hey buddy whole family my name is isabelle i own two six figure online businesses and today i'm going to be showing you guys everything there is to show in regards to shipping products before we get videos on how to start your website for free zero dollars monthly how to advertise and market your business all on your own from your phone and basically showing you guys step by step of how i grow my businesses to six figure earning businesses in less than a year don't you ever go into a usps office and ask them to ship and to give you the best price because they will not do that for you they will wind up giving you a highway higher price and trying to get you to buy their own packages which you will waste so much money for a product like this if you walked into usps and asked to ship this first they would tell you to buy their own envelope which is at least two to three dollars or they would tell you to use their boxes which cost a lot of money as well i'm gonna be showing you guys the cheapest packaging there is the cheapest shipping rates there is so we can profit as much as we can with our businesses i am also going to be sharing with you guys where we get all of our packaging supplies and everything you guys need to ship your online products shipping was definitely a very overwhelming process when i first started selling things online and but today i hope this video will not only show you it to get a better deal on supplies but i hope this video will also help you in easing this entire process so you are not afraid to start that online business that you've been thinking about starting so you guys do know i do teach drop shipping on this channel although we do not dropship we like to buy our products in bulk and have primary control over the products that we are selling which means we process and ship them right out of our own home so there are so many places where you can get your shipping supplies but a really great place that i do want to recommend to you guys to check out first of all for boxes custom boxes for shipping packages and custom polymers or boxes is this app called made in china made in china is a comprehensive service platform for global trade and it provides a one-step service for promoting international trade between china and wherever you are in the world they have over 3 600 categories so not only can you get shipping supplies with this platform but you can also even find really good products that you could buy in bulk as well it's full of reliable chinese suppliers which i know a lot of you guys are kind of eerie about working with chinese suppliers but i promise you that if you are able to message them i have never personally had a problem with chinese suppliers so through this app they have ratings they have they always do checks and i really do also love that with this kind of app you're able to see um their warehouse they show like their products and they're trying to build relationships with you guys at home because they they literally live by selling this stuff to you guys so this is their business and they're not here to scam anyone at least the ones that i have dealt with so far they even have face-to-face online meetings which i thought was really cool and factory verifications to ensure that you wouldn't get scammed with an app like this and what's cool is that it's convenient and user friendly so you can even make orders straight from your phone which is usually what we always do sometimes i do like to use my laptop just to see um a bigger picture of everything but i usually just place orders on my phone when ordering supplies and things like that and of course i'll leave the link down in the description box if you have trouble finding it you can click the link in the description box below i'll also leave the qr code up on the screen so if you're interested in just scanning the qr code you can do that right now but this app really does give you a lot of free coupons and you can enjoy thousands of different items all within one app which is very convenient for someone that's wanting to start a business and then you can finally bring those business ideas to life i also really love this app because if you go onto this app you can actually really find a lot of custom boxes which i'm going to show you guys right now so the boxes that we use right now we're currently looking into getting more custom boxes we have a lot of what we've ordered already but our next goal is to start getting custom boxes so if you just type in custom shipping boxes on this app you guys can check out um and like see right here they have so many different styles and this is gonna be way cheaper if you order it from an app like this and in bulk so like for this one right here it's only 65 cents each and that comes with 100 and that's around the same price that we're paying for our boxes right now so it's better to have custom boxes and to build your brand rather than to even have what we have right now so that's actually our plan as of right now that i did want to share it with you guys too and it definitely helps to make your customers remember ordering from you and what it's like and of course if you guys want to customize like this box for example all you guys would have to do is just click this button send inquiry and you can even click on customize and they actually allow you to customize some of the pieces right there and then which i think is super awesome because then you can kind of just play around with it see what you think and then you can go ahead and send that inquiry whenever you're ready okay so first let's talk about what supplies you're going to use with shipping so first of all i will show you what we personally use these down here are from you pack and ship so i have this one it's like a pineapple one from you pack and chef and then we keep a couple not so many of these small white boxes just because we do have like varying sizes but i actually started with these and these are just from