IN THE CHANCERY COURT OF COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI IN THE MATTER OF THE PETITION OF FOR ADOPTION OF THE MINOR CHILD NO. DESCRIBED WITHIN JUDGMENT OF ADOPTION THIS DAY this cause came on for hearing on the Petition of , seeking adoption of , born , and joined by , natural father/mother of said child and as next friend of said child, and after having considered said Complaint and the Exhibits thereto and all proof, thi s Court satisfied that said adoption should be granted, and finding that it has jurisdiction of the parties and the subject matter further finds as follows: I. Petitioners, and , are bona fide resident citizens of County, Mississippi, residing at and have been residents of the State of Mississippi for more than ninety (90) da ys. Immediately preceding the date of the filing of this Complaint, and that the minor child sought to be adopted resides with Petitioners in County, Mississippi. II. The natural father/mother of the child sought for adoption herein is and he/she is presently married to the Petitioner and joins herein as next friend of the aforesaid minor child and consents to the adoption of the aforesaid minor child by Petitioner, as natural fathe r/mother and next friend of the minor child who is the subject of this Complaint. III. The natural father/mother of the child sought for adoption herein is , and as natural father/mother of the minor child who is subject of this Petition, he/she joins herein and consents to the adoption of the aforesaid minor child by Petitioner, , all as stated in the Consent to Adoption and Release of Parental Claim attached to the Petition for Adoption as Exhibit " ". IV. That said minor child, , was born on , unto said natural mother and the natural father, , during their marriage, which was terminated by divorce on . A copy of the bi rth certificate of the minor child is attached hereto as Exhibit " ". V. That said Minor child, , age , born on , is more than fourteen (14) year(s) old and pursuant to Miss. Code Ann. Section 93-17-5 (1972), joins herein and consents to his/her adoption by the Petitioner, . VI. That Petitioner, , who seeks the adoption of the aforesaid minor child, has had the care, custody and control of , since , , when Petitioner and the natural mothe r of the minor child were married. Petitioner has grown to love the child as his/her own, and now seeks the adoption of such minor child, who has no property or estate, as evidenced by Exhibit " " attached to the Petition for Adoption, but who is physically and mentally fit to be adopted as shown by the doctor's certificate attached to the Petition for Adoption as Exhibit " ". VII. That Petitioner, , is a fit, suitable and proper person to adopt said minor child and t hat he/she proposes to rear, train and educate said child and that he/she is financially able to afford the care of said child. That when the minor child came to live in his/ her home that the place of residence of said child became established in County, Mississippi and that this Court has jurisdiction of this Cause. VIII. That the Petitioner, , desires that the minor child shall inherit from and through his/ her and that likewise, shall inherit from and through said minor child, and that the m inor child shall inherit from and through any children born to said and husband/wife, , now and in the future, and that such children born to said Petitioner and husband/wife, shall inherit from and through the minor child all to the same extent and under the same condition as provide d for inheritance between parents and between brothers and sisters in full blood in acc ordance with the laws of decent and distribution of the State of Mississippi, all such inheritance bet ween said parties to be the same extent as if the minor child herein had been born to t he adopting parent as a child of his/her body born in lawful wedlock; and, further that the minor child, the adopting parent and the adopting kindred shall be vested with all of the rights, powers, duties and obligations, respectively, as if the minor child had been born to and husband/wife, , in lawful wedlock, including all rights existing by virtue of Miss. Code Ann. Section 11-7-13 (1972). IX. That no further investigation is necessary and that a final judgment of adoption should be entered herein without any further waiting period or without an interlocutory judgment pursuant to the provisions of Miss. Code Ann 93-17-13 (1972). IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED AND ADJUDGED: (a) That , born , be and he/she is hereby adjudged and declared to be adopted by Petitioner, ; (b) That the parental rights and any parental duties of the natural father/mother of said child, , be and the same are hereby terminated for all purposes; (c) That said child shall inherit from and through and that likewise, shall inherit from and through said minor child, and that the minor child shall inherit from and through any children born to said and husband/wife, , now and in the future, and that such children born to said Petitioner and husband/wife, shall inherit from and through the minor child all to the same extent and under the same condition as provided for inheritance between parents and between brothers and sisters in full blood in accordance with the laws of decent and di stribution of the State of Mississippi, all such inheritance between said parties to be the sa me extent as if the minor child herein had been born to as a child of his/her body born in lawful wedloc k; and, further that the minor child, and the adopting kindred shall be vested with all of the rights, powers, duties and obligations, respectively, as if the minor child had been born t o and husband/wife, , in lawful wedlock, including all rights existing by virtue of Miss. Code Ann. 11-7-13 (1972). (d) That the natural parent, , and his/her kindred shall not inherit by or through the minor child herein. (e) That the Director of the Bureau of Vital Statistics of the State of Mississippi is hereby required to furnish to . , Attorney for Petitioners, the name and address of the proper official in the State of , the state where the child named herein was born, to whom the adoption decree and other information may be referred for appropriate action, and the Di rector is hereby ordered to furnish to said attorney the certified copy of this decree and the ce rtificate furnished by the clerk.
