[Music] hi legal professionals thank you so much for coming back to my channel here at legally techie we show you how to use google workspace formerly known as g suites for your law firm or solo practice today i'm going to show you how to send a request and review formal documents that need approval within google docs this is a new feature that was launched within google that allows you to request and review approvals that you need for your legal documents whether it's contracts and this applies also for doc sheets and slides as well and once you go ahead and request that the approver can approve reject add comments or edit documents depending on what you configure it to be so let's get started and i'll leave the more details in the comments below in the description too as well [Music] so the first thing you want to do is go to file and second option here is approvals now when you click on approvals you're going to get a side pop-up that's going to come up and from there you can go ahead and make a request so this is great if you're a paralegal or if you are a draft attorney and you need the approval of another attorney to go ahead before you submit documents you can do that so i'm going to go ahead and add the principal account for our environment you can go ahead you have the option to send a message you can add more information regarding the case and so forth also you have the option to add a due date and time so if you the hearing is coming up close you want to make sure that this gets approved go ahead and do that and you also have the option where the approver can edit the file they can make changes or you can have it where the file is locked before you send the approval request so that no changes are done during that process so i'm going to go ahead and send that request so this is what it looks like on the receiving end if you are that attorney that needs to do the approving you go ahead you have your alert that shows that you have approval requests you can go ahead and open that document from there and go ahead and make the changes that needs to be done so now that you have the document open you have your buttons here to approve it reject it and also view the details without leaving the screen of this document you have all these options here to approve and so forth and also leave comments for your paralegal or your draft attorney and again actively working on a file simultaneously allowing you to streamline your process with your legal documents and approval process so thank you so much for watching please share like subscribe and if you have any questions go ahead and put them in the comments below and i'll do my best to answer them for you
