hey guys so I'm doing another video I'm redoing this one because I had some information that wasn't supposed to be shown showing I didn't really think about it so anyways I'm here to talk to you guys about forms for when you are a full-time nanny now to me being a full-time nanny means working every single weekday from roughly 8 in the morning till 5:00 in the afternoon / evening I think a full-time nanny is just basically somebody who works 8 hour 8 plus hours a day so there's that this is the first time I've ever had to contract contract anybody or do like an agreement of some sort I know contracts are very popular however I am doing that but I am doing a requirement agreement which is the thing we are going to start out with and I need to cover the bottom so this is what it looks like ok so this is just kind of the stuff that I need um that are non-negotiable I guess it's you know it's not really it's a requirement it's not really negotiable there's a like half two things that I need in order to watch this kid so the first thing is a contract and I should basically explain how I did this so just showing you a little bit of it there we go so all of it is bullet pointed the ones that are bolt I felt like we're the most important ones and then it just says why this needs to happen so the first thing is a contract and I just said both nanny and parents need to read discuss and agree upon the contract that tests me has provided working at my house so my reasoning behind this is so when I have appointments my mom can watch the baby and we don't have to I'm getting a backup nanny for the short time I'm gone so obviously I have braces and I go every eight weeks to my orthodontist to get them tightened and those appointments are usually 15 minutes I really don't want to have to worry about finding somebody else to take the baby for those 15 minutes so yeah what I'm going to try to do is schedule my appointments early in the day before my mom goes to work because she's also like a part-time teacher or whatever so I'm just gonna do that and schedule it then but if they can't schedule it then I will end up having you know schedule it in the morning then I will end up having to bring the baby with me and I'll get into that in just a second the next thing is a backup nanny I saw this in another video and I don't know why I didn't think about it before but somebody said that you have to require a backup nanny because so often the nanny is responsible and there's a lot put on put on them you know you don't really want to like if you get called a and you don't want to be like mmm no I don't want to I can't if you get sick though you know you need to have somebody else who can take care of the child because often times like you can just wake up and not feel good and then it's sometimes too late for the parent to call out of work or whatever so back up a nice you need to be required I think and just what I said is the reasoning why I want a backup nanny I said for when I or someone in my house gets sick so because now I'm not the only one going to somebody's house the first time a baby is actually gonna be at my house if anybody else is sick I don't want the baby in the house just kind of like how I don't really want to be around a sick kid I don't really care if they are contagious or not don't want to be around your sick child same thing kind of goes with this you know so yes backup nanny just in case anybody get sick and then the parents will have to help in finding the nanny ultimately who that second person is gonna be it's their choice it's their child so yeah backup nanny the next thing is a car seat so with the kid being at my house and if I have to run errands or again drag him along to appointments and I obviously need the car seat and that's the reasoning why I need it what I said on this paper was when I need to go run errands during the week or need to bring the baby along for an appointment that my mom cannot watch him for parents will need to provide the car seat so obviously like with appointments they're not going to be able to schedule all the time in the morning or schedule all the time in the afternoon or whatever and my mom has like weekly errands tirana as well so if I end up scheduling you know an appointment during the time where she's gonna go get groceries or something then I can bring the kid with me that's fine but I need that car seat because obviously the other thing why I'm requiring a car seat is because I'm looking into getting a snap and go snap and go stroller so they don't have to worry about bringing a stroller along and what it is it's basically a frame of a stroller you put the car seat in I think it snaps I don't know and then I know you're you just buckle it it's very simple to use and it works as a stroller and so I just don't want to be trapped in my house for the time I'm working I want to be able to bring the kid along again if I absolutely need to four point meant if my friends want to go get lunch one day like I'm not gonna be like can't babysitting like I want to be able to do that and obviously the would come along with me so there is that the next two things are just kind of things I realized and the next thing I'm about to say is something I realized after talking to a couple people in town pay time off so apparently in like a normal job and it's not like I haven't had a normal job but I literally have not had a normal job since I was like 16 and I'm 21 now so I love being my own boss however in a normal job I guess you would have paid time off and you would have paid vacations and that's basically what that means the reason why I'm requiring paid time off is because you know after talking to a couple people they all do it they get paid vacations and sick days and then it just says parents acknowledge and are responsible for paying time off so you know the thing is - since we're doing weekly they are going to be required to pay in full for that week because I really can't go any lower than what I am charging them right now so there's that the next thing is trainings and background checks now I do not believe you have to pay for a background check but if so I that's on the parents that does personally I don't think that has anything really to do with you obviously you should not have to pay for your own background check that doesn't make sense but with trainings and again once again in like a normal job if you do trainings it's covered by the company you're working for you don't have to pay any of that when you are being basically self-employed and you do things online because there's a bunch of online classes you can take but they are there's a fee with them then the parents need to pay enough to cover