and the company's Chief Financial Officer Tom Chesterman uh before I do turn it over to uh the company to begin their presentation I do want to remind everyone that if you've not already scheduled thank you Robert uh thank you for the opportunity to present today at the lithan partners uh investor spring conference so please be advised that we may be making some forward looking statements during during today's presentation so at sinc we are addressing one of the world's oldest one of the most challenging problems and that's rodent control but we doing it through a completely different way than has ever been done before by addressing the root cause of the problem reproduction in essence it's rodent birth control the existing Solutions Effectiveness namely poisons are limited by the rats reproduction rate resistance and aversion as well as the enhanced social and political limitations on the use of poison I'll touch on all of these in a moment as communities increasingly look to deploy sustainable effective Solutions fertility control fits right in with that objective and products that can be Paradigm changing don't come along very often but when they do they have an opportunity to change the way things have been done for Generations we can do that so since this is an investment conference let's highlight a few key Reasons Why We Believe sinc represents a compelling opportunity beyond what I just mentioned as you can see from the chart on the right we have significantly grown revenues over the past few years with a 70% kager we recently announced our q1 financial results which were highlighted by record revenues that were up 78% compared to the year ago first quarter these record results are being driven by orders for evolve our new all allnew Soft Bait that was launched at the end of 2023 which I will touch on in Greater detail shortly we're also making significant progress reducing our adjusted eida loss the q1 quarterly adjusted eida loss was the smallest in the company history as we strive to achieve our goal of achieving positive operating cash flow as soon as possible in the company in the coming quarters beyond the growth trajectory of the company we operate in a very large industry with the company initially targeting a market in the US which spends upwards of1 billion dollar annually on rodenticides importantly we have a product that delivers value for our customers showing up to 90% or more Improvement and outcomes when added to integrated Pest Management Programs and in the near future our core fertility technology can be applied to other Mamon pest populations with a fertility product for mice having been launched and we are really excited about that so why do we do this why do we believe fertility control is the answer and why other Solutions fail traditional Pest Control tools like lethal poison seek to control the death rate and are therefore very reactive the challenge is the incredible rate of reproduction of the Rat here is your rat fact for the day given sufficient food water and harborage two breeding rats can result in 15,000 Offspring in a single year in fact the largest pest control company in the world rent to kill commissioned an interactive study that revealed how a pair of rats could produce nearly a half a billion descendants in just three years half a billion you cannot poison them or trap them or gas them fast enough to overcome their fertility you need to control the population by proactively Red reducing the birth rate so having too many rats is a is a huge problem for society uh one worth spending Millions on because they cost billions and yet this problem is not a new one it has been an age-old problem usually addressed by with lethal options using poisons or less than Humane traps but these options are not keeping up on the contrary it appears rat infestations are getting worse but this is simply more than a rats are a pest issue they cause real impacts to society from a public health standpoint rats present enormous Global public health risks and are significant vectors for disease from a food supply standpoint rats destroy 20% of the world's stored food supply through consumption or contamination and they're highly destructive they cause over $27 billion of infrastructure damage per year in the us alone moreover the current options of rodenticides can pose a very real danger to people to pets to Wildlife sometimes the wrong things get poison our Solutions contrapest and evolve are effective Humane and environmentally friendly ways of controlling this animal pest population through fertility control and as you can see on this slide adding our fertility control solutions to an integrated Pest Management program has proven to improve efficacy by over 90% it's important to note however that different customers have different reasons to be satisfied in the poultry industry rat infestations cost money as the rats consume or contaminate feed as they Fe on chicks as they damage equipment and as the labor required to control the infestation increases Russ we've have two extensive studies in the poultry industry and one in a large Urban setting in each of these settings we demonstrated a 90% or better Improvement when added to the existing integrated Pest Management program 90% or better Improvement that's increased pro profits in the business settings and decreased rack complaints in the urban settings for our new evolved product we just completed a study which will be getting published shortly and there were results and the results there were also quite positive which is to be expected and predicted from the literature available on the active ingredient this new study only went through one one breeding cycle and the results were a 60% reduction in litter size this indicates an 85% reduction in population over 6 months compared to leaving the population untreated and even more over a longer periods we will now start some long-term field trials at customer locations and we fully expect the efficacy to increase significantly over multiple litters with increased consumption and in real world conditions this is actually a little better than our first short-term study for contrapest and as I mentioned it went on to prove that 90% efficacy in longer term field studies we expect evolve will prove as good or better than pest simply put the product works so when I took over a CEO a year and a half ago one of the imperatives that I put forth for us to become successful was giving the customers more options our initial product contrapest it's Unique patented it's contraceptive technology that reduces or eliminates fertility in both male and female rats this fertility control is currently delivered in a liquid form as rats need to consume about 10% of their body weight in water every day so it's palatable to the rats a birth control milkshake that is sweet and fatty and keeps the rats coming back for more we have introduced different Delivery Systems for it to meet specific customer needs such as a hanging feeder called Elevate and it's really the first bait system that we aware of that targets above ground infestations particularly roof rats that may not have access to ground stations like the ultimate we also recently launched a new delivery system the isolate bait system the design combines the tank and tray into one unit and deployment and setup is done through a simple placement and peel off Seal with users showing up to 80% reduction in time and effort contrapest works and it meets specific customer needs but it doesn't meet all customer needs so that's why we developed evolve let's turn to the next slide as mentioned evolve is our all new Soft Bait that has similar efficacy to contrapest but in a format that is more familiar and easier to deploy and is offered at at a competitive price to traditional rad denti side so it's designed as a minimum