hi everyone my name is Alan and I want to walk you through very quickly how to sign an electronic document at this point you should have received an email and I'll go ahead and go to my email box and I see I did receive something from esign platform and that's the electronic signature and it says IDs client agreement and as I pull up that email and in a moment I'll scroll down and I see it says to review the document and sign with an electronic signature follow this link so right below that is a link which I'll click on please accept the consumer disclosure this talks about the fact that it's a legal binding agreement and that you acknowledge that you're signing it online which is the same as signing it in person and I'll go ahead and click accept you'll notice there's a number of fields to be completed by clicking in any one of the fields you'll be able to type for the sake of expedience I'm just going to put an X into each one of these fields so we can move forward and you see I'm just clicking inside the field to be able to type if you're doing this on a smart phone I would advise that you turn the smartphone in the landscape position which is sideways our preference and and really what's easiest for you is if you use a laptop a desktop or a tablet on the smartphone it gets a little tedious you'll notice there's a scroll bar in the bottom left and on the bottom right you'll notice it says submit signature the submit signature is grayed out and will remain grayed out until you sign it and all fields are complete to see my next field I'll click on the scroll button and I see I need to initial that field and I'll click on scroll again and I'll continue doing that until I'm finished and here it looks like I need to sign it and fill out the date so I'll click on the date and to sign it I'm just gonna move my mouse over the signature pad and go ahead and sign it your signature does not need to represent your actual signature as it's an electronic document and once I move my mouse off of the signature pad it will go ahead and accept it I'm gonna hit the scroll button one more time it's asking me to put in the date and now I see that the submit signature box on the bottom right is illuminated and is ready for me to submit I'll go ahead and do that and once the system accepts it it will send you an email that email will have a complete copy of the client agreement and a PDF along with the power of attorney we ask that you print that out bring the power of attorney to have notarized you'll need to sign it in the presence of a notary and you should have received another email from us with a link to our upload center we would ask that you go to the upload center upload only the signature page of the power of attorney along with front and back of the driver's license and social security card along with a utility bill a cable bill of sale bill something reflecting your home address let me check my email and see if my document came in so it says the document the IDS client agreement is complete I'll go ahead and click on the PDF and here you see the completed document and if I scroll down I'll find the power of attorney and you'll want to have the notary sign this page where it says secure signature rather excuse me an acknowledgement and it's the notary witnessing that you the principal have signed it and then we will then stamp it you'll take that page along with the other documents mentioned and please go to our upload center any questions please contact your affiliate consultants and they'll be delighted to walk you through it thanks very much and I hope this has been of help
