But up until the end of last year I was also the Medicaid Director for the MOHealth Net Division, Missouri's Medicaid program, and I want to talk to you today about some upcoming changes to the Missouri Medicaid program that will affect your patients. There will be approximately 200,000 women and children currently covered in the Medicaid Fee-or-Service system operated by the state that will be moved over to being covered by Medicaid Managed Care plans under contract to the Medicaid agency. If you see pregnant women, or if you see children, it's very likely this will affect some of your patients because half of all the pregnant women and children are covered by Medicaid in Missouri.
