This is a fairly complicated question to answer because there's yes parts and there's no parts to this. If a company has a drug-free workplace policy in place, you as the employee would be notified of this upon employment. Typically, drug testing starts with pre-employment drug screenings. Once you are brought on board, the drug-free workplace policy is your notice of drug testing. If your company has a drug-free workplace policy that includes random drug testing, the company will not give you a notice that you're gonna be randomly drug tested. Additionally, if they have post-accident drug testing and you have an accident that meets the standard that requires a drug test, you will then be drug tested after the accident. Your notice is the drug-free workplace policy.
