in this video we're going to show you how to send rent receipts to your tenants first you want to hover your mouse on the worksheet tab at the top and then click on property worksheet here we have property 1 2 3 Main Street and tenant John Smith you want to click on the green button with the white arrow and you'll get this drop down menu you want to click on tenant actions and we can see you rent receipt for March you want to click on the generate button and the system will automatically open up a new tab for you like this you can also get to this page by going to the tenants tab at the top bulk actions generate rent receipt for any notice you'll always follow these three steps the first step is to customize the email when we click on message text we can see the default message you can customize this and you can also create your own templates the second step is selecting the time period it's always going to default to the current month and the last step is to select the tenants you can also preview the rent receipt before sending it out by clicking on preview on the right-hand side and the system will automatically generate a PDF for you [Music] here is what the rent receipt looks like your name or company name will appear at the top left corner below that the tenants name right here we can see the default message and if we scroll down we can see the total balance due total collected and ending balance when you're ready to send the rent receipt you want to come down here and you can print rent receipt email rent receipt and also publish rent receipt you can also automate sending the rent receipts to all of your tenants to do that you want to hover your mouse on the automate button at the top and click on it here you want to click on rent receipt and you want to check mark automatically send rent receipt emails I'll select the 5th of each month and save so every fifth of the month the system will automatically email rent receipts to all of my tenants
