everybody on this episode of mr. fix I'm gonna show you how to reactivate all this thermal color on these old receipts remember that rigid saw that conked out on me well let's try to reactivate this okay so I've seen it on the Internet but I haven't seen a real good some people use almost like a George Foreman grill do it I don't want to do it let me try with a blow dryer okay and we're going to do this in time to see how it works now what they tell you to do is don't point it at the face let's turn it over I'm just putting a cloth on here okay we're gonna make sure that the blow dryer is on the high heat fire it up let's see what happens you [Music] like alright you don't succeed the first time let's think of something else the blow dryer was just probably gonna take too long let's see this with a panini press eyes even the couple guys did on the Internet I don't know if it's true or not let's try that remember that receipt that we had that we're probably not gonna get the saw fixed well let's try that so we're gonna put it on here and see what happens oh yeah burned it okay so you see it's actually coming through but the hotness this is a really old receipt hey guys like this this is like 20 years old so although I don't know how good it's gonna come out it probably would work a lot better if it was fresh all right so you see here exactly it's actually not bad good luck you would have never done this with a blow dryer you would have been that forever so let's see it actually isn't bad it isn't badly you could check it out much better than probably what it was but remember that this is a 20 year old receipt and you know it's not gonna be just like you bought it like from day one here it's not gonna be like that but it's actually pretty good I can read it a lot better so I think it looks pretty good you know obviously if you probably bring it to the store with this to probably think twice but you know what I can read the numbers a lot better than what it was um you could probably photocopy see how it turns out on a photocopy but like I said this is a 20 year old receipt and for me to be able to read it now you know let's say it's something but definitely blow dryer did not work something you're gonna need something with a lot of heat either a pen this Pizza pres hair straightener something like that a lot of heat and and you'll be able to read it I don't know how long it's gonna last though so if I put this in a filing cabinet I don't know if they'll start fading even worse but you know as far as reading it I think it's pretty good after you cook this thing there's one one thing to do that's time to eat thanks for watching
