foreign [Music] my name is Nicole Krauss and I was a 2022 Fulbright Haze participant to South Korea which focused on the language culture and education system of South Korea I applied for the program because I teach English Learners and I value every opportunity to put myself in their shoes in the past I have mainly traveled to English and Spanish-speaking countries and this program gave me the chance to step outside my comfort zone and broaden my own experiences studying the language really helped me remember what it's like to not be able to communicate easily with the people around me which is something my students feel on a regular basis I was reminded just how stressful but also exhilarating that feeling can be in addition to language I love being able to learn about other cultures and it's so much more meaningful to be immersed in them rather than just reading about them or learning through videos our group was able to visit many sites of historical and cultural importance includi
