hey guys i'm super excited to be here thank you so much for joining me today um i am a super duper fan of dubsado and i am a publicist i consider myself a public relations practitioner um and today i am going to be showing you guys how i merged the two together and how the saddle has been a lifesaver in my client intake and in my process overall um so a little about me my name is brittany mobley i am based out of uh michigan the metro area detroit is our largest city in the state so typically a lot of my clients start from there and then they go a little bit beyond i do have some clients who are out of state um so i enjoy doing what i do because it allows me to work in many different arenas and different places without being there and it's super rewarding i mean i've been on my own since 2016 2015 and i kind of got the ball rolling in 2016 and ever since then it's just been a joy um i've been an entrepreneur for it's been five years this was my fifth year and i've really enjoyed you know working in this field and meeting as many people as i met and networking and building connections and relationships um i started off as a with a credit consulting expert and um i did work by myself but i would you know contract people to help me or network and meet people that would kind of assist me and i was able to clear her media landscape in her area locally so from then i started to take on other projects based on the rapport i built with her in the community and ever since then i was able to walk on red carpets and kind of do some features there and assist some other publicists along the way um so how i use dubsado as a public relations practitioner so i'm going to start off by walking you guys through my journey um typically what happens is i will start by leading my clients to my website so let's get started there so here you'll see um this is where my clients typically start off going to my website they'll see all of the past features i've had here's just a few my live instagram feed and typically my clients would start off by you know checking out my site and then they would go to book a consultation so when they click book the consultation the good part about it is that it opens up my one-on-one pr consultation or design consultation and it's right through dubsado and i typically love that they get to pick a time submit um they put in their information and it allows them to pay their invoice online which i love about you know that there were other platforms but they didn't have that amazing feature to book the consultation i would have to physically send them an invoice and the good thing about this is that it shows them what they're paying for and the amount and it gives them my contact info so that has been an amazing um resource through dubsado for my brand um so going in here typically this is where i will open up and i would search for the client or i would go to my most recent projects this is the sample account that dubsado provided however um we are probably gonna go into my actual account uh quick disclaimer i mean these are personal accounts but um typically invoices will show here um and it'll kind of hone everything that goes on with the client and myself to kind of execute on their brand including invoices and the packages that i create the packages are always super detailed and it gives them the amount so that they know what they're paying for which is an amazing resource you know not only for my client but for myself because um with working with multiple clients i get to go back and check it out so here's my regular account um i have not worked the first three weeks of this month because i'm in the process of buying a home so um i have been processing my invoices directly through strike um which ultimately makes its way over here i just have to input them um these are all of my past clients um we're going to open up the first one which is one of my services where i also offer design so with this claim we are going to open up let's see let's do joy lollard let's see we're going to open up joys these are a lot of different invoices that probably need to be cleaned up but let's go to joy's branding package so um joy's branding package we can see her appointments when we had some they were there um and we can show like her forms so all of my clients automatically gets a form because dubsado is amazing once the client pays their invoice it submits that form and when you open up these forms it collects everything that my client needs to provide me with to kind of get them started on either their web design or their public relations project and with this i also use this to create press releases with their about information and it kind of kind of helps me theme out their whole project with their theme colors in their logos and kind of pitching them to the media i'll create like some themed graphics and um some items that will help so this is my actual pr client this is alicia um she's amazing so with her um project uh we would consistently send her weekly retainer um and dubsado has automatically sent her reminders for this feature which i absolutely love um and it also um keeps track of those emails which i really like um and she gets her invoices through here um it lets her know exactly what she's gonna be paying for so as you can see you can see the pr consulting the strategic campaigns press release writing and immediate pitching um and she's going to be paying that amount weekly for her retainer so this is how my clients typically get their invoices and depending on the client i do send them weekly reminders um to do like the auto pay schedule um which you can see down here her invoice has been paid and then it allows us to implement that contract now this is one of my favorites um opening up these contracts to um preview it it gives me every little detail i need so her name her phone number her email the date and it allows her to initial to make sure that this information is accurate and correct which i absolutely love um so if any legalities come about we can take care of them by simply contacting her it comes up with the terms and conditions for payment how often you're going to pay and i love to put this at the top because it kind of lets the client know what they're responsible for going into this project um i love that dubsado gives it the feature of placing the client's name and brand name on each target item which is super important because it keeps things very specific and and running smoothly and it breaks down you know the goals of the project and it puts my business's name there which kind of solidifies who's responsible for what and uh it just breaks it down into each individual thing which is um a very consistent thing with all my contracts and then it goes into you know services included