How to eSign a document: online signature licitness for Letter of Appreciation to Employee in Canada

foreign [Music] [Music] okay and can I have your home address there and do you have any plans to travel outside of Canada in the next little bit or so no not yet and have you ever had any issues with immigration or the police inside or outside of Canada so I'm going to need to see two pieces of photo ID one will need to be your PR card the other one can be any other piece of photo ID if you could just put it up to the screen that would be great okay all right great thank you and the other one is the health card okay that's great thank you thank you and I'm actually gonna have to ask you to cut the pr card in four pieces for me please okay so can I show you okay yeah please okay that's great thank you perfect okay so what's gonna happen right now um we just need a few more minutes before we finish registering it's a lot of us so we shouldn't be much longer and then we're gonna bring everyone back we're gonna have this ceremony um the most important thing of today's ceremony is the oh the judge walls take the O2 we just ask that you're repeat what afterward after the judge it is the last legal requirement today to become a Canadian so we do want to make sure that you are taking the oath today uh hi everybody good afternoon well I hope everybody's in a good mood you should be because this is going to be a very good afternoon for all of you all 127 of you and I can promise you this this is the day you're gonna remember I think for a very long time coaches a lot of people remember the name they became citizens just like it was yesterday and they carry this with them really throughout most their lives I've heard this from people who've gone through the ceremony of 10 20 30 years ago and they tell me they remember the day they were scoring in just like it was yesterday so I next September the 14th I guarantee you most of you are going to stop for a moments and you're going to say hey this is the day I became a Canadian [Music] I had a chance to look at many of you in the rooms they ran I see a lot of you have a Canadian flag in behind you somewhere you have a big flag a little flag some of your aggressive red and white or whatever I think that's fantastic and I thank each and every one of you for doing that that extra mile and making this event just extra specialty it certainly is for me as well but anyways as I said this is a day you're gonna remember for a very long time and on behalf of the government of Canada I want to welcome each and every one of you all 127 of you to today's Canadian citizenship ceremony you know it's it's unfortunate that we're not able to do this in person I think that's what most of us would honestly prefer but it doesn't make this Ceremony this virtual ceremony any less special I can assure you that it's just as special as if we were doing this as a face-to-face end-ended person having said that let me also offer a very special welcome uh if you're not friends and family just Out Of Reach about the camera is showing us but they're in the same room as you're in maybe they're sitting on a couch nearby or the end of the bed or what have you but they're in the same room that you're in and they're there to offer our moral support to you as you go through this and it's very important and very exciting moment in your life obviously this is a very proud moment for you and for your family no doubt about it this is a really a milestone in your life that's the only word I can think of it really describes something like this in your life it's a milestone you've embraced this country and now this country is ready to embrace you as you take this next very important very necessary and very exciting step in becoming a citizen of Canada it's not easy it is some of you have traveled a long way to arrival where you are today you've demonstrated courage and perseverance and I know you've had to work hard and you had to study hard you've had to adjust to a new culture you've had to adjust to a new way of doing things you've had to make new friends some of you have had to learn a new language and every single one of you every one of you [Music] now that that is quite an accomplishment it really is and I'm sure it wasn't without many challenges or bumps in the road along the way anyways now before we get to the Oaths before we get to the Oaths the clerk has some very important words of instruction for you no we will now proceed with the oath of citizenship all candidates who are 14 years of age and older are required to take the oath if there is any doubt that you have taken the oath you will not obtain your citizenship certificate children under 14 years of age do not need to repeat the hope I can if they wish it is necessary that you repeat the open English or French or both after the presiding official you're encouraged to repeat it in both languages as a symbolic gesture of your commitment to respecting Canada's two official languages the presiding official will start by saying I swear but you have the choice of saying either I swear or I affirm we ask that you position yourself directly in front of the camera so we may see you properly during the hook taking please pay close attention to the following instructions you will repeat the words of the old as a group one sentence at a time each time after the presiding official do not read the old on your own and now turn on your microphones remain silent and wait for the presiding official to repeat one session please repeat after me since I swear I will be faithful to Bear True Religions but his majesty Les [Music] king of Canada [Music] is accessories [Music] the laws of Canada the laws of Canada [Music] including the Constitution which recognizes and affirms which recognizes [Music] Aboriginal and treaty rights the Aboriginal and fifty dollars the First Nations [Music] [Music] to fulfill my duties [Music] look it's a Canadian citizen I was about done ladies and gentlemen thank you and just a reminder folks it's easy this is this is an easy easy thing to do now I know some of you are thinking about I don't know how to speak French this is the amazing part this is a really amazing work you don't have to know how to speak French to say it in French I want to give you two and I want to give you two good reasons why I really want you to say it in French and this is something this is something you can take with you for the rest of your life [Music] I guarantee you in the day this week you must get this route there'll be occasions when you'll be talking about this innermost and how cool is it going to be how cool is going to be when you can tell your friends and your family your co-worker Chris whoever you're going to say hey hey when I became a Canadian how can we say it in French I've got some really good news I want to pass on each and every one of you so I'm going to go slow but I want you all to try doing this with me okay it ain't the devil for today sincere allergies [Music] Trump ET [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] um [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] because 50 years oh you did a pretty good job I mentioned to you uh just before we started saying the olds that I was gonna have some very good news I wanted to pass on to each and every one of you and uh and I think it's this I want to tell you how lucky and proud I feel because I get to be the very first person to say this to you number one congratulations number two welcome and number three and I think this is what you've waited to hear for a long time maybe for years and I am so proud to be the very first person to say these words to you you are now a Canadian you're a Canadian you did it thank you thank you [Music] and I can only say I can only say thank you back to you because uh I was honored to be part of the ceremony with each one of you today I really was um now we're actually getting near the end of the ceremony ladies and gentlemen and in a few moments we're going to be singing our national anthem thank you for choosing Canada we're so glad you're part of our country what it is today and what it will be tomorrow as we build it together congratulations Canadians and welcome home
