You can write email and she will read it and might call you after some hours or might reply to your email. So I think email is the best way if you have to counter or else suppose you write an email and the H.R. reads it. If you are declining her offer , she will read it first If she think that you want to counter her or compensation issue , she will call you back or else she will reply you that ok no problem So when you are writing an email, its very clear so when you get to know you don't want to join , you have to write the email And you have to appreciate a bit that thank you so much so write like "Thank you so much for offering me this role" and you can mention that you company is really good and appreciate them and appreciate everything the time and efforts the H.R. gave and you have to give a proper reason that can be family issue , location issue or designation issue where you are getting better somewhere else with good compensation It's not about the compensation all the time, designation also matters. Money you are getting is a plus point but if there's no enjoyment in the work , then what's the use of money. And you don't have to write stories in the email we don't have to make any Bollywood movie ITs should be short and professional. Now what you can write is , as you can see on your screen like Thank you for offering me this position -its a great opportunity After careful consideration , I have decided to accept another role from another company , and then second and third like this. I have another format , you have to change a bit ing to your position but these are some screenshots that you are seeing on your screen. You can nicely use them. Although if you need a proper format to write to decline a company , so I also asked ChatGPT that how to reject an offer gracefully . ChatGPT gave a nice answer that you have to thank your employer if you aren't joining and be honest and direct offer to stay in touch and and on the position , and end the email in a positive note . This was really a great format by ChatGPT. So you can write it in this format too , there is no negative in it. It's very simple. ChatGPT has made our work very easy. At least , you don't have to think about these things. You can gracefully decline any company. But if you want to increase the salary , one happens is to decline the company , declining is fine you declined it through email but to increase money what you can do is best way in my opinion is to call but on call the H.R. might flare up on you . And I have also been through this situation. So you write an email in which it should be very clear that you are very keen for that role so if the H.R. gets some vibes from there and if he has a good budget then he can increase your salary. So try this on call , it wont be that good through emails. But do initiate the email I always suggest that if you're rejecting or to increase the compensation , first step should be through emails. First mention it nicely within three to four lines if you cannot build the sentences, take help from ChatGPT, it will help you out. Then you ca change it a bit and write it up. Then you can nicely talk on call so, this is very important. Now there is another point that you can keep in mind is before sending your email because everything here is about the way you speak. Your speaking skills will matter a lot about your increase in salary. Let's take a real life example , my current offer was of 8 lakhs. Company gave me an offer of 10. I got next offer of 12 , then 14. So as my next offer is of 14, now I have to reject the offers of 12 and 10. But imagine the company which is offering 10 is a very good company, so these only will be the steps to counter it. I just gave an example , you might have a different case. So you can relate to all these steps Use your mind there to talk to the H.R. but I will tell you what you have to take care in email. First thing is very important , don't directly say "I don't want to join your company" then why did you wasted the time of the H.R. and gave the interview , just to take the offer? you don't have to do that if you don't want to get blacklisted. And don't write anything negative about the company and nothing bad about it. And third is very important , you don't have to mention package in the mail. About package , like you want 30 or 35 lakhs this doesn't makes sense . you shouldn't demand for a higher package in the mail or write anything bad about the company or to disrespect and don't write you don't want to join the company These are negative points which will just destroy your image if call had to come , still wont come Its all about your communication skills you have to be careful whenever you write the email. And I already gave you the example of ChatGPT from where you will get a lot of help. Do now if you have multiple offers or if you haven't got your first offer btw I have already made a video for the one who haven't got their first offer and how you can take your first offer. How many part is there about the negotiation and the salary negotiation, counter offer or how to take the first offer I have already given the links of the description and if again I make a video on them and contents will be repeated so we will not talk about them , I have given the links So these things you will have to keep in mind and when you sent the email , you have to keep calm. I have seen this many a time when I talk with people on topmate that people loose their patience that still haven't got a reply email yes if one or more than a month have passed , then it means the position has been closed and they got another resource and this is self understandable. Whenever there is a hiring for any position , it has a budget experience wise , for fresher there is a specific budget and after two years there is some other budget , for four years its something in five years something . Companies have a band that in this band , they cant give this person more than this. For example, your package was low and the company from which you got the offer for example , your package was 8 lakhs , they gave you 12. but for that position that company has a budget till 16. So if you counter , they will ask for your joining conformation then they will talk about it. Then she will go for an approval. For package , the HR has a budget but but for that an approval is needed from the ones at leadership position. If you get the approvable , because they know the next budget for this profile is this then you might get that offer. So, these are golden opportunities . When you have multiple offers, then you you are negotiating and rejecting them as I said. So where you have to join sometimes you are getting more package from one place you don't want to join and from where you are getting less , you join there. So , you can talk there like this. and from there you will get some green sign that yes it is possible or it is not. Some red signs will also be there. So you have to understand yourself that there it wont go more than this. See I wont bring work life here because it depends on the project. But if company is good , old and existing since long and if currently there is no layoff going there. So these things you should know. you shouldn't give a vague figure. So companies have a defined budget for any profile. For some profile, the budget is of 30 , for some its 25 So if you are going into a product-based . For service-based and product-based , hiring process is executed in a similar way but yes budgets differ. And for some working in service-based , their package is less . Its higher in product-based with good variable perks. So you are analyzing at that time for example you are in a situation that you have multiple offers you aren't getting good vibes in some places yes you are getting offers but you can use that offer. You can do counter offer. Let's say you had an offer of 10 , now you got of 13 Then you are getting from another company so tell them that you are already holding an offer which is 13. So if they ask how much you are expecting , you can say you are looking for 15 to 16. You always have to tell in ranges than telling the exact figure. Like you want 17 , nope. you can say 17 to 18 so that you get a del as 17.5 or 17.2. This is basically like if in case you watch shark tank its about how you pitch because you aren't going to the company for 2 days. If you go , you will work for 6 month , one or one and the half years. You work for a longer period if everything is good there till the company is offering you benefits. And as I always say , company is no-one's you are working for the company and you will get the salary as your work. The company will tell you bye-bye the day when it doesn't needs you anymore. This is true and I say this quiet a lot of times when I go in different colleges to do seminars. You don't have to be a slave , you have to honestly work on your skills. And you can demand on the basis of your skills. Challenges will always be there if its development role or any profile so you have to be very clear but you should have patience to understand the things and there will be some people to help you in the team I am also working in ADIDAS right now , I talk to them and they are good if I face difficulties somewhere , they will help me out. so that positive environment is needed if I want my growth in that company and if you talk with nice people , everything will be executed nicely. Its not like I know everything. Its not like this , no-one knows everything.
