Dave from invoice ninja today I'd like to take you through capturing a signature or perhaps getting your clients to accept some terms before they either approve a quote or pay for an invoice let's see what it looks like in settings client portal under the authorization tab you can see there's some options here if you want your clients to accept some terms for paying you can turn these on and if you wish to capture signatures you can turn these on here as well if you want the signature to be displayed on the PDF later you can toggle this on and if it's toggled off we just keep that uh signature stored on file forever so later on if you do want to show it you can just toggle this on here and regenerate the invoice and the signature will appear what does it look like from the client's perspective let's go through and view an invoice and now let's head through the payment process so the US will click pay now they'll select their payment method type and then they're challenged with the signature dialogue they can't move forward here unless they give you your signature next if the terms checkbox is enabled as well we'll present the invoice terms to the client and they'll need to agree to those here as well only then will they be sh on the payment form what about for quotes well sometimes you want your quotes to be accepted and approved before they changed and converted into an invoice let's see what that looks like so when the client attempts to approve the quote once again they'll see the signature dialogue they'll need to accept your terms and then the invoice is generated from that and they'll also then need to provide another signature at this point if th those settings are enabled for invoices as well