amazon so i'll leave the size here of what boxes these are and i'll also put the link down in the description box below so we have these types of sizes and i'll leave the size up on the screen of each one we have so we keep a bunch of these these leaf boxes are also from you pack and check these are what we ship all of our bow babies in if somebody orders one to two to three or sometimes more bow babies these ones are the most durable that we have found so far so we really love these and we haven't had any as many accidents i did used to order some on that were thinner and they weren't as good so i definitely recommend these and this is not sponsored but it's from you pack and ship and you can also get these on amazon for lesser quantities if you guys are just starting out now as you guys know our items are smaller and they don't weigh as much for example my cousin he has this amazing art that he creates which i'll show you guys right here what he creates um although what he uses it does weigh a pretty big amount so if you're shipping something that's very heavy that's when you do actually want to take advantage of the usps flat rate boxes but still don't go to the post office because they'll still be more expensive at the post office you will be shipping using those usps flat rate boxes which i will show you how to actually buy the labels and print the labels from your home today in this video as well for somebody that's dealing with more heavy items this is definitely something that you could take advantage of because it's heavier but for anyone that's selling light items such as ours then you do not should not use those flat rate boxes so as far as the packaging goes that's what we use for our boxes now we always like include like decorative um little things like this this for example we use in our bubble bundles and it's like a shed and these are from the dollar tree they're literally a dollar from the dollar tree and this is the best um price that i have found i could probably order in bulk from china as well but i always need these in a pinch so i usually get them from our local dollar tree and i've seen these all over the place as well we also use paper like this within our boxes because we do want our boxes to look nice and when the customer opens them we want them to actually have you know something that's around the product so we also use this tissue paper which we also get from the dollar tree and local dollar stores always have them for a really great deal and of course if you guys are just starting out you guys if you guys just want to test shipping and you're not really sure like say you're only ordering 20 items and you only really want 20 envelopes you can actually do you can also go on amazon they do actually have deals on amazon as well that you can get a lower quantity on amazon if you absolutely need to they're going to be a little bit more expensive on amazon but it's not the end of the world and you are will still profit and it still will be cheaper than going to the post office you guys for a small item should not have to spend any more than three dollars and fifty cents to four dollars in the united states to ship a small item but if you go to the post office they definitely way back when they had charged me eleven dollars to ship a small item so now that you guys have seen what supplies we use now it's time to show you guys how we package our orders and how we print our shipping labels for a very cheap price and i'm also gonna be sharing with you guys briefly how we have been packaging and shipping international orders is as well because i actually just started shipping internationally so i'm very excited to announce that we are shipping internationally as well so i do want to share with you guys how we started doing and what system we're using to get the best rates to ship internationally so now i'm going to show you guys how we print our shipping labels so this printer you do not need this fancy-schmancy thing if you're just starting out you don't feel like you have to get this we use this though and it saves us tons and tons of time so if you're starting with a big budget get it if not or you're cheap like i was then you don't have to get it you can just use a regular printer which i have actually another video about how to use a regular printer and shipping labels to have another video about that on my channel but i wanted to show you guys this one so it's really good and it just prints and these labels were free from ups so we're saving on ink paper and so it winds up like even you know and you guys save literally so much time with this because you're not having to cut out all the labels and get the page wait for it to print it's so quick i'll show you guys so this is our big curtail site i can't show you guys names of our customers or anything so i'm going to do the best that i can just showing you guys um just with names and stuff so basically like you're going to have your orders over here and they're going to give you your information um now my one store is through big cartel the free plan and the other store that we have is through wix because wix did sponsor us i know you guys have been wondering about that and i do really do like wix so far um but it's definitely for advanced people so if you guys are just starting business i still definitely recommend big cartel but wix is cool too for more advanced businesses okay so you're going to click sign in this is called go shippo you guys it's just called apps.gohippo.com after you make an account then you're going to see the screen you're going to just click create label i want to just test and see how much something costs you guys can just go to google like restaurants okay so i'm just gonna like pick a random restaurant here and we're gonna just pretend like this is our order so just pretend like this restaurant is the customer okay you guys so we're gonna pick bahama breeze and we're gonna drag it see how you can drag