[Music] I did welcome to my channel steep of the window cleaner its debut are gonna be talking about scheduling tips as far as scheduling like your commercial jobs your route work jobs your residential jobs and I just want to give you what I have learned over time as far as if you have is the best what is the best way to organize your schedule so starting out my first tip would be to you is in the summer 718 even get started earlier get started as early as possible especially if you are super booked with work even getting the restaurants early and maybe going back to them later works out sometimes that's a that really depends on the restaurant like this morning I'll go clean this restaurant outside I know that they're not going to be there by they're not going to be there and even by 9:30 so actually I'm gonna be doing its amw so around like between 2:00 and 4:00 is a great time to do some restaurants you do like a lot of Pizza restaurants during that time it's a time when a lot of customers are in there and really depends on the size of the restaurant but with these smaller fast-food and kind of just places you can do that with and go later on so what I'll do is I'll clean the outside go do my whole entire day and come back around 4:00 and do the inside the reason that works that was so close to my home if you're doing jobs that are really far away I would not suggest using that method [Music] one other big tip today's pretty sorry but something else I try to do is I try to work in the shade as much as possible you know even though our professional new players and a knife in the street it's still nice to work in the shade and it's also going to be the best situation as far as not having streaks in cleaning windows but it's kind of one of those things that works out if they can at the same time that's not something it's going to happen every single day so here's some more food for thought do you have every storefront little place homes or doesn't matter do you have every little place and sign an invoice as far as every time you get junk done bring it invoice to the customer have them sign it I do think by taking that little step out maybe not inside of a day are you gonna save a bunch of time but inside of a week inside of a year you're gonna save a lot of time not having to go in wait for you know whoever who's gonna sign the invoice and take that time out of your day where you couldn't be spending traveling to the next job or being at the next job so just food for thought as far as you know what can organize your day better is eliminating steps that you could do so we do all of our billing once we get home through QuickBooks so that's just an idea of how to kind of save time and organize in your day this is the way Maggie watches me at every job Maggie what's wrong you don't come clean with me yeah oh she's a sweet girl so one really nice thing about using job or as a CRM for your company is is that they do brute optimization I haven't needed it too much just because I know my brow I know what I'm doing because I've done this rap for so many years but if you're new to route they're definitely gonna need some help as far as you're spending all that time checking to see where job is a good portion of you take so a nice feature of job is they now have optimization so that's welcome to checked out there and also the nice thing is is that after you don't the job which I don't have on I'm sure mini CRM tab but you can check off the job and it it like doesn't cut it out of the schedule puts a line right through it so you don't have to see it and then I would say some other tips would be for dealerships I can't do the ships we do a ton and ton of car dealerships don't ever do dealerships on like Friday so Saturday always schedule your dealerships like Monday Tuesday's Wednesday's those police busy days at dealerships if you're gonna have to do them on a weekend make sure to go inside get the inside done first and then do the outside supply during the day because you don't understand for business its best for them to do it on the weekends okay so let's talk about like homes and large commercial jobs as far as putting those on the schedule usually with homes we really don't start homes until like 8:30 8:45 in the morning just to give the customer kind of time to wake up what we found is going any earlier you run into like the kids are sleeping or the dad or the mom are sleeping like somebody's sleeping in and you can't with our procedure in the way we go in and get stuff done it's like everybody needs to be ever new everybody needs to be going so homes too we try to give them like a general range of time not like you know a three-hour time period but an hour time for you give yourself a little bit of time if something happens at the job before to get there also you know if you're getting done with jobs quick there's no problem of course of giving the customer a call and see anything come early we do run in times we over booked homes somehow some way it always works out I don't get it but somehow it always works out that we get them all done or one cancels like I was trying to loot the other day and it's almost better to be overbooked and have a job cancel than just be booked and have a job cancel and have no work big commercial jobs big commercial jobs those those I like the schedule like to do them on like Fridays and Saturdays I don't really like to do those right first thing and we especially