everyone who is going through the same process as i am i hope that my videos have been useful and that you are following all of the information that i've provided that being said i still get certain questions or certain comments that i'm just like oh my god what are you doing so i wanted to make this quick video to just share five of the biggest mistakes that i've seen come through in my comments liking and subscribing also is great let's get started one of the first biggest mistake that many people have commented and asked me is this okay is this okay will i get rejected the first one is spelling numbers and date errors now i have stressed this in my guide that you should double triple quadruple check your application forms spelling mistakes numbers mistakes and date mistakes might not seem like a big deal but something as minut and silly as like a spelling error can get your application rejected and i feel like after all of that stress that you've gone through one spelling mistake or one number mistake or one date error has made has made such a huge difference in whether or not you get the result or not i mean it's not worth the risk please be extremely meticulous with double triple quadruple checking your application and make sure that there are no spelling number or date errors second one on the back of the spelling errors is not proofreading your application if you are hiring a lawyer or like an advisor don't expect them to double check your application because all they're doing is trying to make your process seamless in a sense that they're going to submit your application for you and they're going to communicate with the visa people for you on your behalf they are not proofreading your application like that's not their job i've had a person come up to me and say there are certain mistakes in my application form my lawyer would inform me that there were these mistakes but now they're telling me that it's been rejected because xyz and as much as i feel bad for this person it's not really the lawyer's fault because it's not the lawyer's job to do it they can't be checking your details like your information that you should be knowing how would they know they don't have any information to like cross-check with all they're doing is making sure that you submit everything properly and then they're doing that on your behalf whatever you provide to the lawyer is the final thing they're not paid to proofread are only paid to submit things on your behalf number three not including evidence of your relationship this is a strange one because i thought it was quite obvious that you need to include like photos of your wedding what's up conversations and stuff like that but i have received so many questions from people saying i've only submitted to my marriage certificate i didn't know i needed to submit all of these other things like will i get rejected first of all just a disclaimer i don't know if you will get rejected but it is advised that you add all of these additional evidence because right now they're trying to crack down on shared marriages shared marriages are usually you know people who are just faking a marriage so that they can live here legally and usually when people do share marriages they just submit a marriage certificate with nothing else it's more so that you want to avoid this kind of attention this kind of like risk that you are like a relationship you know what i mean if you add like whatsapp conversations to show that you are constantly talking to your partner even if you live far away that you're calling each other all the time that you add photos of your travels so that you know it shows that you've met each other in real life and of course photos from your actual wedding so that to show that this is an actual legal marriage it will make sure that the officers will think okay this is obviously a legitimate marriage this is also that officers will cross out the suspicions that they may have please include proof of your relationship i've already listed a bunch of things that you could include in your proof of relationship in my documents video watch that if you need to if you need a guide you know but please don't forget all of these things these things are actually quite important for your application and it actually does prove that you have a legitimate marriage number four not translating your documents into english this is like an important thing it already says in the government website that all documents have to be in english if you have a marriage certification for example and you got married in a country that is not english speaking you need to go to an official translator and you need to get it translated for example you got married in like china or you got married in somewhere in saudi arabia most likely those certifications are going to be in a language that is not english so you need to get it translated how are the officers going to read your certificate if they don't understand the language you know what i mean so get any documents that are not in english translated to english number five is not including very important or relevant information in your cover letters and by this i mean information that is important for an officer to know for example if your partner who is the british citizen if within a year they change jobs you need to include this information in the cover letter and you need to include documents that support this information in the cover letter i would recommend providing one whole year of payslips and bank statements and then writing in the cover letter why you are providing those one years because your partner has changed jobs another example is like if you are choosing the savings route you need to put in the cover letter where the savings are coming from is it an inheritance is it a sale from your parents house another example is if your partner lives with their parents and you are planning to live with them when you come to the uk you need to state this in the cover letter you have to provide like documents or even a letter from the parents saying that they're happy for you to come here to live with us take photos of the house and all that stuff these information is actually quite important and it actually helps boost your application because you're being as transparent as possible with the officers with the visa officers you're telling them exactly what the situation is and exactly what you plan for when you come here as well a lot of people have actually asked me like what do i do if my me and my wife or me and my husband are going to live with my parents what do i say do i say i just rent a place no you say that you are going to live with your parents and that is your parents property that they own and that you pay rent to your parents put all of these down in the cover letter just explain everything so that it's clear concise and that you are completely transparent with the visa offices the more honest the better those are the five mistakes that you should not be making when you are doing your application recap number one do not make spelling number or date errors please please please double check all of these things number two please proofread your application read it twice three times make sure everything is correct make sure every spelling is correct and do not depend on your lawyer to do this this is your responsibility number three not including evidence of relationship please include photos wedding photos whatsapp conversations make sure that you are able to legitimize your marriage number four not translating your documents into english please get all of your documentation that is not in english translated to english and make sure that it is a proper translator as well most likely your government will also have like an official translator that you can go to and pay do that just do that and number five not including specific and important information in your cover letter please make sure that you are as transparent as possible in this application form and be honest just be honest so i hope this video was useful
