What is your most effective productivity tool?
Productivity is about maximizing your time and tasks within a reasonable time frame. Depending on who you ask, the priorities vary and are different.People are obsessed with productivity these days, but few think about what it actually means. In the traditional sense, the phrase "increasing productivity" means making more money, goods, or both. But being more productive now has a much more personal meaning. Ultimately, it's about achieving goals and making the most of your time.Productivity software makes your work and personal tasks easier and more efficient to complete. Although office suites and business applications still have a prominent role in our lives, this category of software has expanded far beyond those buttoned-down fields.Of course, plenty of productivity apps exist specifically for the workplace. Project management services, for example, help teams keep track of work and assets, reducing the need for meetings. These platforms also give employees greater visibility into all the moving parts of a project, including who is responsible for what task.My most effective productivity tool is Brief.Modern life is filled with battles against information overload and constant connectivity. With so much effort spent filtering, absorbing, and prioritizing competing information streams, teamwork often suffers. To be effective, team leaders need the bird’s-eye view to efficiently manage workflows involving internal and external projects across multiple communication apps (text vs audio vs video), task trackers, synced calendars, and so much more. Brief was built to simplify and streamline the tools, processes, and time spent on planning and execution.Brief is a team collaboration tool enabling team members to prioritize and focus on important tasks while minimizing distractions. Brief is a productivity app that helps you focus your day to achieve more professionally and personally. Its clean, minimalist dashboard combines team chat, video, hubs, to do lists, file sharing and storage helping you action priorities that drive the most impact.Brief’s powerful productivity app gives users simple tools that bring personal and team focus. By combining chat, task dashboards, team hubs, file sharing and storage, teams have a simple menu of productivity tools that help execute around priorities, to make every action count.Brief’s entrepreneurial collaboration dashboard combines video, organization and communications tools into an elegant user dashboard that allows you to easily connect to anyone in the world, in real time either face-to-face or through chat/team hubs. When used effectively, Brief can eradicate the need to use email, making communication quicker and more focused. Research shows that 73 percent of all emails received by employees are no even relevant to their roles. More focused personal decision making and execution means a more focused you, and a more focused team that achieves more together.During our team work we used BRIEF for our team collaboration and found a great service from here.Hope you will have a great team experience from there.Good Luck.

What does Google know about me?
PRIVACY is touchy subject for sure. Many of us Know that Google tracks us on Everything. For those who don’t know.. have you been living under a rock? BecauseYour parents weren’t lying.Everything you put online, everything you’ve seen, everything down to the words you typed out to get to this page. This complete virtual rendering of ourselves is locked away by a singular Mega corporation with Unlimited control over this information..Starts to sound like the introduction of a futuristic Big Brother dystopia. Not a good thought. There is still hope!Other search engines are emerging that are focusing on privacy first. One such search engine is DuckDuckGO. So I highly recommend you add this extension as a safeguard for your information. If you feel Google is misusing your information or plans to in the future this is the most basic step in preserving your privacy in an increasingly open source world. Before we jump right into it. Feel free to look at my profile to learn more about the skills for preserving your privacy but also how to Leverage and Command your own sliver of the online landscape. Make profits in new unique ways only possible in our connected world. If You Can’t Beat Them Why Not Join Them?If you’re still adimment in beating the system, then you need to start by knowing what information the system is collecting from you.So..Buckle in, prepare, and keep your mind open to all the angles you’re being studied.I am no internet security expert nor do I work for Google themselves, so with everything you read online take it with a grain of salt, examine the facts, and decide for yourself. With that said, I have been working with the online landscape for the past 9 years. I have done my homework to make sure you’re getting the best information