if they're big commercial jobs but you'll find with like the inside of offices some people are really cool with them you're just going in while the people are in there but it is so much easier to do these jobs on like Saturdays when no one's in the office so much so much easier or have the person like the front desk assistant basically message everybody and ask them to get all their stuff off their windowsills window cleaners are going to be here they'll still be people that will pay no attention to that email they'll pay no attention to the message and you'll come in though I think they've never even heard of window cleaning happening that it's gonna happen guaranteed and guaranteed they haven't heard about it because they never checked that email so also another thing with restaurant is don't feel depending on with the restaurant so if the restaurant has an outside you know dining area patio area where people are going to be sitting right away you know starting at 11 o'clock when they open or 10 o'clock they open that time try to get all the insides done by the night this morning I have like four or five restaurants I'm already done with a couple of them and I have a slide for restaurants um we have a couple more right now and I know that the second one I will finish the inside right before they open right before they open but that's fine doing the outside I mean it'll take five ten minutes even on bigger restaurants as long as the customers and the long as the actual clusters of the restaurant are outside and the actual customer that you're servicing for the restaurant doesn't care they should be cool with you finishing the outside when you can as long as there's not customary other side that's something I do a lot is like I kind of cut it pretty close to like just enough time for you to getting at the inside done before they open so I can fit that restaurant in the mornings will always be your craziest time as far as trying to get in stuff so I try to get out and get as much stuff done as early as possible and then to be able to kind of relax towards the end of the day and know I'll put like the smaller stuff in the morning which I know is weird the stuff that I'm like running around to the whole entire morning and then the bigger stuff all put towards the Maggie here's a dog barking for you oh hey he's pissed but then the bigger stuff that I'll be up for a while I'll just put towards the end a exciting you know I'm gonna be there for a little bit so I'd rather just put them in the day so on there I'm not stressing out about all these little things got to run around to you I just want to take care of all that stuff and then do the big jobs in the day so I know and I'm done with those big jobs I'm done 10:39 has completed the russian from the last horse run so I know I'll get another restaurant get the inside done right before 11 o'clock don't you say something [Music] [Music] another pretty big tip of course is to always try to you know do all of your homes in the day in the same city or close to the same city and do all your storefronts in the same city to jump around to different cities a whole lot unless they're closed like there's always gonna be exceptions but really try to narrow down your area if you're doing you know a bunch of stuff in a mall Plaza like I was just doing try to grab a bunch of jobs in there and just grow that area rather than jumping around you know 5-10 minutes in between every single job adds up adds up throughout the year adds up through a few years and you take a lot of time out that you could be cleaning okay so next we have a to dental offices will do in and out of ones like a more of a kid one ones more of an adult one and basically what I have found with dental offices doctor offices they're great businesses to pick up first of all they all they all need to look clean you'll get a few owners here and there you don't can care about that's them up to them whatever timeframe wise really good to do either write for they opens a nice somebody you know if you organize it with them you can do it you know right before they come and get in there get the inside done before anybody's there or what I'm doing right now it's about 12:30 so I'm going to go there do the inside first by the time I finish the inside they'll start having more customers again a lot of these doctor offices usually right around anywhere from noon to like 1:30 have lunch breaks and usually not a lot of customers or patients come in during that time so it's like almost a perfect time to get in there and get the windows clean so right now we're at a wine I'm at a bank and I basically think about holiday stuff like that make sure you know what businesses are open on what holidays sometimes holidays are a great way to fit in work that's usually kind of hard but banks are always closed holidays but banks are really nice business to hit they had to have clean windows they usually do inside mmm four times a year maybe a couple times a year it's usually pretty easy but we do all kinds of banks monthly and every four weeks and then we also do the inside usually once a quarter but it's really nice because banks the insides are always pretty frequently inside it being something really too busy it's mostly late to drive through and stuff like that but things are really good to do really I need the time any time of day usually if they're never too busy inside of course depending in the area but banks