hey guys welcome back to another video so in today's video i'm going to show you how i got this look that i've been doing on repeat i love how it looks it's so pretty and effortless like it looks like my eyes are defined and you can definitely tell that i am wearing makeup but it's not like super super obvious makeup it's just very natural and very very pretty so i'm going to show you how i got this look and i used a palette from ilia today actually used their warm nude palette i'm going to show you also how you could get this look using the cool nude palette so if you have this one so there's that also i'm not sure if i included it in the title of this video or not i'm not sure if i'm going to or not but i'm going to tell you a story about something that happened about a week ago while we were snowshoeing through the woods yeah still kind of can't believe that happened um anyway so there's that as well i figured it'd be like a fun time to tell you that story um and also the sweater that i'm wearing today is available on the canadian website and it's on sale right now and it comes in quite a few different sizes so it is sold out on the us website unfortunately and i can see why like it's such a nice sweater i'm wearing it like on repeat so there's that and i want to show you something that just came in the mail for me today so i've been using the beauty counter the clean dio and i had promised that i would start using this at the beginning of the year and i would update on it so i've been using the scent fresh coconut love this like love it i can't believe that it's actually as good as what i've been hearing sometimes i'm skeptical especially with clean deodorants but i've been loving this so much that i bought the full size and it's pretty hefty like the packaging is really pretty so i got fresh coconut again i have all the other scents in minis have you started using them but i knew that this would just be like my favorite scent so when you open it it looks like this i love the aesthetic of the packaging and it is a refillable packaging so after you purchase this you can buy refills for it that are definitely cheaper and wow like this is really nice like very sturdy and it's like substantial you know it has a little cover on the top that you can take off and that's where you get your deodorant and then you just twist it up like you would a traditional deodorant and it says beauty counter the clean deal on it i really like the packaging it's really nice but i'm going to continue using my small size for now i just knew that i didn't want to like run out of it because i really do like it and the biggest challenges that i have faced around using clean deodorants are that number one they don't work number two they irritate my underarms especially after i shower and like especially if i shave my underarm area but this one doesn't do that also sometimes i would use a natural deodorant and then my underarms would go musty smelling if you ever experienced that it's so weird um i know i'm not alone though because my mom has experienced that too so i don't know if it's just like the ph of my body or what but that does not happen with this one and i actually can smell this like throughout the day it kind of lingers a bit so love it definitely would recommend trying it especially if you've had some trouble with natural deodorant so i think that's all i want to share with you let's go ahead and jump into the makeup look so i'm just starting with my beauty counter dew skin tinted spf i think i might take my kids snowshoeing today so i definitely want to have my spf on and actually have a snowshoeing story something that happened to us last week that was a little bit i was a little bit scared i'm not gonna lie we decided to go not too far from our house actually it's just a trail that kind of goes alongside the woods so i had both of my kids and molly was with us so everything was going great we went all the way down turned around came back up my older son decided that he had had enough so he kind of continued on up the trail to my mom and dad's house we took a little detour into the woods well we got so far in and i stopped for like a second and i'm like and i we kind of talked a little bit continued on until we got to this little open area and molly was just a little bit ahead of us well we were just standing there looking complete silence there was like no crunching from our snowshoes and then i heard it a very distinct roar and at first i was like a little uncertain because i had my um my earphones in i didn't have them turned on but i thought like if we head on down the trail the kids get ahead of me i could turn on like an audio book or something like that but i never ended up doing that so i just had them sitting in my ears so everything was like a little bit muffled you know anyway i didn't want to panic or anything so i looked at my son and i said did you hear that and he's like yeah mom that's why i wanted to stop a couple of times because i kept on hearing that noise and anyway like so my brain just like starts firing like what was that sound like what animal would have made that sound and molly was still like a little bit ahead of us so just to like ease his mind i said oh it's probably just a cow because um just above from where we were there are like some fields and the cows were out on this particular day actually like wasn't too far from our house um so anyway i said to him like i think we should probably turn around and like leave and i noticed where