risk product by the EPA pursuant to Reg regulation 25b evolves active ingredient is cotton seed oil which has a well documented record of efficacy affecting fertility in rats similar to contrapest the low levels of the active ingredient in evolve are designed for the body mass of rats so larger mammals would need to repeatedly ingest a substantial amount over several weeks to see any effects evolve can be used anywhere rats are found its form is similar to Tiny sausages simply Place 2 to 12 pieces per location and up date based on R rat activity levels we recommend that evolve be secured in a tamper resistant bait station in areas where there's potential exposure to children to pets to Wildlife any other non-target species but as I mentioned evolve is designated by the EPA as a minimum risk product and is not a poison evolve has dramatically increased our reach in terms of markets and geographies while we have only launched the product in the last few months it is evident from the initial response that evolve is what retailers and Distributors have been looking for from castc this month we announced the launch of evolved Mouse this Soft Bait product utilizes the same revolutionary breakthrough fertility Solutions as evolved but to control mouse infestations so effectively it is doubling our addressable Market opportunity some of our lead Distributors and online retailers have already committed to sizable pre-orders and they will immediately add evolved Mouse to their website offerings uh product shipments have begun and we expect evolved Mouse to be a key driver to growth throughout the rest of the year so expanding distribution has really been a key theme for us and the introduction of evolve has been the key driver in this since evolves launch we have signed six key International exclusive distribution agreements from Hong Kong to Australia to the UAE each of the agreements requires an initial order of a full pallet minimum which is around $10,000 and the annual minimum start at $100,000 for exclusive distribution rights and they grow over time in agriculture we announced a new agreement with Wilco Distributing placed a multipet uh multi-pallet stocking order uh addressing the agricultural market and some very large lucrative agricultural opportunities this followed agreements with poy Enterprises for the grain managing area and agricom for egg production and protein production facilities in commercial commercial Pest Management we have sign agreements and have initial stocking orders from viseris and there 77 locations and DIY Pest Control to satisfy demand from their significant Pest Control customer base this is all happening with a very specific plan to expand our distribution and get better Target uh markets for very those very specific markets I just talked about some of the initiatives in international distribution Ager business and Pest Management additional channels include distribution retail distribution tion and e-commerce we have identified a significant opportunity in the industrial distribution area and are finalizing agreements for a rep agency with 28 outside sales reps to assist us in getting involved stocked with substantial Industrial Distributors such as Granger and fenol this will be our channel to reach the facilities management and food safety markets as well we recently received approval as a vendor and have a National Hardware r Tor system Network which consists over 40 4500 locations to fully address that Network and other similar retailers we have a plan to work with a rep agency to represent us with these major national and Regional retailers in Home Supply Hardware and agricultural retail locations this should be a key sales driver for us in 20 2024 using distribution to leverage and extend our sales reach is a key Initiative for the year and we're off to a great start you can expect further news in the coming months as we further penetrate the large Warehouse Club and other retailers finally we're in the process of expanding uh Distributors to the do-it-yourself Market through launch of a dedicated Amazon store which we are proud to announce went live last week again this will be another key driver for us in 2024 with these channels and distribution Partners uh we have focused on a very specific set of Target markets these are shown on the right each of them behave differently and we have designed our approach to them differently as per the market requirements and for those that may have not seen the New York City Council introduced a proposal for deployment of EPA approved rat birth control to address rodent infestations castc is the only manufacturer of commercially available EPA registered rat birth control which we believe bodess well for the our opportunity while New York City is not at all the only Urban Market for us it is a highly visible one and one that we will pursue after trying home remedies dry ice drowning buckets and other unproven tools it's good to see that the city is finally looking at tested and proven techniques in general how humanity is currently responding to two many Ro rodents is not working with many decades of effort and traditional responses the public health concerns and risk keep Rising there's also growing realization there's too much collateral damage in this war on rodents as evidenced by California's adoption of the ecosystems protection act which banned under many circumstances the four major second generation anti- coagent rodenticides commonly used in rad and Pest Control there are many Tailwinds in our favor from a company perspective we are executing we are delivering against our success imperatives by selling better improving our products and offering the customer more choices evolve is a gamechanging product for sinc that will be a key driver to our sales growth in 2024 and Beyond so now let's turn it over to Tom Chesterman our CFO to review the financials thanks Joel so Revenue during the first quarter was $415,000 an increase of 78% compared to $233,000 in q1 of 2020 uh 3 as Joel mentioned the key driver was evolved which represented more than 50% of our first quarter sales looking at it by our distributions vertical we saw a significant increase in sales to Pest Management professionals as well as commercial customers the cost of sales in the first quarter of 2024 was impacted by the higher cost of a key ingredient in our new evolved product due to a supply chain issue we corrected the issue as quickly as possible but we were forced to use higher cost ingredients in the first months of production we finished that transition at the end of the first quarter to give you an example of the impact if we had used the intended raw materials during the first quarter which we are now our gross profit would have been 52% moving on to the in the uh balance sheet at cash at the end of the quarter was $3.6 Million through a combination of rising sales a healthy gross margin and disciplined operating expense management were moving as quickly as possible possible to profitability we will need additional Capital though which we can access through warrant exercises and our Shelf registration Joel back to you thanks Tom uh to wrap things up let me just State what I said on our year end call our goal for 2024 is all about sales execution while remaining Innovative through the introduction of new and Innovative products to the market such as our new Mouse product we started the year off on a high note with strong overall growth in the first month and a half of the year and we looked to build on that through 2024 my excitement is as high as it's been since I joined the company I believe that we have the right mix of product offerings to fully attack the large and growing rodent Market a market that is in desperate need of innovation fragility control is that innovation in Sines Tech is clearly leading the
