welcome back to inside the box i'm going to show you how to download your ebay financial statements in this video before we jump into it though quick disclaimer i do not work for ebay so they're allowed to change their website whenever they want to but at the time of making this video in february 2022 this is how i access my ebay financial statements also i'd like to note here that i do not have an ebay store currently and i am not part of ebay seller hub i've chosen to opt out of that um so if my screen looks different from yours at any point in this video those are some factors that might be coming into play here but we're gonna go ahead and get started so here we are on ebay's homepage i'm going to go to the top left corner and hit this drop down arrow by my name i'm going to black out any of my personal information on the screen as we go along here but i'm going to click the arrow and then go down to account settings that takes me to this page and i'm going to click on the payments option in the center of the page here that will send me to a page that looks like this underneath this big blue banner here i see three options to click on there are transactions reports and payout schedules so i'm going to click on reports and this is where i can find my financial statements you'll see this bar here this bar menu i'm going to click this arrow and you can choose your financial statements your invoices or your 1090k forms you download them all the same so for the purpose of this video i'm just going to show you an example of the statements i'm going to go ahead and download my january 2022 statement you'll see that this was generated in february so the these statements are not generated till the end of the month so that they include the entire month's worth of data if i click on this download button i get two options here i can download a summary pdf or a full statement pdf i'm going to download one of each to show you the difference here so i'm going to click on summary and then full statement so these popped up at the bottom of my screen i'm going to double click on them here is the summary one you'll note that this is just one page and it just goes over you know how much i paid in shipping um a total for that month i paid 50 to 52 in shipping and then my total minus fees so this is just really generic it doesn't tell me what the items were and it doesn't spell it out per item it just says these are your totals for the whole month so that is the summary now if i open up the full financial statement double click on that you'll notice that this is seven pages long and depending on how much you sell in a month yours could be shorter than that or much longer but the first page is just that summary page and then i come down and i can see the transaction details i see the name of the item that i sold here and how much it sold for what ebay fees were taken out and then if i scroll all the way down past these transactions i will see a shipping labels page and here i can match the shipping label numbers with the item number so that i can see oh i go back up here and i find that item number and i know that i paid three dollars and nineteen cents for that specific item when i shipped it um and then i should see that total of the 5252 for shipping labels at the bottom of this page so the full statement breaks it down per item for you where the summary just gives you this total number so again you don't get these statements till the end of the month so it's february currently and if i needed to know this information for the month of february i would need to go back to uh the payments page i'm just going to click the back arrow here to show you guys back to this page and instead of clicking on reports i'm going to click on transactions so you'll see that this looks very similar to the full financial statement you'll have the item that sold uh you know how much is sold for what the ebay fees were for that item and then somewhere around it you'll have what they paid for shipping what you paid for shipping for the item uh if you use your pending payouts to pay for that shipping these are all the transactions you've done through ebay managed payments so if you're using paypal to pay for shipping you're not going to see the shipping information in this transactions page but i i paid four dollars and 45 cents for this particular item but it's important to note that the item number uh just match it up this is a shipping label for this number which matches with uh with the number next to this book here that i sold um because you'll notice there's another shipping option next to it but it's a different number so sometimes that confuses me when i'm looking at this and not taking note of that numbers and i think oh did i pay 382 for this book when i shipped it or did i pay the 445. so just pay attention to that number next to the the shipping label information and your order number so you can match what you paid for shipping for the correct item if that's is important to you if you need to know that information so that is how you download your financial statements and then also how you can see different transactions that are still waiting to be put on a financial statement because it's the middle of the month if this video was at all helpful to you please hit that like button that