and want to help provide context for the average man and woman out there who just want to live their lives on their own terms. For those reasons I strongly believe I have authority to answer this question. So like always sit back, grab a drink, and get ready to buckle down for this new information.Plus once Google collected everything they can from us we can restock our fridge with the push of a button!Obviously we’ll need a solid foundation…So How Has Google Changed ?Google was originally just a search company, very much like how Quora is now just on a much larger scale. But over time the company saw the profitability that came with posting relevant ads based on what people like you and me causally search up.Everything from the vacation we book down to the toilet paper we use.And over time Google changed its business model from simply being a search engine, to positioning itself as the single greatest tracking platform in the world.Remember the Formula:The better Google can track what you search + The better they target ads at you.= Greater % you buy from their ads..so they make commissions from those ads.The Thing Is.You don’t even have to use Google products directly. They still can track your search habits because they embed trackers into non Google owned sites.((spreadprivacy follow by ads article)) I am still getting Quora’s algorithm to realize I am not a spammer so just search those keywords up in your preferred search engine. And through that link more explanation is given for how Google is able to track you through related Google apps, etc. But for us we just need to know that Google can and currently has trackers running on the 75% of the top million websites believe it or not.Let’s Dive Into The SpecificsLet's Say You’re Using One of Google’s ProductsDid you catch that? The diagram is the Youtube Logo (Google happens to own Youtube) so they can track you much further if you’re on that as well.On top of that if you happen to be using Androids. Google owns that too. Here’s some contextIf you have Location Services on, Google is tracking where you been.If you ever used and phone app ever. Google tracks, when you’re on them, where you use them, and who you do or don't interact with while using them. All text. All photos. If you’re watching Youtube on the toilet, just make sure you cover the camera lense. You can try to go into the settings to stop this but there are known to be many problems associated with this. Like not being able to make the most out of apps or technology like Google Home.Let's Move Forward, Why Does Google Want All of This Info On Us?Remember the formula:The better Google can track what you search + The better they target ads at you.= Greater % you buy from their ads..so they make commissions from those ads.So knowing all these points of data lets them build a virtual you which they have been marketing too. If this doesn’t raise red flags then it should because:You’re the Only One Not Profiting!Meanwhile Google collects all this information from you. And we are partly at fault because we allow Google to bid this information to thousands of online advertisers. No different than if you were the cow that kept producing milk.Often times we don’t even know we’re the cow or who is drinking the milk. What alternative is out there for us?Well a little know site DuckDuckGo is that very site. The site made for individuals. Made for you. And it’s far from the only step you can take to gain your independence. But we’re just taking some baby steps. For those arguing that no one should have anything to hide, they are lying. They are lying to themselves and sell us on a false sense of reality. If they have money saved in their bank account. Then they are benefitting from privacy. If they have never been a victim of identity theft they are benefitting from privacy. If they have never been exploited then again we see the benefits. And so on and so forth. What problems pop up when all this information is up for grabs?Everyone is unwillingly forced into a safe space, highly targeted ads are unfairly taking advantages of life situations and products are shoveled to consumers instead of them choosing on their own behalf. How Do We Escape Google’s Trap? There are many different ways to reduce your online footprint. Here are alternatives to use right now:Google searching> DuckDuckGo: All your searches will be private. Like Google it is free as well. There are additional options like shortcuts, instant answers and the certainty that none of the sites you seek are being filtered out.Gmail, Contacts and Calendar> FastMail: After paying you will have the same tools Google offers minus the tracking. Like Google it has these tools across all technology platforms.Youtube> Vimeo (free and paid): Not nearly as widespread as Youtube but if you are truly determined to reduce your online footprint this is the best alternative focused on creators.Google Maps> Apple Maps, Waze: