The purpose of this divorce packet is to give you the information required for legal divorce on these forms. Please read only the information on this packet. There are 2 other divorce packages available: Alabama divorce package and adult child divorce package. 1. Information about divorce   (this packet can be used with the adult child packet as well as by themselves if neither you nor your adult child wish to use the adult child package.)   2. For legal divorce on all forms the parties must first complete an information package on their respective rights and responsibilities with respect to divorce. You must fill out an addendum to this packet listing all legal requirements of that divorce. Your spouse must then complete and sign the addendum. If the parties are able to find a notary public to sign a copy of the addendum and the affidavit, they should sign the addendum alongside the addendum and affidavit. 3. If the divorce is already completed, you may file a form to transfer the right to consent to this divorce to your spouse within one year from the date of the divorce decree of separation or divorce order or by using the same form at the same time that your spouse is filing with the court for divorce.
