clothes so if this is clothes or you can have it for larger items not necessarily mattresses but you know the base of a bed the wardrobe evenings like bikes you know there's all sorts of things that can be passed on to charities and there is um charity for example the heart foundation they will even come to your home and collect items from your home for you so you don't have to literally lift it from your home and take it to the charity they will come and collect it for you and obviously sell those items so three piles so one pile to take to your new location another pile to throw away and the third pile to give to a charity so decluttering like i said is really important because then when you move to a new property you're literally starting all over again it's a fresh new space for you don't take all the old nonsense with you just start again move with items that will be useful for you and your family five things moving day so on the day you're moving everyone's very excited maybe you have the children with you maybe you know you're going to have them moving all items with them they've got their little bag so pack them in a little bag make sure they feel important give them a little suitcase let them feel that they're getting involved in the big move i think it's important to let them at least say goodbye to the old house let them know depending on the age the younger the children are the more they need to you know let them know that they're moving to a new location and make them feel part of the move along with the adults give them a little bag make them feel comfortable and know that this is a bag they have to take care of and that they're in charge of make sure you've packed a small bag for yourselves the adults so pack some food from the kitchen pack of small items for the bathroom so toothbrushes towels soaps shampoo that kind of thing pack stuff for the bedroom so you've got duvets you've got bed sheets you've got curtains and then some things for the front room so in the front room or dining room area just have some plates and i have some forks dining table chairs that kind of thing just so that when you go in to the new property you may not necessarily be ready to unpack everything straight away but at least you have some items there ready for you to go to use for that same day and that you can feel comfortable when you go into your new property because you're gonna be surrounded by loads of boxes and you won't necessarily have time depending on what time you move because some people move either first thing in the morning afternoon or last thing at night and you know depending on when you move you may not necessarily have a lot of time to unpack everything and feel comfortable in your home right then and there if you have certain items ready like certain bags ready but for you to unpack when you get there then it makes moving in a lot more comfortable for the adults and a lot more comfortable for the children also when you arrive you're gonna have a lot of posts most likely not a lot but a few items of post from the previous people who lived there so i would advise you to take that post put a cross through the top of it and just say please return to sender if the previous people did not give you a forwarding address then literally just cross a line through it and put return to sender and later on in the week just put those items back in the post box and then they will go back those items of the post will go back to the previous people or the people where they originally came from when you're leaving your home please make sure that you've cleaned the property so that it's nice and fresh for the new people to come in if you can arrange an end of tenancy clean then that'll be perfect so when the new people arrive that it's nice and fresh and it smells good and it hasn't got any of your items in there that was perfect for when a new a new person arrives into the property so obviously at the new
