The study found that women working full time, year-round earned 86 cents for every dollar earned by men, and that in fields that pay high wages, like tech and engineering, women had to work more to achieve similar pay. While women in some industries do as well as or better than their male counterparts in the same position, the situation is much more lopsided in other positions, like working in retail or food.