molly was standing like i said we were kind of like an opening but we were surrounded in woods and i could see some tracks just in front of her so i don't know if she had like smelled something and she was just kind of standing there totally content she wasn't barking or she didn't seem bothered in the least so anyway we turned around and we started going out rather quickly by this point my son was like a little bit scared and i told him like calm down like you're making me nervous anyway it honestly like wasn't too far into the woods so we made it out pretty quickly and then we continued up the lane or whatever and the whole time i just kept thinking like what was it we just encountered because i didn't see anything but we definitely heard it like it was very close and it was off in this direction so which is actually like kind of closest to like where our homes are and stuff and the open field anyway you'd have to like you'd have to be there to understand it and anyway we got home and i decided to go on youtube when i got home just to because i had an idea at that point of what it might have been so i went on my phone i'm gonna start my foundation because this could take a bit this is the carewise foundation so anyway i got home started looking up on youtube what i thought that it might have been and sure enough like within like a couple seconds into the video i heard the roar and i knew immediately that it had to have been a bobcat now i personally have never ever had an encounter with a bobcat before and i've never actually ever even seen a wild like a cat in the wild um however one day my mom and dad were going through the woods like on the trail it was a lot further down like quite a bit a ways away from our house and my mom saw like something cross the road or the trail i guess i should call it but anyway she said that it was like larger than what you would expect a domestic cat to be and it also had kind of like a short tail but it wasn't super short like it was kind of like a stubby tail but not super stubby so anyway they had always kind of thought that it was a bobcat that crossed the trail and this actually wasn't that long ago so that was one of the other reasons why when i heard that noise and like had time to process it i figured that's probably what it was at one time i'm not sure if i was on youtube when i had my bangal cats but i had two bang gao cats and when they meow or when they get upset they have like a very high pitched roar and this was like a much deeper like definitely like a wild definitely a wild sound so anyway the whole evening i just couldn't stop thinking about like oh my gosh we weren't even in the woods very far and that happened thankfully like we were all okay and molly was fine everything she followed us right back out i'm guessing maybe it was up in a tree or something because when i heard it like i heard it off to this to this side of where we were standing but when i looked like it's all treed right so they would kind of blend in but i do kind of feel like it was like up high okay i just finished up my foundation so i can finish telling you the rest of the story before we move on to the rest of my makeup but anyway we refined everything and the next day jay woke up really early that morning and he must have already had in his mind that he was going to go investigate so he got a snowmobile and him and my youngest son went down into the woods right where we were and like right where i described it to be because we're pretty familiar with like all the trails and stuff throughout the woods anyway and i told them like this is where we were this is where molly was and where i saw the tracks and where i heard the noise and everything would have been fresh because it didn't snow anymore or anything but so anyway sure enough he came back and he's like yep i saw exactly where molly was where the other tracks were like it and it definitely was like a bobcat because it was he said like the tracks were definitely like larger than a domestic cat but it's very very similar so anyway i'm like oh my gosh like the one time i'm not super adventurous like keep in mind i'm a cancer so i like safe i like predictable but the one time i was like okay it's fine we'll go into the woods we'll take the dog with us and everything and also our neighbors they're in the woods all the time and they always are like saying to me jenna why don't you walk through the woods because i often walk on the side of the road with our dog which i like because it's like very predictable and you know all that so anyway the one time i decided to be like a little bit adventurous and go into the woods we have that encounter you can bet i will not be doing that again and i don't mind going in the woods as long as i'm on a snowmobile the rtv even the dirt bike my son my older son i will go through the woods on the dirt bike no problem with any of that i need to have like a motorized vehicle that i can escape fast if i need to um but anyways just like oh my gosh like i'm sure it's a lot more common in other parts of canada in the us to like have run-ins with wildcats but where i live it's just like not common at all it's like super super rare to even see anything like that so just knowing that they're like not really that far from us is like a little unnerving i can remember when we lived in alberta there would be like warnings if you're in the mountains for a cougar and also this one time we were in bc and we decided to stop at the scenic area and there were warning