here some of those streams requires you to file expression of interest to show the province of Ontario that you are interested in making Ontario your permanent home so in today's video I'm going to give you a detailed walkth through on how to file this expression of Interest with the province of Ontario for those who are new hi I am Raj your friend in need and a community proclaimed guide for requires you to file expression of Interest ideally once you file your expression of interest for a particular stream your profile is sent to be in the pool from which the Ontario selects the candidates based on the minimum threshold cut off score most of the time everyone in the pool gets invited as long as you meet the minimum threshold Ontario uses same criterias to calculate scores for various different streams let's check out these criterias the first one is the education in which they are checking the level of your education the field of your education as well as where you completed your education whether it was in Ontario or some other Province or outside Canada the second one is language whether you know English or French or both the third one is the regional immigration criteria in which they are checking whether you want to settle in GTA or outside GTA the next one is the skill and work experience level in which they are checking if the skill is in tier 0 1 2 or three or the work experience in which they are checking how much work experience you have in the particular skill the next is the earning history how much money were you making as a part of the role you were doing or if you have a jaob offer letter from an Ontario employer how much money are they willing to offer you per hour the other important factors Ontario looks is basically a job offer in Ontario whether you have it or not or the overall Canadian work experience you have or not Ontario selects candidates based on some of the Strategic priorities they have it is totally calulated based on the labor market need of Ontario and could change every single time they release a draw so if you want to keep yourself updated please subscribe to the channel and keep in mind that there is no fees associated with this this eoi is a completely free application and you do not have to pay anything to be in the pool you only pay the PNP application fees if you are getting invited for the provincial nomination program so there is no harm in filling this up as long as you meet the criteria now let's start a step-by-step walk through on how to file eii with the province of Ontario so first of all we will go to the ontario.ca website the link is in the description for this and we will click on register and expression of Interest here we will click on continue and it will take us to the my Ontario login page now remember if you do not have the my Ontario login please create one before continuing because I already have the account I'll just log in once you log in you will see a page like this in which it says if you have a one key account you'll have to first migrate it to my Ontario account to continue so for people who have the existing 1 key account please check the video here on how to migrate your 1 key account to my onario account for others let's click on the new applicant and let's click on the stream of your interest so here I'm selecting employer job offer international student stream for the reference but you can select any other stream please make sure that human capital priority stream is not an expression of Interest based Stream So you cannot apply to human capital priority stream through an expression of interest only Ontario will send you a notification of interest if you are selected for this stream okay so let's continue with the international student stream I'll put the details here now as you can see once you put your details you'll be taken to this page which is the general section for registering an expression of Interest basically this General section gives you a good information about expression of Interest so please read through it carefully I'm giving you some overview here it basically says that you you can file an expression of interest for these streams also once you file your expression of interest you do not need to contact the program they will invite you if you are getting selected for filing your provincial nomination application and you have to make sure that once you are invited to file your provincial nomination application through this eoi based streams you do not get 45 days you only get 14 days to file your application that means you'll have to keep all your documents prepared and ready and the most important part of filing the application with the provincial nomination program is that you have to provide all the documents as a proof that the points you claimed through your eii are accurate before we continue let me tell you a little bit about our sponsor hey yeah so I'm the information will be already populated just provide the details here now after filling your personal information we will click on next now these are the labor market questions or employment factors so I will try to explain them in detail the first one is the occupation of your job offer because this particular stream is the job offer international student stream you'll have to provide the occupation of your job offer let's say I'm a web designer with an hourly wage of $35 please make sure that most of the time it might be possible that you do not have an hourly wage but an annual income you will have to convert that into an hourly wage the easiest way I could find to do that is to either talk to your HR about it or you can go to this website called talent.com and here is how you can put your salary in there and then just click on R and you will be able to find your ear salary that would be an approximate salary for you okay let's continue please select the duration of employment in the position of your job offer to date only work conducted in Ontario and the same occupation for the same employer should be counted so now in this section we will have to provide since how long you are working for this particular job role let's say I'm already working with this company since less than 6 months I can put that here now what is the highest pre-tax income stated in Last 5 Years now pre-tax income would most likely be in the line number 15,000 in your file text but