How to eSign a document: digital signature legitimacy for teams in United States

just wanted to show you a little bit about what our integration looks like I am going to assume that most people here are somewhat familiar with one of our products is our eSignature product it's very widely used for collecting a signature from somebody without needing to be actually there with a pen and paper and in person so I'm going to show a little bit about how we integrate with teams we integrate with multiple Microsoft products and probably touch on power automate later if we have time and there's interest but one of the places that we really integrate with is teams and I'd like to talk a little bit about what we can do with teams the the two most obvious use cases or or scenarios are to uh receive information so what happens is a lot of people that want they get into teams want to stay in teams right because email is just a tsunami mess and and once people are in teams they just kind of want to stay here and stay focused on being in teams this allows people to stay in teams and be notified whenever there's a document that needs their signature and I'll demonstrate that we'll just put together a document real quickly here oh here it is so I've got and what I'm going to do is just grab an MSA that I put together last month for a different project it's just a complete demo and just upload it on there there's the document I'll just give a name here and this will be the name of my teams login that I have oh that's not that's a name we'll call it uh I know Bob Byer uh we'll call it me all right so look I'm already there good so I can by the way you can you can send it by email you can send notification by SMS you can send it just by SMS I'll just do email now for Simplicity and uh uh let's go put some tags on here you can automate where the signatures and names go but this one hasn't been configured so it's just a regular document so I'll go ahead and put in here signature tag again you can you can pre-do this I'll put my name here and we'll just put a date why not date signed All right so at this point we're done it's just a regular PDF it's been generated Hackman Capital Partners whatever that is I'll go ahead and send it and the key here is that it is now gone it was sent for me Marty at but let's see if we can find it here uh we should get a notice and in fact we did this just showed up 11 07 a.m my time which is right now and so what we've got here is we've got it's it's notified that there was a document here I can I can click on it I can review it I can sign it I can whatever uh I'll just click here on the review and that lets me initiate all actions from within uh within teams I didn't have to leave teams because I'm playing two different roles here I was the sender right but if I was in teams I'd be receiving it I'll go ahead and continue and pretend that this is me I'll click Start and this is the signature tag that we just set up Bob Byers what it's configured for for previous demo but the point is all the information is right here it's been filled out and as a signer I was in teams the whole time that's what's that's what's amazing about this you can just stay in there so I'll click finish and and we'll do some follow-up emails and some other notices let's go back to teams here uh so we can see that it was here I received it I I was notified I didn't have to leave teams to get that notification I can stay in teams but it works the other way as well suppose I'm in teams and I want to send the document out for Signature and I don't want to leave teams what I can do is here in this chat button I can just say help for example and it will give me some of the commands that are available and the ones that I can use to go ahead and do whatever it is I want to do to initiate an action you can see there's ability to send a template and if you're not familiar a template in Cree places you can pre-place recipients signatures names documents you can pre-place a bunch of information this is something I'm using personally for uh and what it'll do is it'll ask me which template I want to send I'll show you something I'm doing for a side project here it's an informed consent form and it already has a template I'll just click on it I'm sending this right here right now just by typing send template I'll click informed consent and you can see it's taking me right to and I will go ahead and send this to my email address uh and and let's see if I can do that here what this will do is this is as me the admin in teams I'm able to send this and and by the way I'm done I can just say send now and I can go right back into teams and I'm done it's out the door now what will happen is I'll get a notice in my email to go ahead and and process it as the recipient which is not logged into teams here so let's see what that looks like let's go in my email here and I've received this uh let's get rid of these is the old Hackman one I received this notice here it says please sign the informed consent and it says Marty skulls here's the email address I'm using logged into teams and it says hey thank you for agreeing sign the informed consent a click review document and this informed consent for a study I'm doing I'll just say continue and I'll click Start it'll take me to the signature line yes I read it all I also happen to have written it all so I know what it is so I'll just sign it say finish and I'm done and we can go back into teams and we'll be notified that the one I just sent is now completed all parties have signed I can download it if I want so I was able to send it out and really not leave teams just pop in the briefly to answer a few questions and I come right back into teams and it's gone I can just wait for the other party to do it and to go ahead and and I've got access to it and can see that they've completed it and that's all done in teams here I want to stop here
