hello i'm cliff hall from cortex with another snack video in this edition I'll show you how smooth and easy it is to use progress building in projects for a Q Matic a 2018 our one project progress building is a pretty simple and straightforward process in a Q matica let's take a look at a project we've already opened in this project we've set the building rule to Progress billing now billing rules tell the system how to actually process the invoice related to that you can see here there's one step in a subsequent snack video I'll cover all of what these kinds of things mean for today we're just looking at the fact that we're gonna use progress billing here next thing we want to do is go to revenue budgets under revenue budget we really only need one line but you could put in several lines and maintain them as such as you go through your progress billing this example I'm just going to use the first line right now we have a completed portion of 30% I'm going to go ahead and bump that up to 40% and then run the bill for that and I put up 40% notice that the pending invoice amount now shows up this means I have updated the actual amount complete but I have an invoice for it yet go ahead and save this and then just click run project billing before I do that it's important to make sure that you know that the tasks themselves that you're using are all active that will make sure that the employees actually prints when you run a project billing let's go see how we did there's the actual invoice we created for the thousand bucks we expected and all the proper accounts and the proper inventory IDs we use in this case it was a deposit from here all we have to do is click reports print the invoice double and at this point I'm go ahead and click send to fill out an email with the actual invoice attached to it and send it right to the customer that we're billing after the invoice has been released we click on the invoices tab we will see the invoice that we just sent out and we click that one we'll be able to see or go to drill down right to the invoice we just created essentially that's all there is to actually running progress billing inside of that Comerica 2018 r1 thank you for watching another Coretech snack video subscribe below and find out more about how we can help you enhance productivity and increase your profits choose today to take control your business unleash your potential and let your vision come to life with a Q matica find out more at cortex calm you [Music]
