hi adventurers i'm pearl i'm miriam and today we are going to explore town and learn all about best storm water management practices let's go so here at the university of arizona we have amazing rain gardens so if you follow me i'll come and show you around now if you look closely there's all these bumps and dips well when it rains all the water is going to flow through these dips and then percolate into the ground and this is going to make all this garden green instead of flowing into the streets but aren't drained from the streets supposed to collect the water well if all the rain went into the streets it's going to collect all the pollutants on the ground and just go straight into our water supply but if it goes here instead it's going to get filtered and water all these plants so now if you follow me we're going to go look at another awesome place with a garden to manage stormwater look at all these cool plants yeah and guess what they're all native to arizona using native plants i
