COMPLAINT IN THE NATURE OF A PETITION FOR RATIFICATION, APPROVAL AND CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING AND ENLARGING THE BOUNDARIES OF , MISSISSIPPI COMES NOW, , Mississippi, a municipality organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of Mississippi, situated in County, Mississippi, and files this, its Complaint in the Nature of a Petition for the ratification, approval and confirmati on of an Ordinance extending and enlarging the boundaries of the said , Mississippi and, in support thereof would respectfully show unto the Court the following facts, to-wit: 1. That a regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of , Mississippi held , the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of , Mississippi duly and legally adopted an Ordinance extending and enlarging the corporate limits and boundaries of the said Town, a certified copy of said Ordinance being hereto attached and marked Exhibit " ", and the same is incorporated herein and made a part of this petition the same as if copied herein in words and figures and that publication will be accomplished as provided by Section 21-1-31, Mississippi Code of 1972. 2. That in and by Ordinance, the territory situated in County, Mississippi, and specifical ly designated in Section One of said Ordinance (Exhibit " "), is proposed to be in and is included in the corporate limits and boundaries of the said , Mississippi. 3. That said Ordinance (Exhibit " ") in Section Two thereof defines the corporate limits and boundaries of , Mississippi as extended and enlarged and fixed by said Ordinance. 4. That said Ordinance (Exhibit " ") further describes, in general terms, the proposed improvement to be made in the annexed territory, the manner and extent of such improvem ents and the approximate time within which said improvements are to be made and that said Ordinance also contains a statement of the municipal or public services which the said Town proposes to render in such annexed territory. 5. There is hereto attached and made a part of this petition as Exhibit " " a map and plat of the municipal boundaries of , Mississippi as they exist in the event said Ordinance is rati fied, approved and confirmed by this Court and becomes effective. 6. Petitioner would show unto the Court that the City of , City of , City of , Mississi ppi and the City of , Mississippi incorporated under the laws of the State of Mississippi, are located within ( ) miles of a portion of territory proposed to be annexed by the Ordinance hereto. 7. Petitioner would show unto the Court that such extension, enlargement and modification of t he limits and boundaries of the said , Mississippi are reasonable and are required by the public convenience and necessity and that said Ordinance should be ratified, approved and confirmed by the decree of this Court. WHEREFORE, PREMISES CONSIDERED, Petitioner prays that this Petition be received and filed; that the Court fix a date certain for the hearing on this Petition; and that as provided by law, notice of said hearing be given to all parties interested in, affected by, or having objection to the proposed inclusions of said territory within the corporate limits of , Mississippi, and the modification of the boundaries of said town as set forth in said Ordinance hereto attache d as Exhibit " ".
