Bride and Groom are hereinafter sometimes referred to as Couple . The Ministry anticipates that ____________________ (Name) will be the Officiant on behalf of the Ministry. 1. Officiant shall perform a marriage ceremony for the Couple on ______________ (date) at ___________ (time of day) and at _______________________ (name of facility) located at _______________________________________________________ ___________________ (street address, city, state, zip code) . 2. Officiant warrants that he/she is recognized as a legally ordained minister and fully qualified to officiate at weddings in the State of Maryland. 3. Officiant requests a gift of $___________ for performing the ceremony with half to be paid in advance of the wedding. Premarital counseling is available and a gift of $___________ is requested. 4. Officiant will work with the Couple by e-mail, telephone or in person for up to _____________ (time, e.g., one hour) to allow them to prepare or chose their custom service. Officiant has sample services available for the couple or the couple may chose to modify the samples, create a ceremony or use one of their own choosing. The Officiant reserves the right to refuse any service that he/she is not comfortable performing, at which time a refund may be made to the couple. 5. Officiant shall arrive at the wedding location approximately _____ minutes prior to the time of the scheduled service. A. Officiant is prepared to dress in the manner that suits the style of your wedding, provided it allows him/her to present a dignified image in keeping with the character of the rite of matrimony. He/she has vestments that can be worn, if you desire that level of formality B. Service includes travel within _____ miles of _______________________ (Name of City and State) ; a half an hour for rehearsal the day before the ceremony; the ceremony itself (maximum half-hour of actual ceremony time) and time needed for post-ceremonial photography (maximum 1/2 hour photo time). C. Attendance at pre-wedding and post wedding activities for blessings and prayer are dependent upon the availability of the Officiant. 6. The Officiant gives permission to the couple to use his/her likeness in any photographs, videos or other recording media in connection with the wedding ceremony. Likewise the couple gives permission to Ministry to use their likeness in any photographs, videos or other media for marketing purposes. 7. The couple understands and agrees as follows:  That they must obtain a valid marriage license from the appropriate jurisdiction for which the ceremony will be performed;  They shall provide such valid marriage license to the Officiant to review and execute at the rehearsal or prior to the ceremony;  Officiant cannot and will not perform a marriage ceremony without receiving the appropriate valid marriage license prior to the ceremony;  Upon presenting a valid marriage license to the Officiant, the couple will sign the official marriage certificate;  The responsibility for filing this certificate with the county clerk’s office is solely that of the Officiant; and  The Officiant is legally obligated to return the completed License to the County Clerk’s office where the License was obtained by the couple within 30 days of the wedding ceremony. 8. The invalidity of any portion of this Agreement will not and shall not be deemed to affect the validity of any other provision. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, the parties agree that the remaining provisions shall be deemed to be in full force and effect as if they had been executed by both parties subsequent to the expungement of the invalid provision. 9. The failure of either party to this Agreement to insist upon the performance of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, or the waiver of any breach of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, shall not be construed as subsequently waiving any such terms and conditions, but the same shall continue and remain in full force and effect as if no such forbearance or waiver had occurred. 10. This Agreement shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland. 11. Unless provided herein to the contrary, any notice provided for or concerning this Agreement shall be in writing and shall be deemed sufficiently given when sent by certified or registered mail if sent to the respective address of each party as set forth at the beginning of this Agreement. 12. Any dispute under this Agreement shall be required to be resolved by binding arbitration of the parties hereto. If the parties cannot agree on an arbitrator, each party shall select one arbitrator and both arbitrators shall then select a third. The third arbitrator so selected shall arbitrate said dispute. The arbitration shall be governed by the rules of the American Arbitration Association then in force and effect. 13. This Agreement shall constitute the entire agreement between the parties and any prior understanding or representation of any kind preceding the date of this Agreement shall not be binding upon either party except to the extent incorporated in this Agreement.