These are free features are available for ios users and will not track where you have been. For those not using Ios then Waze is a cross platform app and offers many additional features which outperform Google Maps in many cases.Google Drive> Resilio Sync, Tresorit: Resilio will offer private file storage, any back ups, and lets you share files and so will Tresorit with their own additional features.Android> iOS: The most popular alternative ans in many cases the dominant software. One reason to start going Apple. They certainly have the nicest stores.Google Chrome> Safari, Firefox, Braze: Other than the occasional pop up that is not supported on Safari these sites will keep your searches private.Bloggers> Ghost, Wordpress: These both offer platforms for anyone looking to start an authority site. Feel free to check my profile if you want to know more about why these matter for making profit online. Wordpress power at least a quarter of the world’s websites and will offer a hosting service with no 3rd party trackers.Google Hangouts> Zoom, appear in: These communication mediums are very functional and provide exceptional quality. They offer paid options but their quality for the free versions is exceptional.Android messages> Signal: This platform is free and offers private messages and calls. These platforms are going to provide exceptional security to your most important calls and keep messages truly between you and whoever is on the other end.Google Groups> Discord: Also free but with paid options. This discussion platform offers private conversations and can hold massive groups which are truly private. All of these tools do offer paid programs but no need to worry because all of the tools work exceptionally well for the free version. So with other online products try the free version and see if you want to get more out of them if you feel their worth it.I want you to take these alternative tools and use them to empower yourself and take back your privacy. But you need to also take advantage of the opportunity you have today. An opportunity that you probably don’t even know that’s available to you.Never forget that you are more privileged right now where you are sitting, have more power, and potential signNow than even the most powerful king in history. Even if it doesn’t always feel that way.Why Should You Care? You don’t have too, you could keep to yourself and do whatever you want. I’m not trying to convince you otherwise. Whatever you’re doing right now is 10 times better than what i’m talking about. My only concern is if you aren’t where you want to be in life. If you don’t have the life you want. Not in any cliche way either. I don’t care if you’re rich, or live in a normal apartment. No one does actually, people are usually thinking only about themselves. With that said, if you aren’t happy then Why are you not leveraging the online market like thousands of other people? It’s The Most Effective Tool Which You Don’t Use. Before I show you how to exploit this tool here are MORE Privacy Steps you can Take.To Stay Off of Tracker’s Radars Then:Use other browsers over Chrome.Never stay logged into your email accounts.Turn off location history, voice history, Youtube search, search history, then for all apps you use turn off saved history if you can.Use alternative keyboards like Swiftkey if you’re and Android user.Only keep your location services off unless you absolutely need it on.You can go into your bowsers settings and set it to clear any cookies you acquired every time you exit out of it.Opt-out of ads which are based on your interest.Switch to another provider over Gmail if possible for you. Switching your email could be a lengthy process but I will let you guys know if I can find a simple solution. If you have possibly dangerous javascript third party pop ups being a problem then get the addon like Ghostery. And avoid wherever possible not use Chrome on your phone or apps that use Chrome if you can help it.Here’s a Simple Way to Delete your Google Search History:This is what you’ll see when going into settings for your Google setting. Once you deleted your data from all time then most of you search history will be out of Google’s hands. Now to the good stuff. The barrier to jump into the online marketplace and begin to monetize from many different angles are seemingly endless. There are over 3 billion people with internet access and how much would your life change if you knew how to tap into a sliver of that?It would be unrecognizable.Detailed analysis:Little start-up cost. Maybe no more than $1000. Spend $100-250 to find the right designer to design your personal unique and attractive brand. A domain which cost you maybe $5/ year.A funnel building platform which the best current one starts at $49.99 / month and gives you the list builder and all the other tools you need. Finally you take the rest of the investment and use it to pay your designer, buy 2-3 courses