Begin by opening Matlab to open app designer either type app designer into the console and hit enter or navigate to the apps Tab and click on designer app when app designer opens click on blank app add a label to the design by clicking and dragging the label selection into the GUI design area double-click to edit the value and name it adder click and drag to move the label around and Center it in the design click anywhere in the design area to select the background and change the color to white click the adder label and increase the font size add two numeric edit Fields by clicking and dragging them onto the design add a third numeric edit field by selecting one of the two placed and copying and pasting using Ctrl C and Ctrl V bring another label into the design and rename it to result change the edit field labels to first number and second number respectively change the third edit Fields label to result on second thought we don't need this label anymore so delete it by highlighting it
