[Music] foreign welcome back to the channel today I will be showing you how to make invoices in Microsoft Word yep you heard it right invoices I will be making three templates we will also discuss what are the differences between an invoice and an official receipt let us start by typing the title invoice you can adjust your own font style and size you can also make it bold centered left or right position then type the invoice number and date [Music] on the left hand side of the invoice number type your company name under it is the street address City ZIP code mobile or phone number and email address next is the customer details name of the person is optional included here are the company name street address City ZIP code phone and email [Music] it is now time to insert a table this is for the items that was purchased or services rendered I used two columns for this template you can insert multiple columns for your invoice the headers for this table are description and amount with the total inserted at the bottom you can also make the table headers Bold and the cells with color and we're done with the first template let's begin with the second one by typing invoice as the header same as the first template you can choose whichever font and size and where to place the header then type the date and invoice number below [Music] next is the name of the company asking for the payment below it is the address on the right side insert the payer's company name address phone number and email [Music] foreign [Music] column table that includes description quantity unit price and total you can also make the table headers bold in the cells with color [Music] the bottom of the table insert total amount due [Music] foreign to the third and last template the same thing invoice is the header name after the header name type the payee's company name address phone and email on the right side type the payer's company name and other details next insert the invoice number and date it is now time to insert the table that includes item number description quantity unit price and total [Music] foreign below the table insert subtotal tax and total [Music] inserting the additional comments is optional you can add other details here as to your preference then merge columns and rows and adjust the lines [Music] now let us determine what are the differences between an invoice and an official receipt both an invoice and official receipt are considered principal evidence for the sale of goods or property the difference lies in when they are issued and how they are used for accounting purposes while an invoice is a request for payment an official receipt is the proof of payment an invoice is issued once the products or services are delivered while a receipt is issued after the payment is received typically an official receipt is issued only after the customer pays in full on the other hand the sellers can issue invoices to their customers who have credit accounts enabling them to get the goods or services beforehand and pay later [Music] that's it guys thank you for watching for more great content please subscribe to my channel enjoy life enjoy my videos
