How to eSign a document: eSignature legitimateness for Military Leave Policy in European Union

Welcome to the EUR-Lex guided tour section. In this tutorial, you will learn about the different tabs available when displaying a document on EUR-Lex. We will start with an example of the document view of a directive from the collection legislation. Here you will find up to five different tabs. Text This tab is opened by default. It gives access to the title and reference of the document, the text of the document and all available language versions and formats. You can also display the document in our multilingual display. This tab also contains the ELI reference. ELI, or the European Legislation Identifier, is a system to make legislation available online in a standardised format, so that it can be accessed, exchanged and reused across borders. Document information This is the 'identity card' of the document. You will find all the information about the document in this tab. This includes the type of document, the author, the dates of the document and much more. Information is displayed in groups ing to different criteria. Sometimes, the information is displayed as a link; if you click on it, it will redirect you to a result page containing all items within the same classification. In this tab you will also find links to documents that are related to the displayed document. This includes the legal basis, amendments, corrigenda, consolidated versions and more. Here you can consult the current status of the document and check if the document has been amended or repealed. Procedure In the procedure tab you will find a timeline displaying different events and working documents leading to the adoption of a legislative act. The timeline contains direct links to each document, or preparatory act. It shows you the full lifecycle of the legislative proposal, from the moment it was launched until it became law. At the bottom of the page you will also find a direct link to the Legislative Observatory of the European Parliament, which offers complementary information about the procedure in question. National transposition This tab is only available for Directives. Here you will find information about the measures taken by Member States to transpose the Directive into National law. The list will contain the titles of National Implementing Measures as communicated by the Member States, as well as basic references to these documents. Summary of legislation The Summary of legislation tab is available for most prominent acts, which have been summarised into short, easy to read texts. There are over 2500 summaries available on EUR-Lex. The Summaries of legislation are published for information purposes only, and carry no legal value. Thank you for watching this video.