for one type of traffic source, like how to get organic traffic, how to run facebook ads, how to do PPC ads, etc.And of course 6-8 months of consistent hard work to continuously engage, post content, optimizing your sales funnel, and continuously doing this until you built your first list which you will sell too. This is why we see little kids barely in their 20’s making just as much if not more than what their own parents made their entire working career in just a few years.Let’s Look at the bare bone essentialsAre you going to commit? Sit down and ask yourself what idea do I want to pursue and what is my goal. Why am I going to push myself to work so so hard? When you decide that you won’t waste your time and you’ll just execute then move to the next step. What’s your niche? And Become and AUTHORITY in that niche. Dog training, horse saddles, mug collections, surf boards. It can be anything in the world. The best tip is to choose something you’re already passionate about, or is a hobby. If you don’t have any passions and you just want the money. Then start with keyword researching the good or service that’s in demand and has low competition. See who’s currently making the most money in that niche in that moment and use the EXACT same sales funnel they are using. And fill in the model with your own research, keywords, etc. What matters most is using the same exact template + you give GREATER value than your nearest competitor. That way you will build you own list of warm leads which you can continuously sell too as long as you keep them engaged. There is no secret to that it just means emailing, using chatbots, posting content of social media. What takes the most time is that first list and maintaining that one. But from there you can just keep making more and more.Build and authority website. This is where your warm leads that have not yet purchased anything(converted) will be sent as a part of the sales funnel. Here you will continually give value!!! If you’re in the dog training niche then your lead magnet will be an ebook (Complete guide on how to train your dog as a beginner). Then in your site you can run a blog like this, you can post videos of professional dog trainers training a dog, post testimonials from others who have purchased from you and leave a video of satisfaction. All this takes time, work and implementation. So really ask yourself if you’re committed to doing all of this.If you’re promoting a (product/s) then it will just be to a page with blogs and videos about a certain item and up-sale your leads on many other similar products. Spend a great amount of effort to create a membership site that will be your personal hub to promote everything you wish to promote to your list. When you make mistakes or feel lost and confused. Don’t give up rather make it habit to break down every, single, aspect of your business and test each part that is not working. These test can be done within a month or so of seeing how many leads are going through your funnel. Again you need a software that will tell you this information. You can find the software I use in my profile link (Young Entrepreneurs) will take you to it. You don’t want to do what most people do which is say I guess I can’t fix it. Maybe I should move to a new businesses model. If you do this you’ll never make money. So choose the harder path and literally modify the words in your funnel, delete certain blog post see which is best, upload more videos, upload less. After you check everything you can make the best informed decision. Those are most of the essentials you need to know. I truly want you right here to make a promise to yourself. That in 2019 you won’t waste your invaluable time spinning your wheels. You either commit and fail a lot, get mentors, invest money, sacrifice some fun, friends, whatever you gotta do or not commit at all.Because giving up your life now is not worth BSing that you’ll make it in business just because you started to talk about it on social media. That’s a failing strategy.BonusYou guys know that I love giving you guys some treats. So I am going to making a video and upload it here to Quora on my next answer and in it I will be shouting out one random person who upvotes this answer.I know you guys are gonna be super excited to get this ball rolling this year.Take the next vital step now that you know how to keep yourself safe. Since you are safe start working towards getting the life you want to exploiting the tool that once exploited you without remorse. Plus here is an outdo video of some value I gave.0:00-2:21You know what you should do? Challenge Yourself.“Good things come to those who.. Go the heck out and earn it”.If you liked this information and wish to see more answers like this make sure to:Share this across platforms, Upvote, and give a Follow on my Profile page.Have an exceptional day! From the Young Entrepreneurs.

What is one thing that I can learn from you today?