with the contract which of course is very very beneficial for each client and it comes with every pr package i love that her signature goes there and once she signs it it allows me to sign it right there so um this for me is amazing and then i get to copy the link or send it or print it or whatever so thanks dubsado you've been a lifesaver um here you can tag the project so when i send my clients their workflows after paying their invoices so here the pr workflow it automatically tags these as you know public relations which i love and then you know it lets us know like what's gonna be done after the invoice is paid in full so it activates their portal it sends the form that they need and um it lets them know you know where we are and then it sends the contract so that for me as a pr professional takes a lot of busy work off my hands unless the contract needs to be customized but they're pretty much standard and the invoices are the ones that get more specific the forms the forms are great here they're broken down exactly to where i need them um they're organized to how you know they need to be and i don't have to go like searching everywhere and doing all this extra work so when clients go to my website they can do the culture method which is my one-on-one coaching session for pr and design so when you click that it opens up my third-party app which is like a teachable or whatever and basically it just shows the client you know where to get started what they're getting and if they click it once they click that link to go and process payment i love the fact that it opens up my custom dubsado calendar specifically for that coaching so if you go here you can see the culture method pops right up so it does the availability and i am normally available on thursdays and some tuesdays mostly thursdays though so let's go ahead and take out this tuesday i will do it if i have free time but let's go ahead and take that out and we're going to do that for all tuesdays instead of just this tuesday and now my clients can basically see you know my ability availability coming up you know for the coming week i love that it adds a custom conferencing link specifically for the client um definitely a major key of this and it also sends them the email i'm going to click save to make sure those changes are saved and that kind of makes it official so as a pr practitioner when i'm getting these appointments having them schedule their own has been a lifesaver um another thing i love about this is my reporting and my invoices don't mind my invoices they're kind of crazy but i don't know i work a little bit well when i can see things so for inquiries where clients didn't book of course you know that's a lead capture i try to go in and you know click email and i like to shoot the client email just to follow up and find out you know hey is there something i can do so that i could possibly turn this client from an anchor or this potential client from an inquiry into an actual client so for instance i would click some something like maybe like a booking email or a consultation follow-up um i'm not seeing them here maybe i'm doing it a different way i'll probably just hand type them probably like i'm going to do right now so i'm going to start off like hi britney um i saw that you happened or stopped by to my website to potentially book a consultation is there something i can assist with how soon are you looking to get started or what's your budget so we're gonna take that out we don't really need that and this is how you know i respond to most of my leads if uh they didn't book a consultation so i'm always trying to turn them into actual clients so um i typically do that for most of my inquiries um and i love that you know just how it's so organized and how dubsado has the ability to help busy publicists like me stay on top of things and seeing you know what type of forms and tasks and i'll always put a note in here if i reach out to the client so i will start here and let's see so i would typically put the date and i'll put exactly what happened with this client and you know if i followed up with them after the inquiry and then i only do two follow-ups so on the second follow-up you know i really wouldn't um continue any further after that i'll typically archive those clients if i needed to um just to keep my space organized i know people need more time most of the time because i'm one of the lenient agencies which i probably need to work on but i understand you know my clients they're super relatable so i kind of want to work with those people so excuse me i like to separate all my eyes by my actual clients which means you've paid an invoice with me at some point so there's my pr clients who's on a weekly retainer then i have my web design clients who paid through dubsado and probably i use my third party maybe like a stripe or something these are my graphic design clients smaller like logo touch-ups and quick edits and these are all of my projects that are on hold which means i need to go back and maybe follow up and make sure they get everything they're neat they need um i need to communicate with them in some shape or fashion but they there are notes inside of there um if they did need anything and if i needed to put a reminder in there to make any edits so that's what all of these are for and i'll go back and i'll check those once my projects a dial under it's about three so there's three here um and then these are actual inquiries where you know people have reached out um but they didn't pay like the consultation fee so all these people here um didn't pay the consultation fee or didn't pay like their invoices after they get sent one so they'll just stay in inquiry and once they pay like their invoices or book the actual consultation they'll move into you know just like a public relations client or a web design client now my graphic design inquiries i'm only down to one but that one's fulfilled so that's my responsibility i need to move it into the other ones um where their actual client and this is one of the best things of dubsado i can create physical applications for potential interns so it collects all their information and i can get everything i need so um you know i get their contact information and their skills and everything and it keeps it in there for me and by keeping it there it puts it in my address book in case i need to follow up and i love how it stores all of my contacts so um this for me i do try to go through and get rid of some every here and there especially duplicates but i love the fact that dubsado was able to bring my contacts from one platform into into this one so this is like my home for everything workflows are bomb they have everything so once a client pays an invoice there's an automated process
