what we're going to look at today is consultation so tapping up a history invoicing it add and then saving it and getting it ready for payment so you would pick up a a patient now you can either do that from the appointment screen or you could be picking it up from the patient Ribbon or you could be searching for it it doesn't really matter however you choosing your patient um if you've in the patient screen and you're choosing the patient from the patient screen you would just go here and you'd go new consultation and if this patient came in for example for a vaccination you would just type whatever notes you want to type and you go in and price it up and you see as you start to type the the the fewer letters you put in here the longer your list but as you start to type the list gets shorter and shorter and you get closer to the one that you're wanting so you just choose what whatever you're pricing up you can add in a label if you need to so say you want to dispense some worming tablets and just say give two tablets with food and you can change your quantity if you've pred something up and you change your mind you can just click the little rubbish bin here that will delete it out we'll just go back and add those in again so we've got more to put on our invoice if we get down here and say oh actually we should have given them three we can just go back and say three so we can just edit as we go and now we've got a a total here now we've passed this up we're talking to the owner and they say something and we think o I wonder what we did last time let me just go back to the notes and have a look so to go back and look at previous consultation and previous histories for the patient you would click here on The View patient and that will take you back to the patient notes now you'll see here I haven't saved anything I get a warning that am I happy to leave because I haven't actually saved anything if I leave this page nothing that I've written in here will be saved if I stay on the page I can save what I've done and then go back so I'm going to choose to stay on the page at this point I'm going to save the consultation and that means if I leave this page and go to view patient I won't lose what I've already priced up so this is what I've I've was busy doing in the consultation and these are the previous consultations that we've done so that patient tab just takes you back here now it's not going to be a new consultation to go back into the consultation I was busy with because I've part saved it you can see it's still sitting here in draft I didn't finalize it but I saved what I'd already put in if I I click here on the view it will take me back to where I was so I'd put in all my my things and I wanted to leave and go and view previous notes for this patient so I just click save consultation which saved that draft and then once I was back viewing the patient back here I just clicked on this draft invoice to go back in so that I could finish doing what I was busy doing with it so I've I've now happy that I've done everything I needed to do for this patient so what I'm going to do at this point is Market ready to be paid by market ready to be paid it means I've priced up everything that I want to price up and I'm happy for the reception staff to take the money if I'm still busy pricing things up I don't want to mark this is ready to be paid because the reception staff will take a payment from the client but I haven't priced everything up and the client will still end up owing more money because I hadn't actually finished pricing up but at this point if I'm happy I've priced everything I can Market has ready to be paid in which case it'll come up on the payment screen for the reception staff but I can go back and carry on editing the notes so just to show you that you'll see at this point I haven't ticked that is ready to be paid so at this point if I were to go to the payments and go look at Taz bill so if we go to the payments screen and we choose here to pay off Taz Bill you'll see I don't have an invoice here ready to be paid I do however have a draft invoice so I can see that if I'm sitting on reception that the vet is still busy pricing this up and it's not actually ready for me to take a payment yet until that draft invoice sits here so if I go back to the consultation we just go back in here so I'm back at Taz Bill the consultation I've still got in draft and I view that if Ana Markus is ready to be paid I've now got this pay button up here which I didn't have before so if I want to take a payment in the consultation room I can actually just click here on the pay button and it will take me to the payment screen and you can see here now it's sitting here as an outstanding invoice so for reception staff if they click on the payment screen and go to the Mr Bills record that will actually come up here as ready to pay because I ticked that box saying it was ready to be paid now the other thing you might want to do is you might want to rather use um passing templates so if we go back into the patient record and do a new consultation you'll see on the side here there's a section called templates and if you've got a long list it's up to you and there's a video on this on how to go and make templates you can make up as many templates as you want so you may end up with a very long list here of um templates that are tailored to your clinic if you were to start to search here you'll get up all the templates starting with d um and if you had a longer list and a number of D's and you did De you'll get anything starting with de so if you've got a very long list here you can actually search this list to get up the template that's applicable to the consultation or the procedure that you're busy with this point if you choose your template so I want to up a dental for this animal you can see here's my template and I'll add that to the consultation at this point I can go and add more notes so if I've actually done an extraction and I want to say extract Canon I can go in and say that so I can edit the template I can delete something out of the the template if I decide to to delete something out and whatever that was in the template will be sitting here I can go and amend this so this is a dental grade 3 but I think oh I chose the dental grade 2 template but it was actually Dental grade three so let me go and change that I can go in and change that and I can go and I can add other things in here so now this animal wants to go home with some Advantage I can add some advantage to the template so although you bring the template in you can then go through and amend it as much as you need to I'm not going to send this one home with the dental oral spray I'm going to just delete that line off so I just delete Del that line off so you have complete flexibility it makes it a lot quicker and it means you don't get Miss billing by bringing the templates in you can then go and edit the template should you want to so just like with anything else at this point you'd need to save it and if it's ready to be paid if you've passed everything up you would then want a ticket to make it appear on the collect payment screen for the reception staff and at this point you can take a payment