* Recently I visited a Burger King restaurant with my friend in west Delhi. By looking around for best seat, we settled and then went to cash counter for ordering something. * There was a lady waitress at the counter (most of the people obey what she ask to purchase at the counter just because they feel ashamed) * She asked us about our order, I ordered 2 veg burgers with cold drinks. * She replied - Sir, could I add a combo in which you will get extra french fries for lil more money. I was hungry so I said yes. * Then she asked me whether I want extra cheese or not, she said this too fast that I was unable to hear and I listened her voice as (sir, ex - t - tease). * I asked her to speak again and clearly so that I can understand it properly then she said gently this time - sir, extra cheese? I said Ohk. * She added 30 more rupees in the bill and I said you just added extra 30, is it just for cheese? she said yes. * I asked her to take back the cheese, as I am not going to pay 30 rupees for a cheese worth rupees 10. * The group of girls around me was looking at me as I did some crime, but I don't care even it's my money and I can spend it wherever I want. %3E Now she made the bill of 167₹ and gave me 30₹ back. She doesn’t gave me remaining 3₹ coins and asked me to donate it in their charity/development fund. I simply said a No, I would love to take my remaining money back. ( I can't trust them that where they will use this money they were asking to donate and in reality they use it for themselves only, i would love to donate in NGO’s or old age Home rather than these 5 star restaurants) This time the girls around the counter were giving more dangerous look accompanied by the waitress. (Lekin apan ko fark nahi padta pese mere hain jahan marji vahan kharch karun) * Actually most of the people (commonly boys) couldn't say a no to the girls and that too in restaurants and mall but this is not fair everyone has the right to spend their hard earned money wherever they want, no one could force us. * Don't think that giving them extra ₹ in front of girls or anyone would make you cool actually they are making you fool. (Don't feel ashamed to ask them even for your single coin, money is what you should value and specially when you are not earning it) So, you can learn a habit of denying someone at any level if it's related to you and your money.

What shocked you today?
PEOPLES EXPECTATIONS FROM GIRLS IN ARRANGED MARRIAGES…So this incident took place recently. My Cousin Brother who is 23 years old, his family is looking for a girl for marriage.First let me tell you about their family. They are very big farmers with other bussiness also running. In short , they are rich and live in their village. So after looking few girls, they finalised a girl after meeting her, but what happened is that in that meeting , only the boy and his parents went but my Nani and other relatives didn't go as they were not available due to some reasons. They finalised the marriage but most of my relatives and Nani were still unaware of who the girl was but the Boy liked the girl. ( Both of them have studied in the same schools till 12th as she is also from a nearby village and he knows her quite well that's why he agreed )But the problem arose 2 days later ( i.e yesterday) when after doing the engagement everyone returned home , and my nani told everyone that she didn't like the girl, she said that she was not even asked once and all that emotional drama. Few of my relatives who attended the function also agreed with her. (All this is happening after the engagement)She didn't tell the reason for disapproval but most probably it would be looks or not very rich family. We couldn't attend it as we live far away so just saw the photos and in photos , the girl looks good with fair skin and average height that too in very simple clothes. So the question here is -Who is actually at fault? - Ofcourse my relatives as they didn't see the girl earlier and later complaining on the choice of the boy and his mother. And why do people expect very beautiful 'bahu' , when all she has to do are the household chores for her whole life. ( In this scenario)All these things have put my mother under pressure as she is in full support of the marriage as her point is that the boy liked the girl and that is the main aim of marriage. Now she is angry on 'her mother' as she started this by complaining about the girl. The thing which shocked me is - in arranged marriages , people expect the girl to be educated , beautiful and what not but all they let her do are kitchen work. They see marriages more as a social status and the more dowry the guys family gets , they get more respect from society. It's 21st century , where people are achieving great heights whereas others are worried about dowry and marriages. All this needs to change !!.Thank you....All suggestions are welcome.!..FOLLOW ME!!Edit : thanks for the 100+ upvotes. It means a lot to me and encourages me to write more.

Which one mobile app you can't live without?