that when I had to redo my first aid and CPR life's not license but certification what I did was I told the parents straight up like hey could you pay the I think was 20 40 bucks to do it online could you pay me that because again in the normal job if I had to do that that would be covered by the company so kind of the same thing if you do any extra trainings the parents should pay you to cover that training fee and whatnot and then on the bottom it just says by signing below parents and nanny have read and discuss the above information and then it basically just restates the information and then on the following page is where all of our signatures go and the date go so that's that form and then the next thing is the contract so I actually do not write this contract this is when I found online for a free download type thing and there are certain things in here that I will not be filling out with the family but it covers basically everything so the first thing you do is you know your names up here the next thing is the start date and then how long this will continue so I don't know I haven't met the family yet family yet I don't know if this is just like a short term type thing or if this is going to be a long term thing however starting in August I'll be starting school again because I'm gonna be starting with this family in the summer like literally during my finals week of college I should be starting with them and once fall rolls around school rolls around and I don't really know if I can work and do school because it that's why I stopped watching this one family I did today my like normal consistent people that I had I had to because of school because my grades weren't doing well so we'll see you know how that plays out but it says it will continue until blank so we will agree upon a date to meet again and discuss what the future is going to be like so it says continue until blink when contract expires a meeting will take place one contract is two weeks before expired expiring so we have will put a date in and then it'll be we'll wait until there's two weeks until this thing expires we'll talk and then we will basically renew the contract it also goes into where you're going to work if it's gonna be in your house if it's gonna be at somebody else's house that's totally up to you guys it's got the entire works schedule down here I really like it's got the job responsibilities it does make you list not make you it has a spot to list the number of kids and then what I think is really cool on the second page it talks about compensation so it's just that very very top part it goes into overtime as well which I think is really important so it's for more than 40 hours in a week however I honestly think I might charge them overtime even if they're just like a couple of minutes late because if they say they're gonna be done at work at 5:00 I'm gonna give them until 5:15 to get here if they go anywhere you know after that that's my time that kind of cuts into my time and especially if I have church meetings to go to I need to be able to eat and just relax and before attending those meetings and those meetings can happen anywhere between I feel like 5:30 and 7:00 so it's really important to me that this kid gets out of my house in a timely manner so I don't know why Justin Manor that Who am I so it does have you do the hour the rate and then it's per hour we're not doing that we're just doing a per week so we'll end up changing that it does the overtime you can charge whatever you want per hour and it just says for more than 40 hours in a week and then it has a total compensation at the end and then it says when they have to pay so weekly every Friday or bi-weekly every other Friday or 26 times per year so I'm gonna request weekly I know - I guess in a normal job it would be every other week but I'm gonna do weekly just because and then it says method of payment and then it kind of goes into the more legal stuff there's Fair Labor Standards Act notes there's mileage mileage yeah mileage in general expenses it does talk about taxes and stuff which I don't know how to do that kind of legally with a nanny we don't have like a nanny agency up here so I really don't know how taxes work when it comes to that but we're not gonna really worry about it it does go into health insurance public transportation parking college tuition mobile phone service that kind of stuff so I really like that because it really does break it down it makes you think you know if they don't show up on time and the thing is like they told me the schedule would be like 8:00 until 5:00 every weekday on this sheet what I would do instead of putting in the end zone five o'clock I would put 5:15 so they can have that time to travel and get here so in the next page it says you know pay time off it goes into sick leave and fake Asian time and then it says how what kind of how many weeks you have in advance to kind of tell them I'm gonna take a vacation and then it says families are not required by federal law to pay to provide paid time off however there are several cities counties States that mandate paid sick leave and or vacation and then it gives a number to call it talks about holidays so the first half of it is holidays that they will pay so paid holidays and then it does unpaid holidays and then there's a note they're not required to by law to provide paid holidays it talks about tax withholding reporting confidentiality I really like that it has a social media policy as well I okay I do posts I used to post pictures of the kids I babysat sat on a public page which is different than my personal Facebook but it was always with parent's permission and then I kind of you know I always kept in mind parents permission parents permission I still get nervous when I see videos or pictures of kids online by a babysitter because it's just so easy to track where the photo came from where the kid lives when they go to school like blah blah blah so I really like how they have this in here and then it has grounds for termination which basically just says allowing the safety of the dependent to be compromised and consistent with the job performance dishonesty sealing misuse of family automobile breach of confidentiality clause tardiness basically not showing up unapproved guests smoking or alcohol usage or illegal drugs so it goes into that and then the last page is basically just where everybody sign us and that's the whole contract so I would really look up you guys if you are in a state that has a nanny agency what the kind of legal stuff is with taxes because this is a really easy job to get in the not pay taxes so I would just kind of double check on that stuff and yeah that's basically the
