How to eSign a document: eSignature lawfulness for Public Relations in Canada

My name is Kristel Véliz, I come from Lima, Peru, and I graduated from the Diploma in Public Relations and Communications Management. I earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in Political Science and International Relations in Sweden. And then I moved back to Lima and started working for different embassies. After seven years, I started thinking about my career and where I wanted to go, and I thought the next step would be to specialize more in public relations and communications. So when I decided to come to Canada, I started doing a little bit of research and that's how I found the McGill Diploma in Public Relations and Communications Management. What spoke most to me about the program, it was a combination of different disciplines. Courses like Corporate Social Responsibility and Communications, Ethics, and the good blend between theory and practice. Because my background is in political science and international relations and not really in public relations and communications, the blend of both theory and practice was particularly important for me. The theory gave me the grounding to make decisions at the professional level, so to know why I was doing certain things and then the practical, of course, helped me reinforce the skills I had already gained. One thing that attracted me about the program, it was the fact that it was shorter than a master's. So that would help me gain the skills that I needed to enter the workforce quicker. Another thing that I really liked about the program was the range of complimentary courses that we had. I found particularly useful Project Management, which gave me the skills and gave me the tools to manage large scale projects with different stakeholders and different deliverables. In the program you learn how to write press releases, do public speaking, create communication plans. But what was particularly useful for me as a newcomer to Canada, this program gave me the opportunity to do all of these things in English and helped me gain the confidence to enter the workforce in Canada. After I graduated, I was hired by the government of Canada. Particularly now I see the value of what I learned because it helps me every day in my job.