Well, this is an interesting question. There is not one, but dozens of apps that I can't live without. Here are a few apps that may blow your mind. I'm not mentioning app store, since Apple is such a pain in the ass. I love android over iOS, so here we go.PS some of them require root.Let's begin with entertainmentFildo (not available on Google Play, Root not required)This is basically the alternative for mp3skull which was taken down few years ago. This app let's you download songs. 90% of them are 320 kbps. I've downloaded both English and Hindi songs.NOTE: Its only good for downloading, please do not use the music player, its awful.Mobdro (Not available on Google Play, Root not required )Okay if there are any TV series fans out there. This app is for you. This app let's you watch any channel on the earth and that too LIVE. (Its not any actually but most of the channels that air our favorite American shows are visible.)Tired of torrents being blocked? Unable to download your favorite shows? Watch them live here. From The CW to CBS and ABC to Nat Geo. And from News Channels to Sports channels too. Watch the Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones, Arrow, Flash, Agents of Shield, Suits, Westworld and thousands of other shows when you want to, because there's a record option too. Just set the time and you're good to go.Showbox ( Not available on Google Play, Root not required)Sick of torrents being blocked? And even if you bypass them, sick of typing so much? We'll here's an option for you guys. You can download movies and TV shows or even watch them online via this app. Various qualities from 360p to 1080p are available. It doesn't have Bollywood movies yet, but let's not stop hoping. For Bollywood movies try the app called Popcorn Time, not as good as Showbox, but better than nothing. There are other apps too, DM me if you wanna know them.Series Guide (Available on Google Play, Root not required)If there are people out there like me, who watch many shows and they can't keep track of what they watched and what is remaining, this app is for you. It is basically a calendar of TV shows. Keeps you posted.Note: Its backup option is awful, in case you reset your phone. There's an alternative TVshow Time. But I prefer Series Guide and it has a cool widget too.Let's stop the entertainment section now. How about daily driver apps.Ampere (available on Google Play, Root not required)This app basically helps you keep your phone battery healthy. It measures the current through which your phone is charging. Sometimes you see that phone takes too long to charge. So it's either your adapter or your cable, this app let's you find out, what's malfunctioning. Try a combo of various cables and adapters and the one which provides low output is the culprit. It keeps my phone and charger healthy by notifying. It has a cool widget too.PS download the pro version, that's ad free.Evernote (available on Google Play, Root not required)I'm sure everyone requires a note app as a daily driver. I recommend this one.Reason: It has immediate cloud storage. Its easy to use. And the main feature is it has chat and work share option. For those who are writers, you can write your drafts send them to your friends via work chat and they can edit it too. All in one app. Go for it.Inshorts (available on Google Play, Root not required)If you want to stay updated with the current news and affairs but you don't have enough time, this app is for you.As the name suggests, it has an algorithm that puts all news in front of you in short, that is in 60words precisely. If you wanna read it in details, swipe left, if you wanna read next, swipe up. Its the best user friendly news app.NTC Nike Training Centre (available on Google Play, Root not required)If you are a fitness freak and if you're not but want to be fit. This is the best app for you. From newbies to experts. From people who have no equipments to people who can gym everyday. This is the best app for being fit. Basically you enter your details and it'll make a workout plan specially for you.And you know what's the best thing? Its integrated to our music player, so you can listen to your favorite songs in your device from this very app itself.Var's VR Video player (available on Google Play, Root not required)If you love to watch 3d movies or VR 360 videos, this is the best app to do that. It can play all types of 3d and VR videos.Enough with the daily drivers, now let's go to photography and photo editing.OGInsta+ (not available on Google Play, Root not required)Tired of taking screenshots of the pics that you like on Instagram? Use this app to download them easily. It has a download option and zoomed images stay zoomed.Note: Do not use it for uploading picture, use the official Instagram app only. Because this app has poor sharing connectivity.500px (available on Google Play, Root not required)Remember the Official Wallpapers app by Google? Ever wondered where do they find such amazing pictures? Yes this is the place. This app is for photographers who are in love with amazing pictures. This is a platform for them to share them. Sadly you can't download pics, but the screenshot option is always there.Find amazing wallpapers for your phone here.Snapseed (available on Google Play, Root not required)I know y'all always want an app that would edit pictures the way you