and that subscribe button in today's video we are going to discuss how you can uh take advantage of some of these grants that i have that i found online you guys so excited if you would like for me to look up a particular grant or a particular area that i don't cover in this video so watch the video to the end um please put the type of business and where you're located at okay and i would do my best to try to search for grants in that area okay so this first grant i would like to present to you is called the mgc grant this is based out of massachusetts the grant is up to 75 000 okay this is a new sector specific relief grant program for small businesses in massachusetts this grant is through the mgcc is for small business that did not apply for funds in november the deadline for this is january the 15th which is on a friday 11 59 p.m the link is in the description section i also have a spreadsheet of grants and loans that are available throughout the united states so please access that spreadsheet and you could get the things that i've already found okay and some of those applications are still available okay or the funding is still open this next grant is called the black ambition prize is prizes and in-kind support for u.s eligible entrepreneurs to support business ventures okay the application deadline is february the 18th 2021 prizes of in-kind um support business ventures funding is intended for business in one of the following categories consumer products and services design healthcare and technology at least one of the following members founding members must identify as black african african american or hispanic hispanic latino latina latin next in addition to cash prizes applicants may also receive investments mentoring and access to speech coach and graphic designing designer okay so it looks like they get a couple of things going on okay uh so ventures must be focusing on the following categories consumer products and services that's good or services sold to consumers for their use own use or enjoyment and not as mean for further economic production or activities so in end user okay that's basically what that means design design business that includes but are not unlimited to venture specializing in wearable apparel fashion physical product design transportation material and architectural and digital digital vr or audio items that deliver creative solutions for particular needs okay healthcare healthcare business that provide medical services manufacture medical equipment provide medical insurance or otherwise facilitate the provisions of health care to patients okay and also tech businesses revolving around manufacturing of electronics creation of software computers or products and services relating to information technology number of grants multiple semi-following final lists will be selected one grand prize winner is selected is 1.4 or 1.5 million dollars so the grand prize you could win a million dollars second prize is 250 or the first prize 250. second prize is a hundred thousand third prize 50 and the fourth prize is 15 000 and they have several or six a total of six amount for that fifteen thousand okay so like i said application or the deadline for this application is february february the 18th of this year next grant the next grant is food production investment program okay and this is for food processors processor to adopt energy efficiency upgrades in california if california is doing it they're like the leader i used to work in environment i'm a chemical engineer by trade um so my one of my jobs i project management so i manage capital projects but within that job i also calculated emissions and when they came out with new regulatory requirements is because california already approved it in a region okay so they normally there if if some type of environmental thing is going on or law is going on california is like the leader of that type of thing so anyway i said that to say they're all about green and all that good stuff so this is for uh food processors in california for projects to increase energy efficiency priority will be given to projects that benefit low income and disadvantages communities the purpose of this grant program is to reduce energy costs and emissions by incorporating or upgrading to new technologies okay so if you're in food processing um this is the grant and you're located in california this is the grant for you also if you're not located in california i guess is probably losing a lot of people because of their strict requirements of cobit and some other stuff um they're incentivizing people to move their businesses to california so that's something to look into i don't know what the incentive there's like some tax incentives okay um so modernization support adoptions of commercially available energy efficiency equipment upgrades that are drop in ready replacements for additions to existing equipment or processes that provide greater ghg that's greenhouse gas emissions reductions then current best press practices industry standard equipment so greenhouse gases gases that's what they're trying to reduce okay greenhouse gases if you don't know it depletes the ozone that's why we have global warming if you're not if you don't believe in global warming exists you haven't followed the science okay because it does exist so this is a good thing the total estimated funding is seven million dollars the estimated size of the grant is a hundred to six million dollars okay this type of thing you probably need a grant writer i like this next one this next one i get questions about um real estate the way that the economy is going it's a lot of opportunities out here okay and this one is based out of georgia is for non-profit agencies and housing authorities to rehabilitate build or renovate single family residents so if you flipping them houses in georgia uh this is something you could uh take advantage of okay the application deadline is january 29th at 4 pm new construction or reconstruction a small affordable housing unit for sale to low and moderate income home buyers housing rehabilitation of owner occupied homes so you can actually be in your home need to renovate it that's one way you could qualify or if you are a real estate developer or if you're a non-profit organization and you develop homes or renovate homes this is the grant for you okay um low income it has to be loaded in moderate income area okay family size unit it this has to be one to four units okay so it's called the chip program and the estimated program funding size is six million dollars estimated size of the grant is four hundred thousand four hundred thousand new construction is up to six hundred thousand okay so they got some other requirements but um this link is in a link in the description section so view those uh requirements to see if you qualify another space.georgia it's called community home investment program chip okay this last grant is for not for businesses but if you're just struggling financially okay this is for the entire united states it's called the self-sufficiency grant grants to us and in canada low-income individuals and families for financial assistance it's an ongoing grant there's some eligibility requirements it's based off of your income but it varies between the sizes between 750 to 1250 dollars that you could uh get from this grant you have to be 18 you have to be a resident of u.s or canada you intend to apply for assistance either for yourself or a person living in your home your household has at least one bank account and or or has filed the taxes in the past two years you have regular access to the computer or the internet and could check your email the modest needs website daily to for the entire time that your application is active you have ability to access a scanner or fax machine to upload your documents if you rent your home your household has legal lease of the landlord the lease must show the monthly costs of your rental whether or not you pay all the amounts yourself your household pass the modest needs income tax there are some employment guidelines and there's some stipulations modest needs cannot ever help persons to afford expenses that fall in one or more of the following categories expenses that modest needs is not permitted to pay as matter of law um i guess fines or something like that expenses that modest needs cannot pay on behalf of application without sending cash or gift card directly to the advocate i don't know what that means expenses really related to credit card debt bankruptcy or luxury items so i'm assuming they want you to pay for living expenses once your request for funding and a grant check is issued you will then have to wait a full 12 months before you call ask for a new request okay so this is for everybody you get up to 750 to 250 all right you guys
