-i- the spouse will also be asked to agree to the terms of any other divorce agreements. -i- the court may require the spouses to sign and date the following items: 1. Agreement on all custody schedules 2. Agreement on living arrangements 3. Agreement on any support schedule (except maintenance) 4. Agreement on alimony 5. Agreement on property settlement 6. Any divorce agreement, other than the divorce agreement between you and your spouse. The spouse will be asked to sign the divorce agreement and the divorce agreement before the court enters a judgment. If the spouse agrees, the divorce agreement will be presented at or after the first court date. The court will not accept an agreement to the court that you will not sign and date the divorce agreement. If both parties agree to the terms presented in the divorce agreement, the parties then sign the divorce agreement together. If neither party agrees to the terms presented in the divorce agreement, both parties then sign a separate agreement. The spouse may also sign a separate agreement for each spouse at the first court date. The spouse may either sign the form at the hearing or, if the spouse cannot agree to the terms presented in the divorce agreement at the first court hearing, sign it at that hearing. The spouse may sign a separate agreement during or after that same hearing. Each spouse then signs the divorce agreement together. Once a court hearing begins, the person presenting the agreement must be present at the hearing. If the parties have chosen to sign the agreement together at the first court hearing, the divorce agreement is not required for the court to accept it. If the parties have chosen to sign the agreement separately at the first court hearing, the agreement must be presented at that court hearing either in person or by fax or email. If the court accepts the divorce agreement or divorce agreement with either signatory absent, the court will issue a permanent divorce decree, and that judgment will become the legal and valid decree of divorce between the parties. Once the decree is issued, the name on the divorce decree will be the same as the current name for each spouse. If the parties do not agree on the divorce decree, the parties may file an appeal of the decision within 10 business days of receipt. After the divorce decree is issued, you and your spouse must file certain divorce papers with the court. The court will send all papers together with the divorce decree to you and your spouse. Once you and your spouse have filed the divorce papers, you cannot change any of your current address or telephone number.
