TO: THE HONORABLE CIRCUIT COURT OF , COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI:
COMES NOW the Plaintiff, the State of Mississippi, by and through the Mississippi
Bureau of Narcotics, and would respectfully show unto the Court the following:
1. That this is a civil action for the forfeiture of property under the authority of
Sections 41 - 29 - 101 et seq. of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, known as the Uniform
Controlled Substances Law.
2. That the subject matter of this action is One (1) , VIN which is
subject to forfeiture under the provisions of Section 41 - 29 - 153(a)(4) of the Mississippi Code of
1972, as amended, having been used, or intended for use, to transport or to facilitate the
transportation, sale, receipt, possession or concealment of controlled substances in violation of
the Mississippi Uniform Controlled Substances Law. That said vehicle should be forfeited
pursuant to Section 41 - 29 - 179(4) of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended.
3. That the Plaintiff, pursuant to provisions of Section 41 - 29 - 177 of the Mississippi
Code of 1972, as amended, has determined that the following persons have, or may have, an
interest in subject property and should be served with a copy of this Petition for Forfeiture by
service of process in compliance with Rule 4 of the Mississippi Rules of Civil Practice and
Procedure:

4. That the above - described vehicle was lawfully seized, pursuant to Section
41 - 29 - 153(b) of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. That said seizure was made on or
about , in County, Mississippi, and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics has
lawfully retained custody of subject property since seizure. That said property is now located at
Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Headquarters, in Jackson, Mississippi and will remain there
until proper disposition has been ordered by this Court.
NOW, THEREFORE, your Plaintiff, the State of Mississippi, by and through the
Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, respectfully requests that process be served upon the
above - named persons according to law, and that this Court, after due consideration of all matters
pertinent to this action, shall order that the vehicle be forfeited to be used or disposed of in
accordance with law, and shall order such other and further relief as may be just and proper.
