CAA NIAGARA CAR CARE PLUS Vehicle Repair Contest Rules 1. CONTEST RULES There are two ways to enter: Log in to www.wefixcars.ca and fill in a contest ballot on line between 12:01 a.m. EST, Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006 and 11:59 p.m. EST, Oct. 31, 2006 and you will automatically receive one (1) contest entry. OR No Purchase Necessary Mail to CAA Niagara “We Fix Cars Contest”, 3271 Schmon Parkway, Thorold, ON L2V 4Y6 an original, unduplicated hand-drawn CAA card, along with your name, complete address and home telephone number, during the contest period and you will receive one (1) contest entry. Entries must be mailed in a separate envelope with sufficient postage and received by the contest closing date of 11:59 p.m. EST, Oct. 31st, 2006. Maximum one entry per household. 2. GRAND PRIZE DRAW There will be one (1) Grand Prize awarded, consisting of: $1,000 CAD in repairs (any ratio of labour and parts totally $1,000 CAD) provided by CAA Automotive Services (Niagara) Inc. (Car Care Plus) (Commercial vehicles excluded) 3. DRAW SCHEDULE The draw will be conducted November 1st, 2006 by an independent judging organization in St Catharines, Ontario from all eligible entries received between 12:01 a.m. EST Aug. 1, 2006 and 11:59 p.m. October 31st, 2006. The prize is not transferable and not redeemable for cash. In order to be declared a winner, selected entrants must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question by phone or by mail. The winner will be required to sign a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the contest rules, acceptance of the prizes as awarded and releasing the Sponsors from all liability. No substitution or exchanges of the prizes by entrants will be allowed. The prize will be delivered only to a confirmed winner. CAA Automotive Services (Niagara) Inc. reserves the right to change or substitute any prize with prizes of equivalent or greater value. 4. The contest is open to all residents of the Regional Municipality of Niagara, with a valid driver’s licence, except employees of CAA Niagara and its affiliated companies, its advertising agencies, the independent judging organization, and all persons with whom they are domiciled. Entrants who are under the age of majority at the date of entry are eligible to enter and win a prize provided his or her parent or legal guardian accepts any such prize and the terms and conditions hereof for and on behalf of such entrant. 5. All decisions of the independent judging organization are final. The chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received by the appropriate closing date for each draw. The Sponsors assume no responsibility for entries that are lost, stolen misdirected, destroyed or delayed. The sponsor reserves the right to change the terms of this contest or terminate it at any time, without prior notice. 6. All entries become the property of CAA Niagara and none will be returned. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants who will be notified by mail or telephone. Entrants, by entering this contest, agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and consent to the use of their name, photograph, and/or hand-drawn CAA card, without compensation, in any future publicity carried out by the Sponsors in connection with this contest. 7. By entering this contest, each entrant consents to the collection, use and distribution of his/her personal information by the sponsor for the purpose of implementing, administering and fulfilling this contest and future electronic communications. 8. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. 9. The rules of the contest will be available for review at all CAA Niagara locations. 10. All entries become the property of the sponsor, which assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or down loading any material in the promotion. The sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the e-mail portion of this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of the sponsor corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way.
