YOU ARE GRANTED THE FOLLOWING POWERS WITH RESPECT TO THIS GUARDIANSHIP: 1. The care and management of the property of the minor; 2. The custody and tuition of the minor; 3. The right to exercise authority over the minor as authorized by 14 VSA § 2653. IN DISCHARGING YOUR OBLIGATION, YOU SHALL: 1. furnish the minor suitable employment, and provide for the minor's education and instruction in the arts and sciences or some trade or profession, according to the minor's circumstances; 2. invest and reinvest the cash resources of the minor in bank accounts insured by the FDIC, securities issued by the government of the United States, or by a state or municipality. Subject to the approval of the probate court, not more than 50 percent of the cash resources may be invested in corporate bond as rated AAA by Moody and in common stocks listed on the New York Stock Exchange; 3. furnish evidence to the Court of the investment of funds within 15 days from every investment or change of investment; 4. file with the Court within thirty days an inventory of all the real and personal property of the minor: 5. manage and dispose of the estate and effects according to law and the best interest of the minor and faithfully discharge the trust in relation thereto; 6. render an account of the property of the ward within one year after your appointment as guardian and annually thereafter or at any time the Court may require ; 7. upon the expiration of this appointment, render and settle the account and pay over and deliver the estate and remaining effects to persons legally entitled to same . All guardians are required to perform their duties according to the rules of probate procedure and the laws of Vermont.
