questions and then I'll make videos to answer them so this video is in response to some of the questions that you've asked so today I'll be talking about how to apply to Canada jobs via email using your cover letter and your CV because I had some questions that came in with respect to that so I previously discussed how to search for Canada jobs especially using the Canada job bank and some of the questions I got was that how do we apply because there are some jobs that require you to probably send a mail to the recruiter and then at times when you have to either include your CV and also include your cover letter or there are times where you even need to as you are sending the image you need to actually put in something like a cover letter as a body of the mail to talk about your experience and what to stand to offer so basically what I want to do is to just talk you through how to go about that but before we continue I want to quickly put this out there that I'm not a travel consultant so if you have any questions and just drop them in the chat box I will try as much as possible YouTube to answer them based on my own experience so I've been getting questions about uh helped me write my CV let me review my CV I don't know what to put into my CV so what you can do is if you go to because we really underestimate Google so what you can do is go to Google and type in your role or your job rule just type it in and put sample CV by the time you do that you most likely will see a list of sample CVS that you can use as a guide while editing the word document I shared in some of my last uh videos yeah so you can do that as well and to serve as a guide in you developing yours okay so basically we just be talking about how to apply to Canada jobs via email using your cover letter in your CV so let's get started so I already included a sample template uh in the description box so you can just go into the description box and download them because it will help you in developing yours so you've started through the job bank or wherever platform that you've searched and you've seen the job you want to apply to but the method of applying is that you send a mail to the recruiter so basically what I want to do is you want to take note of distance because they are very very important and there are some of those things that people do that may not be correct or that they don't do so the first one is respect to the email address I want to send the mail to itself just copy it directly don't type it manually it's only probably if you find it difficult to copy it directly that you may decide to actually type in manually and the reason for this is because there are situations whereby you may have typed in an i instead of an L so so that there won't be an issue where you send email and then you're expecting feedback and then the mail that you sent is not correct so sometimes as well just copy it instead of typing it manually then another point is that where you are sending email to a recruiter always include subjects there are times when you forget to just put in all the body of the email you attach what I want to attach and forget to include the subject if you notice when you don't include subject most likely it goes to the spam of the recruiter meaning that your Twitter will not see it and to develop that is not difficult what you can do is just go to the job description there will always be the name of the row that you're applying to so say for example you're applying to the role of an accountant and just put accountants and can put Dash then put your name there and then you're good to go yeah so that at least it will differentiate it from all other applicants then another thing is when you are sending a mail or unless say for example you've sent the mail out and then you got the feedback one important thing you don't want to do is to type in the name of that person wrongly by the time the recruiter has sent email the most likely would have signed off with their name under just copy that name and place it as your maybe there so so and so or I so so on so just put that name there copy it and place it there don't try and type it because the assistant suggestions your Bible wants to reply my millionaire they say I I did the mola or I demola instead of my full name so the there is a chance that you may want to misspell the name of the recruiter nobody likes that when they don't spell their names correctly so that could also be another factor that I might consider when you are replying a meal or when you are sending email to a recruiter make sure you get that name right and if you don't know their name it leads me to the next point if you don't know the name of the requester or it is not on the platform where you copied it from what you need to do is to just say dear Ira manager so once you do that and put your command you're good to go so it's important to take all this answer for those because they also think that the recruiters look out for then with respect to cover letters it is not compulsory that you include a cover letter where you are sending a mail out to your recruiter with respect to a particular job if the job itself does not require you to send a cover letter you don't need to include the cover letter your body of your meal is as good as the cover letter so you don't necessarily need to attach a cover letter except if the recruiter specifically requests for it if they don't request for it just attach your CV and you're good to go then when you're sending whether it is your CV or it is your cover letter always make sure that it is in what PDF don't send the word document so PDF is always easier to read compared to what document so if I just consider sending PDF instead of Word document so whether I required to send either cover letter or CV or both always send them in PDF then another thing is that your email address is also important so you want to make sure that your email address they are using for official purpose should not have silly items there yeah you know all those kind of uh email addresses I'm talking about so you also have to be conscious of that so that you don't send the wrong signal to your recruiter then one last thing is that you need to always check your spam folder now the reason for this is because there are times when a recruiter might send the email and then go straight up to your spam and you may not know so you may just probably dedicate even if it's just three times in a week to say okay let me check my SPAM folder to see whether any meal has gone wrongly yeah so that you there won't be a case where there's a male sitting in your spam and you don't even know so you need to frequently check your spam folders and if you see that this may is not looking like something coming from a recruiter I have sent the email to just delete them yeah yeah but the major thing is always check your spam folder now another aspect is if it is not requested so if it is not requested you don't want to just include your CV and then just send me even if it is requested you need to also put something as body of the email so our advice is that body of the meal structure is like a cover letter so you are saying there are a manager I'm writing this me the only thing is that you may not need to start putting headers and the rest well you just need to put what I mean by addresses where you say application for the role of Susan so no because what you have as a subject which is your header in this case is just the job Rule and iPhone and your name so what you want to say is their Ira manager then you just go straight to the point yeah so what I've done is I've included two files in the description box so one is editable which is a Word document