signs for like cougar and i was like no i'm out like i am not into i do not want to have any kind of run-ins like that so so anyway that was last friday and here it is like friday again and i still have the snowshoes i actually rented them locally and i'm thinking like i would love to go snowshoeing again but we need to find like a different spot to go like we're not going into the woods that's for sure anyway okay let's continue on with my makeup so i did my carewise foundation my spf now moving on to concealer and i love this little routine it looks so nice on i usually just take this on my cheeks i like extra coverage on my cheeks through my t-zone and on this massive massive temple i have on my chin it's awful so that's my bobcat story thankfully we are all okay and nothing happened and i think more than anything it was just like a warning to take a hike from that area if you have wild cats where you live or if you've ever seen one like in the wild let me know in the comment section down below i would love to hear like your experiences i am going to fill in my brows now the plume nourish and define brow pencil in the shade ashy daybreak this is still my ride or die my go-to the color is perfect the formula is excellent and i've bought so many refills now for this um for this pencil and it's still going strong the only real change is that all of the writing is now worn off which is expected after you've gone through like oh my gosh like have i gone through 10 now like it's a lot so i usually use one up every couple of months anyway the only other thing i have to say about the little story i just told you is that i still need to go visit my neighbor who is in the woods all the time just to ask them if they've ever had any encounters if they've ever seen one because they're literally like in the woods all the time um yeah they're cutting wood they're making new trails like doing all kinds of things like that so i feel like if anyone would have spotted one or would have seen one at this point it should be them so i need to go and like investigate further and also tell them about our little experience being in the woods so which they're gonna probably laugh at me because they're the ones that always like encourage me like jenna go down the woods it's so nice and quiet down there and yeah nice and quiet all right anyway i just got this in the mail actually today it's the beauty counter illuminating cream highlighter in the shade bronze glow i use this for a bronzer and i just think it gives the most natural look especially in the winter time when i don't want like a super super obvious bronze but i just want to kind of warm my skin up a little tiny bit so i just finished up my other one entirely so i'm just going to take this it's so buttery and creamy and like smooth it's so easy to apply like i love this product so much i hope that they don't discontinue this like i wouldn't mind if they repackaged it i wouldn't care if they did that but please don't change the formula of this or like change anything about it like i really really love this product and like you can see it's not it's not crazy and it blends out so so easily so i'm just using my real techniques sculpting brush and i just go like this it just blends in so nicely and it doesn't look it doesn't look fake looking this is such a nice look for if you want like you want it to look like you put some effort in but it's not super super obvious that you're wearing a ton of makeup it's kind of been my vibe lately before i forget i want to apply a treatment to my lips just to kind of prep them so this is the ilia lip wrap hydrating mask and it has some really nourishing ingredients but also some mild like very gentle exfoliators so you can apply this at night or you can apply it like before you apply your lip products and it feels really really nice great for the winter time it has like a nice thickness about it but it's kind of like pillowy and cushiony so i'm gonna let that set and i'm going to apply my blush so this is where you can kind of take this look two different ways you could take this look the way i'm taking it today it's going to be like a little bit warmer or you could use some cooler tones so i'm going to share with you the options that i use when i want like a cooler tone look but today i'm doing like a little bit of a warmer look so i'm using the carewise cream blush in the shade precious today and like i said this is for a warmer look but if you wanted to do like a cooler look you could use the carewise cream blush in the shade reverence i've shown this one a ton and it's one of my favorites i use this one a lot um so anyway you could use this but today i'm going to use precious and this is so effortless so so easy and that's what i love about it i literally just take my finger in there and then i usually do like three little dots on this side three dots on that side and then i just use my fingertips and blend it in it's so easy i might need to apply like a little bit more to that side but it's so easy like i just smile and this is the best the best cream blush formula i've ever tried honestly if you're going to buy a cream blush just do yourself a favor and splurge on the carawise cream blush you have lots of colors to choose from but they just look so pretty on the skin like they melt in they're so natural looking they're so effortless and easy to apply like you can't screw it up honestly it's so easy so yeah i love them now for highlight i've been using the same same thing it honestly