RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS - You will be considered a resident of New Hampshire if you are domiciled or have a place of abode in New Hampshire, and if you demonstrate a current intent to designate that place as your principal place of physical presence for the indefinite future to the exclusion of all others. VOTING REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS - In order to vote in the state of New Hampshire, you must meet the following requirements:  You must be a U.S. citizen.  You must be 18 years of age or older on election day,  You must present proof of age, citizenship and residency.  You must complete a standard voter registration form up to ten days before any election or, if qualified, you may register on Election Day at the polling place. You may obtain a voter registration form at your town or city clerk’s office or at your community's Supervisors of the Checklist that meet on the Saturday ten days prior to each election. IDENTIFICATION CARD REQUIREMENTS - In order to obtain an identification card in New Hampshire, you must meet the following requirements:  You must complete an Application for Driver License or I.D. Card.  You must go to the Division of Motor Vehicles or any substation and present an original birth certificate and one other form of identification such as, your social security card or passport.  You must present proof-of-residency. DRIVER’S LICENSE REQUIREMENTS - As a new resident, you have 60 days to obtain your New Hampshire driver’s license. In order to obtain a driver’s license card in New Hampshire, you must meet the following requirements:  You must go to the New Hampshire Department of Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles or any substation and present acceptable proof of residency in the form of one of the following: o New Hampshire Valid Registration o Town/City Clerk Approval of Residency o Utility Bill With Postmark Date o New Hampshire Hunting or Fishing License  You must present acceptable proof of identity in the form of your certified birth certificate plus one of the following: o Passport o Baptismal Certificate o Marriage Certificate o Social Security Card o Military ID  You must present a legal document reflecting a name change, when applicable.  You must surrender your current driver’s license from the state from which you have moved. V EHICLE TITLE AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS - In order to register your vehicle in New Hampshire, you must meet the following requirements:  If you own your vehicle, you must submit the title, along with proof of residency, to the town or city Division of Motor Vehicles office or substation where you reside.  If you lease your vehicle, if there is a lienholder on your vehicle or if your vehicle is title exempt, you must submit the following to the town or city office where you reside: o Out-of-state registration. o Lease agreement, if applicable. o Lienholder’s name and address. o Proof of residency.
