car detailing band right here how long have you had it wait how long have you been doing the business you just started what so in this video you gotta learn the struggle to starting a car detailing is a lot of struggle yeah really a lot of trial and error so let's talk about the supplies you need to start a car detailing business of course you need a truck or a van then you need a power washer a generator and a water tank and of course the chemicals like the soap and the wax you know the basics it really doesn't seem like a huge investment but this is how much question invested on his car detailing business so question you decided to do the whole detailing business you got a truck you got equipment how much do you think you got invested so far so far I'm always curious I will made someone start their business did they get fired did they hate their job or was it because of the gas well let's find out we'll make Christian start his own mobile car detailing business how did you know you want to get into car detailing before you got into car detailing so I used to work at a car wash Oh a car wash I knew how to do everything already a car wash scene is very simple didn't really like working for somebody one day I decided hey let me let me try this out I did that for a little bit people started liking what I did and I decided one day hey man I'm tired of this job I'm gonna quit I'm gonna buy a van and I'm gonna see what happens sometimes you just gotta take that leap of faith and I know it's scary but if you don't you're gonna live your life with regret wishing you should have done it when you had the chance yeah I had to think oh yeah yeah this quick really tell my wife I just came home then you just went Florian went for it yeah and how was that transition how did you feel about it well you nervous yeah I didn't know what was gonna happen and that were you out with it right now do you have full-time business or is it still part-time or even a hobby yeah do you make a full-time living really it went really good starting off which it wasn't what I expected yeah we asked you what were some early struggles those trial-and-error you were talking about I started off with different chemicals didn't like some like some started swapping them out a lot of people make a mistake and go and just say I'm not just buy everything from here and you know that's not the way to go because you're not gonna like everything oh so this is the repeat customer oh yeah yeah today we're doing crimps and wash spray wax and then we're gonna do the inside we're gonna do the leather conditioning at home hundred bucks a hundred bones ease how long do these guy thank you and now we're all right well let's get started [Music] one of the most popular questions I get asked this ray is how much should I be charging for my service or product and to be honest it depends on your area and your competition but here's what Christian did to get his answer and to be honest it's very sneaky but it works how did you determine your prices because we're talking about earlier and you kind of have a little system how you gonna pick your crisis by hitting up other car detailing businesses yeah so what I did is I went online started seeing people's prices online if they had prices if they did it I'll send them a message that could cause some potential customer and ask them hey how much for this how much for that ask two different people yeah we get an idea of what people around you are charging just so I can see what how he does it oh yeah so I asked him some questions just never tell him that I'm trying to do it but just to see what he does and he doesn't write one thing that will help you give that great customer service it's having different payment options I don't know about you but I hate it with a passion when I go buy something and I try paying with my card and they don't take heart amen [Music] oh they tell me I have to download an app that I've never heard of or they send me to their only fans page and now man they're not getting me again with that look how many payment options question has for his customers so something you learned through this business is that not everybody has cash on them yeah so so what other sources do you have for your customers to pay so other than cash I have Zell PayPal cash app Ben Moe and I take debit and credit damn bro you take money orders - that's the size [Music] [Applause] [Music] so it's been about an hour we're almost done with the car uh-huh it doesn't seem hard at all yes it's just labor now I'm learning a lot about car detailing business like for example you have your regular customers and then you have contract work where you go to a company and just offer them a quote to wash their cars we're gonna go somewhere right now where they they're gonna do 12 cars plus 25 that's $300 yo hey don't be surprised if I open my own range entrepreneur car cleaning service alright and the last option to make money with a car detailing business I guess there's a nap dad kind of like the uber for car washing we've seen some of those around and there's so many different ways to make money with car detailing I think I'm in the wrong business so we're right here about to get some water and I'm wondering what can't you just fill up the water tank at home and why can't you Christian so this water is nice clean and it it actually is easier for you when you're dry in the car because it kind of slides off Oh it drives itself but 20 but 20 cents a gallon 20 cents I've got many gallons are we gonna get we're gonna get about 100 120 gallons so I use a phone counter or to choke the whole car well not everybody uses this but it's a lot easier are we gonna see that today that Miko Piper wax this is top-of-the-line stuff man I'm Christian and he was telling me that we actually had a customer and we were gonna go to but they lacked in the last minute what to tell you what SKUs do they tell you maybe we can schedule it for later on today yeah that's a big issue because that slot could have been available for somebody else yeah later on doesn't work for me because I already have my day plan though that's nothing tough that so they pretty much just leave you the keys and use King the car and then come put it back [Music] how many more cars you got after is he's been knocking them out pretty good so we got four left okay not too bad and then we're gonna go to their spot after this yeah [Music] it's two o'clock this client hit us up saying hey we need all these parts clean and I'm trying to get some tacos over your some la tacos or we're working as fast as possible to get all the cars done [Music] so he said he wants me to come every Friday every other Friday okay so we set that up but then I told them what about the trucks you know the big ones big trailers yeah and came up with the price and he said he was gonna come another day to do on Sundays or Saturday the trucks now a question I get asked a lot is rayon what about the license the very first thing you need is the business license from the county and Christian says you paid $150 for it then you need business insurance which is about $80 a month then of course you need insurance for your vehicle and you can't forget the Virgin Mary candle and 7up because you just never know but 6:37 man and they just finish the last two cars the part that you guys want to know how much money did they make in one day be telling cars with their car wash business and I'm about to tell you over tacos [Music] so what everybody's waiting for is how much did you make one day detailing cars and we're gonna break it down because your first car it was a foot detailing job huh and he paid how much 100 bucks plus 52 you got 15 tip bro the second spot the next you and your partner wash what was like 12 cars and how much is that 315 315 dollars whatever we're dipping everything and the last bar with my other trucks you know what it's L telling em bro show them the check shown the check three hundred and twenty dollars of course for the nets and the trucking company you split it with your partner but hey this is how