doesn't matter what look i'm doing if i'm doing the cool look or the warm look i'm still using the rms beauty luminizing powder in the shade grand am it's just such a great shade it just works beautifully for me so i'd encourage you to choose one that works well for your skin tone and that way you can pair it with any blush any eye look you know what i mean now for eyeshadow this is so so easy i'm using the iliac this is their necessary eyeshadow palette in the shade warm nude i'm going to use a couple of shades of this palette but if you're doing a cooler look and you're using like let's say the carewise reverence blush you could use the ilia necessary eyeshadow palette in the shade cool nude and i'll show you what shades i use when i use this palette it's a little bit different but i'm going to start with the shade in the crease of the eye and usually like when i do my eyeshadow i will take my crease shade like all the way in but i'm not going to be doing that this time i'm just really focusing it on the outer corner mostly just giving like a little bit of definition right here because this is going to just add a little something like we don't want to look super super obvious eyeshadow we just want to look really really natural if you want to you could add a little bit of this warmer shade but i'm just going to stick to this one color and i'm doing the exact same thing on this side just really focusing it on the outer corner next i'm taking this straight to the point brush you want just like a really narrow brush that you can use against your lash line i'm going into this dark brown shade and i'm just going to run this right along the lash line smudging it right into the lashes you can go all the way in if you want really depends on your preference i like to take it just like right to about here next i'm taking the masterpiece crease brush and i'm just going to soften that line i'm literally just kind of going back and forth over it just to soften it so it doesn't look super super obvious because the whole point of this look is for it just to look really effortless and natural and like from far away you can see that the person like has really defined pretty eyes but up close it doesn't look like a harsh line or anything like that it just looks super super natural to finish up this eye i'm just taking the same shade on my straight to the point brush and now i'm running it along the lower lash line so keeping it really tight to my lashes i'm just applying a super thin line you don't want this to be very thick and then again i'm going back in with my masterpiece crease brush so i'm going back and forth over it until it no longer looks like a harsh line it just looks kind of like a little bit smoky same exact thing for this eye i'm just going to run this along the lash line and smudge it out on both the top and the bottom so that's all i'm going to do for eyeshadow with the warm nude palette but let me just show you quickly how i would achieve a similar look using the cool nude palette so i would take this creamy white shade and i would just fluff that all over the lid with my seamless sheer blend brush it's just going to make blending a lot easier and then i would take this darker shade and i would just apply a little bit of it in the outer corner just create a bit of depth and then i would run the same shade on the lower and upper lash line smudging it out the same way i did with um with this dark brown it's actually going to smudge out a little bit easier because this is actually a lighter color so that's it for the eyes now well i shouldn't say that's all i am going to do a little bit of a white pencil on my lower rim just to kind of brighten things up a little tiny bit if you want you could do a nude pencil this is the one from 100 pure there was a question on my last video whether or not i use mascara on my lash extensions or not and i actually do on very rare occasion i always apply it to my bottom lashes so the one that i use is actually from the salon that i get my lashes done at and it works fine everything but if i were to like recommend a clean mascara i do have a few favorites and i'll be sure and link to them down below now i'm lining my lips with the rms beauty daytime nude lip liner so as you can see with the lip pencil i'm just lining my lips i'm not over drawing them or anything and i'm just feathering it in a little bit on the corners here just right through here and i'm kind of leaving the center and then for my lip color i've been doing like one of two things because usually like when i'm doing all this i'm heading out of the house and i know that i'm gonna have to wear a mask so i'm either applying one of the fickle beauty lip color serums nice would actually look really nice with this look nice and nice um that's one color and also kind would also work really well but i've been also enjoying this because this is very like there's no color to this um it's a beauty counter lip shear in the shade pearl and i believe this probably comes in the new um the new formula the sheer genius formula but basically this is what it looks like and it has like that amazing vanilla scent but it's very very light like it doesn't have much color but it has like a ton of like little tiny reflective particles throughout it and it's really moisturizing and in combination with a lip liner i just think it's really pretty on the lips it's very very light and um definitely is moisturizing it feels nice and i get just enough color you know anyway i hope you