you'll be able to find that in the line in the first line if you are opening your NOA if you open your NOA you'll probably find it somewhere here so please uh use that number uh and find out the highest number you had in Last 5 Years and use that to put here let's say I had $80,000 now before we continue I would really appreciate if you could like this video as people who are in need of filing this expression of Interest they can find this video very easily let's continue do you have a legal immigration status in Canada if you are on a post-graduate work permit or if you are on any other work permit uh currently being offered this job in Canada you can do that even if you are on an implied status which means you have applied for your postgraduate work permit at this point of time or you applied for your any other work permit at this point of time you can still use the implied status if you are a visitor and currently in Canada or outside Canada you could still use that yes you have a legal immigration status in can Canada which means that you can travel to Canada if needed okay so for the purpose here I'm just selecting worker and because it's an international student stream I'm selecting pgwp which is the postgraduate work permit but as you can see you can have other section as well which is uh a work permit which is lmia exempt but is a closed work permit that would go into the other section and the work permit which is supported by lmia would go as work permit supported by lmia and you'll have to provide the start date and the end date of the work permit you'll have to make sure your current stat St of your work permit if you're providing is active so we'll put let's [Music] say and once you are done with this let's click on next in the education section what is your highest level of Education right uh this can be a Canadian as well as foreign degrees so please make sure that here when it's been asked it is only asking for your highest level of Education right there is no section called two or more degree diploma or certificate section right so if you have a bachelor's as the highest degree please use that if you have a master's as a highest degree please use that as you can see that The Graduate certificate diploma from a university or college is considered as a higher level education as compared to Bachelor so please do that if you have pursued any graduate level uh diploma or certificate here in Canada if you have any degree in medicine that is obviously higher than a bachelor's so let's select Bachelor here uh as most people will have this as the highest uh level of Education select the field of study for the Canadian credentials you intended to use so as I I am selecting the international student stream I would definitely have a study in Canada so I'm going to use that field of study let's say I studied in computer and information science here just because I selected web designer please select detailed information about the Canadian credential you intended to use okay so in this case what we have to provide is the Canadian credentials details so in this case I'll be providing uh The Graduate date when I graduated in this program so let's say I graduated on now here I have to provide any additional Canadian credentials I have so in this case if someone has done two certificates of 8 months each which is one year certificates for 2 years uh then they can provide both their credentials if someone has only done one then they can only do one for people who only have one let's click on uh delete this uh so we do not need it now we'll click on next uh the next section is about language most likely you might have a cpip is or pte score for English and if it's French you will have TEF or TCF uh let's select is for the sake of Simplicity here as you can see at this point of time you should have an IL result to even continue with the eoi so make sure you have an ILS as well as the ECA done for your credentials which are not Canadian once you have entered the details let's click on next regionalization as I explained at the beginning of this video regionalization is also an important part for Ontario to select candidates we have to understand in what location will you have to report for the work so in this this case let's say if you're working remote but are working from Ontario then you'll have to report you'll have to provide the work location which is probably your headquarters where you report your work so let's say I work in Toronto the next question is that if you attended your education at a physical location what was that location let's say I attended the Scarboro campus so again torono now the next section is about the Strategic priorities okay as I said at the beginning of this video there are again some priorities which Ontario focuses on so if you are applying through the economic Mobility pathway project please select that or please do not select anything here and we'll continue now finally in the confirmation section you will be able to see all the points that you have scored as a part of this application as a part of your expression of Interest before you submit and to verify you have got proper points for the education or the information you have provided here you can go to this particular page in which you can see that all the points for a particular selection is been given and I'm also Pro providing the link in the description for you to go check that out okay so once you are satisfied that everything is correct you are given right points for the right information you have provided we'll click on next and this is the final disclaimer where you have to provide your full legal name as per your work permit or your passport you'll have to provide the date of birth uh today's date and finally your signature in the box which could be your name and finally you submit the application please make sure that on the date when you submit this expression of Interest you'll also have to get that attestation form signed to make sure that you have signed this attestation form on the date you applied for your expression of Interest even if you're filing it later you have to make sure that the date matches the date when you applied for the expression of Interest okay just in case if you're getting invited later on uh don't mess that up so this was it it's that simple right and it's not just this particular
