every one I'm going to show you how to use Acrobat Reader DC a free PDF program to complete a form and sign it using your signature this is the program right here you might already have it on your computer if you don't it's free to download it you can google it it's called Acrobat Reader DC here's the form we're gonna practice signing I have it saved from my email on to my desktop so I'm gonna double click this and I'll open it using this program you'll notice the form is obviously not completed what we're going to do is go over to the right where there's a purple pen and it says fill and sign so I'm going to click that then it gives me this kind of cursor oops didn't click it we're gonna click fill-in sign again right here and it's going to give me a cursor where I can move all throughout the document and fill out the required fields so we'll say my child's name is John Smith and now I need a new cursor with another text box so I'm going to go up to the top here and click again and fill out his date of birth and so on and so forth down at the bottom we need your signature first we'll put our name so we'll say my name is James Smith for the signature we don't want you to just to just type it we want your real signature so there's a function called sign right here you can click that and select add signature it's going to give you three options you can type your signature but we don't want that option because that's not your true signature instead we want you to use the draw function if you don't have a touchscreen laptop or computer what you can do is just hold your mouse down and draw in your signature if you do have a touchscreen you can go ahead and write it in either way we just want your true signature so I'm gonna sign for Jane Smith you and then I'm going to press apply there we go so now you'll see you have this signature that you can place wherever you'd like and for the date you can either type it using the letters here or you can do add initials if you want to add another written format and you can draw again and you can write the date and it's the 8th today the benefit of using this program is that you don't have to print and some things in the mail or scan things what I can do now is do file save or save as and I'm gonna save it to my desktop now you can email that form by uploading it as an attachment to an email to your service provider I hope that was helpful you
