Agreement for Permission to Sublet Agreement made on the ___________________ (date) , between __________________ (Name of Tenant) of ___________________________________________________________ _______________________________ (street address, city, state, zip code) , referred to herein as Tenant , and ______________________ (Name of Landlord) , a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the state of ______________, with its principal office located at ____________________________________________________________________ ___________________ (street address, city, state, zip code) , referred to herein as Landlord . Whereas, Tenant is renting from Landlord Apartment No. ______ located at __________ ____________________________________________________________________________ (street address, city, state, zip code) , pursuant to that certain Lease Agreement between Tenant and Landlord dated ___________________ (date) ; and Whereas, Tenant desires to sublet said Apartment to _________________________ (name of sublessee) ; and Whereas, Tenant’s Lease with Landlord states that Landlord’s permission is required before Tenant can sublet the said Apartment; Now, therefore, for and in consideration of the mutual covenants contained in this agreement, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties agree as follows: 1. Landlord does hereby grant permission to Tenant to sublease the said Apartment for a term beginning on __________________ (date) and ending on __________________ (date) . 2. Any and all subtenants shall be required to conform to all obligations and covenants of the Tenant as set forth in the above-described Lease Agreement, and all provisions of said Lease Agreement shall remain in full force and effect for the entire term of the sublease. 3. Any and all adult subtenants shall be required to complete the Landlord's standard rental application and must meet the usual character, employment and credit requirements for tenancy. 4. In the event legal action is required to enforce any provision of this Agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney's fees and costs. 5. This permission to sublease in no way releases the above-named Tenant from any obligation, responsibility or duty of a Tenant as set forth in the above-described Lease.