are a really nice thing to pick up for your route and really easy really easy to schedule around [Music] I you know one other thing too that I'd like to share with you just and it's not really to do with like the schedule and stuff like that but in talking about like residential route work commercial work if you're somebody that doesn't have a route work and you're mainly going for let's say residential or just big commercial buildings only one thing you should be aware of and why you should be doing route work is the amount of residential and commercial buildings you'll get off of doing Route work is insane it's like the best type of advertising you're out there these people that are walking into it McDonald's are walking into it right now I just did a carpet store really quick six windows but now we do his home we do his daughter's home being referred us to homes and he found us out another job you know and that's the theme like now I think most storefronts that we do we do all their homes now as well and then if they know people like the other day is doing a Phoenix lawn done it for a long time and a lady who just works there comes out and says hey I know this guy he really needs like all these windows clean if it's large commercial building can I refer him and I refer your name to him of course you can of course you can so if you're kind of like struggling for business I would suggest that you go out and really try to grow a route it's gonna take you a while so don't expect that path but overnight or even in a month even in three months expected to really take over like a year to build to some good routes going and the amount of business that you'll get from those routes will help you so much now I'll help you organize this really nice calendar really nice schedule where you'll always be full of work and that's a really nice thing about having group work it is the core of any good window cleaning company so we got to our last job of the day and it's a wedding venue chill chill homey sit sit but it's probably about to rain hail here in about 20 minutes so be always be cognizant of the weather and what's going on I always watch the weather very very closely and figured to a job like this start inside do as much as you can then talk to the customer just make sure they're cool with it most people that you do on a regular schedule are fine with it most people that have places like this are used to and just aren't they just know like rains gonna come whether it's today or tomorrow or it's Wednesday or Thursday or Friday it's gonna happen you know so just do the best you can with it and don't really stress it too much but uh wedding venues wedding venues are great this is a venue kind of for anything and everything outside stuff inside stuff these you always have to pretty much do beginning of the week they could have stuff they could have stuff as being a week but they this one never does but these you always usually have to do beginning of the week you never really do late in the week so you always want to schedule this stuff early in the week and kind of just keep it to that it will be good and so now he's really that calls from places like this to we haven't had it from here but to come on like a special day before an event happens there's another one even ooh we do huge wedding venue and we only do them probably twice a year so it really depends on the customer and what they want but you know another really good place to go cold call is wedding venues so the storm is kind of going away here but as you can see just sprinkling right now customers here hasn't said anything so sometimes you just gotta go for it kind of see what happens but just a hail of rain for a whole entire rest of the night but let's think if you do Windows every four weeks it's okay it's gonna rain between the four weeks so try to get as much done as possible even though it's raining but this is very light it was a lot more extreme about ten minutes ago I did the whole inside did everything I could do to miss the rain do everything you do to miss the rain but sometimes it's just not possible well well done with that so I know this video has a lot of information I threw out a lot of stuff as far as just tips basically to organize your schedule with the window cleaning service business and I love to hear your guys's ideas please write down your ideas down below if you feel like sharing them I'm sure will help others a lot especially I mean this videos really oriented towards new he's sorry if the camera is a little shaky a little dirt road here but just to give you like an idea what you can get done by yourself with a good put together schedule for a day today at its $685 and that consisted of anywhere from jobs like 20 dollars up to 175 I'm usually not a person to really kind of share that stuff but I think in this instance to kind of just tell you you know how these different tips can help you do a lot in a day and with good pricing just a good quality window cleaning business you can do a lot by yourself in a day and 685 for a for one person during the day is it he's a really good total especially for doing just commercial or storefront stuff there's very simple stuff like today what I spent let's see I started 7:30 I ended at 336 eight hours in May and we did $685 of work so 685 divided by 8 so an average of $85 an hour and that was just like taking my time chillin but apart from that I hope this video helps you and
