it's important to remember that for our county and for our communities to reduce suicide it will take a comprehensive and teamwork approach and that no one entity can do it alone this year's report focuses on screening assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing thoughts of suicide for everyone out there who may be struggling uh who's going through something difficult i want you know the community cares for you that there is no judgment for what you're going through there are services and people that are there to help you through the difficult path that you may be on and a big part of what we've been trying to do the last few years by investing in mental health care is to tackle and break down these stigmas i've lost uh close friends to suicide i'm thinking a lot about those people today and and this week i think it's fair to say that in every suicide for those nearby it feels like a bolt of lightning on a clear day but we can make a difference
