I. Employment Duties. The Church employs the Employee as its Director of Youth Ministry , and the Employee accepts such employment. The Employee's duties include, but are not limited to, the following: A. Provide leadership in overseeing the Middle and High School Youth program and work in partnership with the pastor, staff and volunteers to grow youth into Christian disciples integrated into the greater ministry of the congregation. B. Perform special assignments in all capacities of church ministry as requested by the Senior Pastor. C. Supervise the Recreation Outreach Coordinator D.Assume responsibility for the Church’s ministry to middle and senior high students incorporating elements of worship, education, spiritual development, evangelism, fellowship, recreation, nurture, and support for families with youth. E. Attend staff meetings and other meetings as required. F.Prepare an annual Youth Ministry budget. G.Submit appropriate records and reconcile accounts with the church Financial Secretary in a timely manner. H. Consult with the staff and Finance Committee on fund-raising efforts. I.Interviewing and screening persons desiring to work with youth. J. Make contact with youth and/or families following major illnesses or other crisis to provide support and encouragement for families. K. Regularly visit the youth at their schools, athletic events, band concerts, etc. Employment of Director of Youth MinistryPage 2 of 3 L.Oversee youth visitor follow-up and retention system. M. Oversee the care, repair and replacement of youth ministry equipment and property. N . Plan, select curriculum, train teachers, and conduct weekly Sunday School classes, Sunday evening youth group meetings and evening study classes. O . Plan, coordinate, staff and supervise all regular and seasonal youth activities and events. P . Promote and coordinate summer retreats, mission trips, and special programs. Q . Schedule and lead quarterly parent meetings. R. Plan, organize and supervise recreational activities lead by youth at special church gatherings such as church VBS, retreats and church picnics. R . Plan and carry out programs that attract and involve youth that are not attending another church. S. Provide support and counsel as needed T.Such other reasonable matters related to the purposes of the Church as the officers and directors of the Church delegate to the Employee as or may be provided for in the bylaws of the Church. II. Compensation. The Church shall pay the Employee a salary of $ per month. The Church must withhold FICA and federal income tax in accordance with law. III. Expenses. The Church shall reimburse the Employee for all reasonable and necessary expenses which he may incur relative to his services for the Church, including but not limited to travel, telephone, postage, typing, and copying expenses. The Church will provide reimbursement within days of submission by the Employee to the treasurer or any (Number) other officer of the Church of documentation supporting expenditures. The Employee will submit all documentation for an expense within days after the expense is incurred. (Number) IV. Term. The term of this agreement will commence, and the Employee's salary will commence, on , and will continue until terminated, with or without cause, by (Date) either party on written notice to the other. V. Severability. The invalidity of any portion of this Agreement will not and shall not be deemed to affect the validity of any other provision. VI. No Waiver. The failure of either party to this Agreement to insist upon the performance of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, or the waiver of any breach of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, shall not be construed as subsequently waiving any such terms and conditions, but the same shall continue and remain in full force and effect as if no such forbearance or waiver had occurred. VII. Governing Law. This Agreement shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of . (Name of State) VIII. Notices. The arbitration shall be governed by the rules of the American Arbitration Association then in force and effect. X. Entire Agreement. This Agreement shall constitute the entire agreement between the parties and any prior understanding or representation of any kind preceding the date of this Agreement shall not be binding upon either party except to the extent incorporated in this Agreement. XI. Modification of Agreement. Any modification of this Agreement or additional obligation assumed by either party in connection with this Agreement shall be binding only if placed in writing and signed by each party or an authorized representative of each party. XII. Assignment of Rights. The rights of each party under this Agreement are personal to that party and may not be assigned or transferred to any other person, firm, corporation, or other entity without the prior, express, and written consent of the other party.
