Why am I struggling with these books? Are you following any trend to study or you’re studying for grabbing some knowledge?Major Questions!!!!Purpose… lemme explain you this. Like a person study for job, some for fulfilling their parents wish, some having a passion, or some just going with the flow. Don’t be a human being flowing with time i recommend.“Sit alone and think of a situation when you have no parents, no money, no friends, what you’ll do? Think” Horrible situation. And what is the reason of it? simple YOU and that so called Distractions. So make sure that you strictly not put yourself in these situations. You should have some PURPOSE to study. If you’re not having make it. Don’t mix purpose with Dreams.Like…Lamborgini leni hai isilie padhna hai. :D lolMaterialistic things are Dreams, when you achieve something with a purpose Dreams got fulfilled easily.Make yourself like this “parents are putting lot of money in my education its my duty to study hard and make them proud”. This kind of Emotional Drift will work. Nobody loves you more than your parents. If you work hard you’ll get success.“HUMAN BEINGS HAVE THE TENDENCY TO CONVERT DREAMS TO REALITY WITH A PURPOSE”2. SELECT YOUR STUDY PLACE & ARRANGEMENT-Sit in that kind of table chair arrangement and when you sit lock yourself. Promise yourself not to leave chair at any cost until you have completed your goals whatever you have made.(Distraction: Water, Mobile phone, Gaming, fooding, & a strong urge to go out to any roomie) Average guys have that kind of problems.In that case when you sit take a 2 ltr water bottle with you, Put your phone in Silent mode and keep it away with you(strictly), took fooding with you in a transparent container whatever you like but consume it only when you need. (some ppls continue to read instructions, ingredients etc mentioned in packet i.e why suggesting you a transparent box)3. MAKE SMALL GOALS AND BE STUB-BONED:Make small goals and promise yourself to complete it. Don’t directly run for making big goals. “War doesn’t conquered in one night” so make small plans complete them. And when you are able to do this it will make you confident. Slowly slowly make your goals bigger.(Distraction: Time management and knocking out from schedule)Don’t skip a single day from your schedule. Be loyal towards yourself. And like if you make a schedule of studying 2 hours in evening and somehow you’re unable to do that so in that case whenever you get time complete your cycle of 2 hours.4. SOCIAL MEDIA/ENTERTAINTMENT: Strictly limit your social area. Those who love you will love you ever. Feeling of friendship never dies. True friends are always there for you. I’m not telling you to cutoff but limit it. when you have an urge to talk to any friend call him/her. This method reduces your time and energy.(Distraction: Memes, notifications, messages, you-tubing, downloading Instagram etc)On a day at evening before studying and after going to bed 30 minutes spending on social media is sufficient. Friends can limit but career can’t. listen to songs before sleeping. Soulful ones may gives you nice sleep.5. RELATIONSHIP: Biggest factor of Distraction. Commenting upon such part is a waste of time. NOT ALL HEAD HAVE SIMILAR PAIN. So i must only suggest you to limit the time of talking with your Mate. Those couples who are living in same city meet once in a week. Try to convince your partner the purpose of limiting talks. A good understanding will help you alot.(Distractions: Urge to talk, Fights, Arguments, Possessiveness etc)For Guys make yourself comfortable Trust your girl and only focus on your goals. your future with her is only in your hands. The more you work hard the more you’re close to keeping the promise of being with her.For Girls Don’t overthink, understand that it is not ignorance. The love of a truly loving man never diminished. If he is a “One Women Man” then he’ll remains the same.6. SAY NO TO PORNOGRAPHY:Not to say enough but told you earlier Don’t go with the flow. It makes Mind Dirty. The very morning till night when brain is at rest you’ll only think about that sexual stuffs and ol. If you are a student strictly say No. If you’re a Bachelor you good you know yourself.(Distractions: Strong urge to watch porno, downloading)Strictly don’t switch on to any such websites. Again be loyal towards yourself. Its damn tough but pressurize yourself not to do this.7. EXERCISING IN MORNING: JOGGING & PUSH-UPS both the exercise makes you feel boosted all the day longer. The levels of Oxygen at morning is very high. The more oxygen you take the more you make you Heart and Brain stronger and healthier. Try to wake Early if possible. I know for students its not possible. But those who can do it please.Please do read newspaper at morning time, try solving Sudoku or some puzzle. It will help to improve your Reading and Concentration skills.Well this all is enough for you….. :)Its just BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. Let us set one ground rule first: You can not keep yourself getting distracted while doing what you should be doing no matter how much you try. So logical answer here should be, if you can not defeat something, then TAME it. Just like we humans did with Nature, we couldn't defeat nature, then we just tried to TAME it. Also keep in my, just like nature, it would come victorious once in while, so do not try to for 100% distraction free environment.So now question is how to TAME the distractions?There are plenty of useful things mentioned in the answers here.There is one which I follow rigorously to concentrate hard on important things : Delayed GratificationI came across this term while reading the book “The Road Less Travelled” and it made so much sense and explained so many things.Before I go on explaining this answer this question: What you would rather used to do?1.Watch TV then finish the homework2.OR Finish homework and then watch TVNone of the answers is right but one comes with immense gratification compared to other. Imagine as a kid, you are at home and you are given sometime to watch TV and also you need to finish the homework before going to sleep.Now let us examine scenario one by one:1.Lets say, you decided to watch TV first and then finish the homework.So you start watching TV and you are enjoying it but the thought of finishing your homework in interrupting you intermittently. You try to ignore it s you are enjoying the TV and soon to get rid of this homework pop up, you try to block it and make excuse to your mind that it not a big homework and you can finish it quickly. By doing this you keep downsizing the quantity of homework and also ignoring its complexity. After a while this allows you to make decision of watching TV for some more time as in your mind homework is simple and you can finish it quickly. After some time, either you or some family member pushes you to go for homework and when you start it you realize that you can not finish it in time and you keep kicking yourself for watching TV for long and also worrying about what will happen in school tomorrow.2. Lets say, you decided to finish Homework and then watch TVSo in this scenario, you decided to do your homework first. So you sit down and start homework and in between you keep thinking about what might be there broadcasted on TV. It hampers your concentration and you find it difficult to finish the work but as you know you can not watch TV without finishing it, you try to avoid the watching TV though and think that you would be able to watch as much TV as you want as soon as you finish the homework and you start working hard and concentrate to finish your homework. And when you finish the homework, you go and watch TV without a though on homework and enjoy it to fullest.Conclusion: If you go through both scenario, you would realize that in first scenario, even if you could finish the homework, you couldn't enjoy watching TV as thought of finishing the homework was interrupting you now and again. But in second scenario, you could somehow controlled your mind and thoughts to finish homework somehow, you could enjoy watching TV later.This is what we call delayed gratification. The ability to discipline yourself to delay gratification in short term, in order to enjoy the rewards in long term, definitely reaps the fruits of hard work. This is also a cyclic process, once you give your mind the delayed gratification, it understands the pattern and in the quest of larger gratification, it allows us to discipline our self for long-term fun.So find out a reward for you which you would give to yourself once you finish the study task you wanted to finish. Keep it small and simple initially then move towards longer and complex sessions.

Try to help each other and strengthen the bond. You can be passionate in you partner but make sure, you are not dominating them. Tell your partner that sex is not everything that you need and ask her for a relationship with you(just a psychological trick to convince your partner that you care about the relationship) Even if you wanted to break the relationship, just have a word with her about the problems in you, so that you can rectify them and be a better person in your upcoming relationship.