it over it's really convenient all right so their address is this so they gave us this address for our order we're just gonna pretend so it's the street address and then you're gonna click tamp you can just keep dragging everything over so now it's going to bring you to this page so then you're going to click custom dimensions and we have this preset so if you're just getting started you guys i always guesstimate we do not have a weight i just guesstimate three ounces for small products like our keychains so for something like this i just put three ounces then we just selected the dimensions for this for the product so then you're gonna click save it's gonna pull up the rates it's only gonna cost three dollars to ship this so then you're gonna click buy and you're gonna click confirm purchase and then it will just quick it's gonna very quickly come out of that like super fast then it's gonna give you the tracking number here so you're going to just copy it and on big cartel you're going to click mark as shipped and you can just put the tracking in right there and so once the shipping label is printed then you are going to we usually just wrap it up in a bubble wrap like this and then we will usually wrap it in another paper and then we use one of these to ship it in these are the cards that we use i get these for 10 cents each and if you guys want to learn how we do that i have a tutorial about that as well so i will post a tutorial on the upper right hand corner for you guys to click on if you guys want to see how we design and print these for 10 cents each these labels are like stickers so we're able to just paste them directly on the packages and then we just drop the packages off at our local usps and sometimes we'll catch the post office people outside so we'll like run out there and just give it to them directly in their truck but that's basically what we do to ship our items and it's super easy you don't have to be waiting in lines at the post office you don't have to be getting scammed by the post office not that they're scamming but they give you such high prices so if you guys are in the situation like my cousin where he is going to be having very heavy packages you guys will just actually instead just click carrier provided paracels and it will show you guys the flat rate boxes right here of um what you can choose and this will also help you to um just use these if you're shipping something very heavy first one more thing that i want to show you guys is they have a button right here called add signature confirmation so with all orders over 100 we always add a signature confirmation and we click that box that i just showed you guys the reason why we do this is because people do try to scam small businesses and sometimes they try to call their bank to get their money back even though we all know that their items have been delivered but if you select signature confirmation which is usually just three dollars extra then they'll have a harder time disputing it with their bank because it shows that they signed for this product so if you guys are artists i would highly recommend doing that because imagine if you put all of your time into a painting and you sell it for a hundred dollars and then someone wants to call their bank and try to get their money back or who knows what and you not only lost so many hours you lost your time you lost your product and you lost your money this is just something that's going to protect you so i definitely recommend if they spent a lot of money on your site or you spend a lot of time making the product definitely add that signature confirmation and what you guys can do is you guys can just work that into the price as well so you could charge seven dollars for shipping and then you will pay six dollars with the signature confirmation check also in regards to pricing i definitely recommend that you guys charge five dollars and fifty cents so as you guys can see it costed around three to four dollars to ship the items through you usps go shippo although i definitely think that you guys should charge 550 because after the big cartel fee or the shopify whatever you guys are using for your websites the payment processor stripe or afterpay they always take a fee so that will help you to cover those fees as well or if the item accidentally gets shipped back and they included the wrong address which happens literally all the time to us people are always putting the wrong addresses printing their own apartments not including their apartments which sometimes we have to send the package and we have to pay again to send the package because we're not going to ask them for more money but that's just a buffer so that 550 is going to be a buffer to prevent that from coming out of your pocket in the long run so for international shipping we charge 14.99 and we pay around ten dollars to ship their item instead of using go shippo we use pirate ship pirate ship is the same thing as goshippo except they have something called simple export rates all you guys have to do to activate this is you just go to the pirate ship chat and you just basically say can you activate it for me and they will activate that for you to get cheaper international shipping prices then you're going to fill out a customs form in relation to that country which they actually walk you through on pirate ship and for international shipping we use all the same boxes that we use for national shipping we just use extra bubble wrap to ensure it arrives to them safely since it's very very expensive to ship a gun if anything were to happen i definitely regret waiting to ship internationally because our orders have soared since we started allowing international shipping and people have not cared about this high shipping price like i always thought they would so definitely you guys don't limit yourself i would definitely ship worldwide as well i hope this video helped you not to only show you guys how to ship your items but to
