How to eSign a document: e-signature lawfulness for Lodger Agreement in UAE
all right so this is all about tenancy agreements monthly yearly um those of us coming from Africa Nigeria precisely we are used to paying yearly rents sometimes we have to parent for a period of two years yes upfront especially if you are moving into a house nearly you have to pay deposites you have to pay agency you have to pay for two years rent or a year and six months sometimes you pay for a year yeah but here in the UK I'll be sharing my experience with you here or our experience with you in this very contents what I have experienced lately that I think that it is um positive it is nice because I'm happy about that yes you might want to apply this said Meanwhile my name is chinyere ojike you are most welcome to my channel once again subscribe to my channel like this video keep coming for more and do not forget to drop your question in the comment section and I will do well to answer directly or make a video about it if your question is so big big for me to elaborate more on it alright so this is the experience I had or I have living in this very house we moved into this house in August 2021 yes and the agreement was signed tenancy agreement was for one whole year a period of 12 months so at the expiration of that 12 months in 2022 August precisely before the expiration one month so its expiration the landlord sent us a letter suggesting that she would she or she because obviously we don't know who our landlord is or uh whether they are a couple or single individual who don't know because we got this house from the house and managers housing estate agents managing this very building so whatever issues we have whatever needs we have any damages in this house we call or write the housing agents in charge of this very building for them to come fish whatever you know and whatever that damages they would confess them with their own money not from our own money even though we made a deposit of the same amount but most of the stuff in this house like the washing machine dishwasher gas fridge all of them are inbuilt should they have any faults we call them to come have a look so back to what I was talking about so we signed an agreement for one year contracts to be staying here for a period of one year however the rent would be monthly rents direct debits moving out of our accounts every month at a specific day of the months yes so after the contract expired or one month of its expiration our landlord sent a letter suggesting that they would like to increase the rent this is a three-bedroom house um semi-detached house you know we should even call it two and a half because though I've made a video about the room sizes and this as you may find out my boys room is in fact it's not up to half of a room it's quite small yes so she wrote us to say she's increasing the rent at first we paid 595 pounds in a month including the deposit of the summer months we made so she wrote us after one year or 11 after to say she'll be increasing the rent from that 595 pounds to 620. you know these people they like by gaining a lot so we bargained the money became 610 pounds second year we started paying 610 pounds every year every month sorry not every year so as time goes on at the end of our first one year here we were not sure of staying here and when they brought the contract because you have to renew your tenancy agreement they sent it to us because we're not sure we had to sign for six months yes we signed for another six months so towards the expiration of that six months five months interval our landlady sent a letter to us or our landlord suggesting that they want to increase the rent again from the 16 to 6 30 and the answers to begin I begin forces because I'm always the one doing that I began for 615 pounds every month and they said no that it's gonna be 620 every month we drag this drug that and we were not sure of staying here again we decided to look elsewhere we found a house somewhere 500 for a three bedroom comfortable the only problem is that the house has just one toilet no visitors toilet so it became an issue for us yeah so we didn't really take that and then what we did instead of signing another agreement for another six months for another one year we decided to burn off ignore them yes and start living our life here because we're not sure of what to do we don't want to leave this place because it's close to my husband's workplace and the 20 minutes walk from my boys school we do work it at times and sometimes we take the bus as the case may be we decided not to reply them again because they said that she fit them back if I agree because I need to contact my husband so that we can be saying the same thing he has to agree because basically this money will be you know living his accounts are not mine so I needed to agree with him so after I spoke to my my husband he said okay that's fine we could sign another one on the second thought I decided to burn all of them no points finding any other agreement hence if you did not or do not find a new tenancy agreement for another six months or one year definitely yours grants will be running over monthly pay as you go monthly so this is what happens in our own case even the estate managers they didn't reach back to us again I decided to let it go so every month guess how much that leaves our bank accounts for the rent 610 pounds every month instead of the 615 why because I did not sign that agreement or we did not sign that agreement for an um to renew another contracts for a period of six months or one year so this is what happens if you have already on a one-year contract before it expires definitely your landlady or your landlord they have the right to increase the range and they can only increase it if you agree to the letter they sent out to you if you sign it that means you agree to the new changes or to the new increment that means they're gonna increase it but if you're living to run monthly pay as you go and you did not sign any agreements suggesting that yes you have agreed that the new rent will be I mean that you have agreed for the new increment definitely your rents will be running based on the previous amount okay during our second year here if I did not sign or if we did not sign that agreement for that increment to 16 it would have still be running at 595 every month yes unfortunately we signed the agreement for another six months so this is why they increase it and now they want me to sign the third one for another increment now what did I come do for the UK every every agreement I signed you increase rent for them Nigerian for that matter you know we don't take such things so now yes it's been for a period of four months earlier about because we're expected to renew um another tenancy agreement in Federal Way this is July nobody has come here to query me every month they send me a letter to say thank you Francesca will 610 from your account thank you very much for paying your rent it's been life from February to July concerts nobody came here to say You must sign an agreement for another one year a contract for another six months and therefore the increments applies so the Y Zone in this country and before your landlady or anybody managing your house increases the rent they must inform you one month to the expiration of your previous contract if you have signed for a year or for six months interval depending on what you have signed they must alert you and for that to take effect you must put your signature to say I agreed to this new increment yes and you sign it the Stampede sent back to you if not they are not gonna increase it so this is this has been our case or my case here and I like it though because that 10 10 pounds every month if you add it together it's enough money back home okay so until I'm about to leave this very house definitely when you are about to your house in the UK you have to give to your landlord the law requires you to give them one month notice that you believe in Upper Moon social dates so that they will find another person to take over your house as soon as you leave your house so always remember to alert your landlord one month before you leave all right so this is the game and I'm loving it yes thank you very much for watching subscribe to my channel if you haven't and leave your questions in the comment section see you again in my next uploading thank you
