In this short video, we will create our first patient or client record, and produce a patient bill, as well as an insurance claim. Let's begin by selecting "Patients" from the task bar. Click "New". Enter the patient's name, address, and other demographic information in the fields provided. You can attach a photo to the patient record by clicking "Attach Photo" and entering the URL for the desired photo here. Click the "Insurance" tab to enter the patient's primary, secondary, and even tertiary insurance information. Now, let's select the "Ledger" tab. Create a new bill for this patient by clicking "New Bill". Tab to the billing code column and click the lookup icon. We'll select "Individual psychotherapy, 60 minutes". Now select the diagnosis column and click that lookup icon. Let's select a diagnosis. I'll type the letters "a-n-x" to search for the word "anxiety" in all of the diagnosis codes on file. We'll select the first code. We'll also make this the patient's permanent diagnosis, so that future bills will be pre-populated with this code. Let's also record the patient copayment of $20. Select "Bill Options" to review the bill and insurance options for this bill. This information is automatically populated from the patient record, but can be modified on a per-bill basis.