wish. With the demise of Google Picasa, Google brings to you another photo editor right in your phones.Snapseed is the best photo editor I've used. It has a variety of options and the user interface is very classic. And what's the best thing? It can edit RAW images too. Not every editor can do that. So guys with DSLR or phones capable of capturing RAWs, try Snapseed.Enough simple apps, I'll tell you some apps that turn your phone into a beast. With that being said, let's begin.Lucky Patcher (not available on Google Play, Root required)This app works without root also, but I suggest you to use it after root. What's so special?Well, you can modify and emulate apps. You can do free in app purchases in offline apps by enhancing them. You can also remove ads but I won't recommend that.Example: if you're playing Temple Run, you can buy coins for free. Don't waste a single penny.P S Do not use it on online server based games like War Robots, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale. You may get banned.Greenify (available on Google Play, Root required)Always frustrated about battery drain? Greenify will help you. What this app does is, it will monitor the apps that are using too much battery in background i.e. when not in use. You can select what apps you don't want to function in background and greenify makes sure that those apps don't start activity and drain your battery life. Hence you get more standby time.System app remover (available on Google Play, Root required)Always frustrated about the bloatware in your phone eating battery and RAM? Yes there's a way to remove those pre installed apps.System app remover will remove all bloatware in your phone. It has a recycle bin too.Note: Don't delete apps other than bloatware, if you do you may brick your phone or cause serious crashing. Don't say I never warned.Dolby Atmos and Arise Sound Mod (not available on Google Play, Root required, bootloader should be unlocked with a custom recovery installed)Ever heard of Dolby Atmos? Of course you have. And yes it is available on phone too. Make your phone a 3d surround device. Enjoy Dolby effect on your phone with enhanced audio output.Viper4arise is an equalizer that has many controls to play with. Also it gives you 5.1 surround sound on earphones. So you'll get a 5.1 system On The Go.Note: Dolby atmos has a lil echoing or stuttering effect, so don't panic. You always have the option to skip Dolby Atmos and go for Viper4arise mod. Do this only if you can correctly flash files with custom recovery. Don't say I dint warn :pOkay, I guess I've mentioned many apps. I hope you'll find at least one useful for yourself. There are many other apps and games that I haven't mentioned because I'm tired now lol.You can DM me to know about other cool apps and games and also for other stuff regarding android. I'll try my best to help.Don't follow me on Quora for more stuff. :pAnd don’t follow me on Instagram :p here Aakash Manuja Shashikant (@aksksky) • Instagram photos and videosCheers!

What is it like to find out your child has Down Syndrome, whether it is during pregnancy or after birth? If this happened to you
This question is old but I still want to answer it. My birth control failed and i got pregnant at 18. I got a positive test at 13 weeks and my ultrasound at 17. I had absolutely no idea I was that far. I assumed I was around 6–8 weeks. I got my ultrasound and I just felt it, something was wrong. The ultrasound report stated that everything was right. The test results stated everything was normal, but the feeling stayed.I gave birth and the baby had an apgar score of 8 at 1 minute and 9 at 5 minutes. No one suspected he had Down syndrome. It wasn't until the pediatrician came in and said he may have it, that there was a 50/50 chance but nothing other than his slanted eyes and low set ears gave the impression that he had it. They drew blood and it was sent off to the lab to get it confirmed. At 8 days I was told that he did in fact have Down syndrome. I kept it together while the pediatrician explained everything to me but completely lost it when I got to the car. My heart was broken. The doctor told me my young maternal age could have been a factor but only genetic testing could tell. I didn't smoke, drink, or go out. I ate healthy and was strictly a work and school kind of girl.Even then all I could think about it what I did to my baby and how irresponsible I was to get pregnant at such a young age. I cried. My first baby had Down syndrome and I mourned the loss of the baby I thought I would have. I cried because I worried about how he would make friends, I worried about his health, about how his family would accept him, all I did and do is worry. He’s 3 months now and I fall in love every time I look at him. His father looks at him like he put the stars in the sky. His and my parents adore the baby. He has great aunts and uncles. Nothing could change my love for him. Nothing could convince me that I was not meant to have this baby. Around what would have been 7 or 8 weeks I bled heavily for 2 weeks. I thought it was my period and thought nothing of it. The doctor that confirmed my pregnancy later told me that I should have miscarried but here he is. Coming in a 6 pounds 14 ounces, 21 inches on 10/23/16 was my biggest blessing. One day old:Thanksgiving 2016:3 months old:Update 07/26/17 at 9 months:
