- 1 - PREMARITAL AGREEMENT READ BEFORE SIGNING: IMPORTANT NOTICE: EACH PARTY TO THIS AGREEMENT AGREES THAT THEY HAVE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO CONSULT WITH AN ATTORNEY OF THEIR CHOICE LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAW IN THEIR STATE OF RESIDENCE (NOT THE SAME ATTORNEY) AND THAT HAVE FULLY READ, UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT. (check all that apply): has been divorced; and has never been married, a divorce order for such divorce is in effect in this state and she/he is: not affiliated with this proposed agreement this plan was designed to help our students and faculty who are involved in cohabiting relationships and have been in those cases for many years to understand the consequences of violating the rules of conduct. We have established this program to ensure that the rules of conduct are respected so that all persons participating and all persons on this campus have good quality experiences, be they gay, straight or intersex. We have come to the conclusion that all individuals under the age of 18 years in cohabiting relationships not members of the opposite sex should remain in the relationship and that it is up the individual involved to determine if they are willing to live together. While cohabitation does not result in a legally recognized marriage, it does result in the formation of a relationship which may result in a legal marriage, if the conditions are right. Additionally, as previously stated, cohabitation does not mean that two individuals cannot share other property with other individuals. Thus, a person can have multiple roommates under one roof regardless of whether there will be a legal marriage contract between them. There is a difference, however, in the age of a person who decides to cohabit ate from a 15 to 17 years old child, to an adult over the age of 18 years of age, then the adult must first obtain, and then obtain permission from the District of Columbia attorney general. It has been determined that this program is not in conflict with our policies on this subject. As this is a voluntary agreement, the parties can, if desired, withdraw from it at whatever time they choose. The parties are free to accept or decline the program. 1. Consent by each party: this agreement is intended in conjunction with a cohabitation agreement. The parties affirm that the cohabitation agreement is an independent agreement, not a part of this agreement. 2. Right of entry: this cohabitation agreement is meant to be a guideline and a guide to the parties when entering a cohabitation relationship. 3. Renter's declaration of identity and purpose: under this agreement the female roommate may only live with the male roommate. Therefore, the female is under no obligation to live with the male
